My kitten, Ivory, had bright Yellow Eyes when she was little. I made an instagram story with her trying to touch my hand from behind the window glass, and I put this song on as a background. That's how I discovered you. Now, because of a strange and terrible sickness, she's gone. She was only a year and a half, and every time I listen to this I start to cry. She lives on through your music, Rayland. Thank you.

My cat ran away and I think about him constantly....literally every second of every day. I feel like this song is about him, his new journey, and finding his own way. He is a vagabond now, and all his paths are filled with uncertainty. He definitely left me lonely but I only wish for his happiness.... for his safety....and mostly, that he meets his girl with Yellow Eyes!

@@brunogomes984 what’s your point? Language is fluid and gate keeping is pointless. Is it perfect in the way we teach it? No. Can we understand what he’s saying? Yes. That’s all that matters. Everything else is polish.
Caught him before he took the Spirit Lake stage at Hulaween a few years back. Simply yelled his name once to say “Hey dude!” and before he got on stage he came over to shake my hand and hit me back with a “What’s shaking man?!”. Appreciated that moment tons. Love this guy.
This song's lyrics scarily describe a dark period in my life in darker ways than you may imagine. When I first heard it then, you can guessI was crying like crazy. Thinking back now, I just wish I could thank Rayland personally. His ability to bring raw emotion from my eyeholes and smushbrain surpasses many musicians.
Saw Rayland in Cleveland, in February, and he was amazing. I was a vocalist in area bands late sixties, early seventies, and I love original, thoughtful and intelligent music and I thank a coworker for turning me on to Rayland. I love to harmonize with him. That 3 part harmony is fun! Thanks Rayland. You are surprisingly psychedelic live, by the way.
Love what you have going on! Amazing talent! I picked up a copy of "Imaginary Man" at one of your shows, and it remains in my car, and is played often! Thank you, Sir!
Saw Rayland a few years back. Amazing set and then he came and hung with us fans after the show. Super nice guy, taking pictures, signing things and chatting for hours. A true gentleman and good guy in the music world!
I was at a Caamp concert and this played between sets. I was singing it and thought it was some older song that everyone knew. I was the only one singing it though. Didn't even know where I heard it. I think it plays at work. So great and glad I found Rayland in a round about way.
In my opinion this is the kind of music that deserves a grammy
Rarely do you find a song this good that is 7 years old… how in gods name did this fall through the cracks? It is brilliant
I know. I just found videos of him playing Willys Song from back when I was in highschool 2010/2011. I was like wtf...
Thru the cracks by king tuff is also an amazing song coincidentally
Nah, my good fellow, you just weren't paying any attention.

Heard it first in B&N as well just now. Amazing song!
Why is it most often that that the most beautiful music is overlooked and underappreciated by most
That feels like a blessing in disguise because not all lot of people have this heard. So now it's just a little part of our heart.
Sadly, most people don't have a taste. They are dictated by what the trending pages show.

Sunday morning I forgot
What it's like to lose a friend
Yesterday
How it seems so far away
And I've said all I can say
Now it's time I get to goin'
Now it's time I get to find my own way
And I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
Now I'm on the road
Knowing not which way to go
Is it yes or is it no?
I don't really care
For the golden sun
Has washed me away and I've become
Just another vagabond holding my head
Now it's time I get to goin'
Now it's time I get to find my own way
And I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
All in all it's a beautiful day
And I wake up all alone
I cannot help but run away
Now I'm afraid
That it's all in my head
Don't you know
That it's all in your head?
So you roll the dice
Melt the fire
Burn the ice
Find the girl with yellow eyes
And go and break her heart
See that nothing changes
And I know not what I've become
A prisoner to everyone I've loved from the start
Now it's time I get to goin'
Now it's time I get to find my own way
And I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
I'll leave you lonely
Thank you! 🙏🏻
