When Hugh Jackman becomes too old to play Wolverine, he will play old Wolverine. That shit's gonna be epic
Old Man Logan movie would be the best thing ever
Jackman can *never* stop being Wolverine. Ever.
NinjaOnion
I'd rather have Clint Eastwood play the OML version of Wolverine.
Welp, now we are getting one lol
Kosťa Kuklin OMG you predicted Logan
"If you don't know who wolverines let me explain it, ya know he is wolverine the x-men character" what a great explanation
He wasn't done u nincompoop
I will always have great admiration how committed Hugh Jackman has been for 14 years to playing wolverine.
He himself has stated this is not even commitment any more. He just likes the character so much he can't let go. It's not like a job to him, it's just having fun doing his craft.
Alexander Angelus Either way I like that he cares.
Alexander Angelus There is serious commitment even though he is doing it because he loves the character and the fans. Nobody at his age would subject themselves to his insane 4000 calorie steamed vegetable, boiled chicken breast, egg white, steamed fish, and brown rice diet and work-out 3 intense hours in the gym every day and subject themselves to intermittent fasting and dehydration techniques to obtain the look of the character, if they were not incredibly committed.
hopefully thatll be RDJ as Iron Man
RDJ is going to be Iron man/ Tony Star for as long as he's young enough to play him.
Just worth mentioning: if Logan lost his healing mutation he would die of adamantium poisoning. This almost happened in the comics.
+Lightning Comet
How can you get poisoned by an indestructible metal?
This was a story arc in the comics. Dont ask me. :-)
+Schwarzer Ritter I assume because it contaminates the blood stream or something.
Batman of the Apocalypse
But it is indestructible, it can't get into the bloodstream.
+Batman of the Apocalypse How does that work? he is invincible due to his healing factor. he would not die - just get sick at worst
I just watched the extended cut of the wolverine... It's AWESOME/AWESOMETACULAR
The fact that there's so much mature content (a lot of blood and course language) really shows what it's like to read a wolverine comic
dude i saw it too the ninja fight is AWESOME
The extended cut is the only one i have seen, was amazing. Wolverine doesn't give a fuck... when he says fuck
STOP IT YOU'RE MAKING ME JEALOUS NOW I GOTTA WATCH DREDD!!!!
You know what's pretty strange, in the movie Harada and Mariko had a thing but in the comics they were half brother and sister. Pretty disgusting when your sticking to the comics.
I hate bone claws! Finally someone else agrees with me.
Trust me everyone does it to.
LyricalXilence I also agree.
+LyricalXilence I totally agree with you guys I hate bone claws. Adamantuim claws are better. I hope in X-Men: Apocalypse he has adamantuim claws. Damn that movie has a lot to live up especially having to live up to X-Men: Days of Future Past!!!
+Jacob Duran he has in the trailer :)
mirko zaja Ya I know I am glad he has adamantuim claws!!! :)
I was expecting The Wolverine to be a piece of shit just like X-men Origins: Wolverine, BUT... It actually was way better than I expected, and that's why I actually liked it. I think the same happened to Jeremy.
It was pretty solid, and I can see The Wolverine 2 being even better.
exept there might not be as much wolverine cuz of dofp time changing
One of the most underrated movies ever IMO. Wolverine is my favorite super hero and Hugh Jackman fucking nails the shit out of him. Love this movie.
I think Apocalypse was pretty underrated!
Totally agree, I freaking love this movie
U aint kiddin, i fucking wait for the next James Mangold directed Wolverine movie.
Right?! I was freaking shocked as hell..when I walked out of the theater thinking how could the critics wham the movie like this?! They really hurt the movie's reputations at the start..But as good as the movie is..It pushed the critics away and was great at the box office!~ :)
Me too..It's going to be rated R so we can finally get the Wolverine character! but..it's going to be the last Hugh Jackman movie..Just hope he changes his mind because of the film's success..I hardly doubt it though..
Actually Jeremy your line on "I can't move" thing sorta happens in the movie. Because Logan's healing factor is comprised, he can't recover from muscle fatigue as quickly (despite having super strength). Notice how he limps a lot more in the movie and is out of breath more frequently. That's Logan trying to move while carrying an adamantium skeleton while lacking muscle fiber repair.
Holy shit didn't realize he was using table knives...
Hmm wow...🤔
you know what wolverine has?
claaaaaaaaaaws!
Butttttttter knives
.......how does that feel without regeneration, bud?
Funny watching this now in 2016 knowing hugh jackmen is leaving the role
The dude who will replace him as a lot on his hand no pun intended!
no, in a interview he was asked that and said no hes done for good
funny reading this now in 2024 since Hugh Jackman is returning to play Wolverine
Why all the hate on X men Origins: Wolverine? I enjoyed it. Especially the guy who played his brother Victor
I agree it was bad ass I honestly thought the new one wqs boring and was long so im on your side
proctor1995 If it wasn't for their horrible excuse of Deadpool, I would have liked it. I even really liked their portrayal of Wade Wilson before he became Deadpool. If they had kept Ryan Reynolds throughout the movie as Wade Wilson and never had him turned into whatever the fuck that thing was, I would like it. Deadpool is such a fan favorite from the comics though, that what they did with him is single handedly, in my mind, the thing that ruined the entire movie.
True I definitely agree dude
I liked the movie as well. I thought the cast was pretty good too. And even though I hated what they did to deadpool, the fight was really cool
+proctor1995 Schreiber Owned that roll. Definitely made the film better with him as Sabertooth
Bone claws are pretty badass. Also with no adamantium he's a lot faster and lighter on his feet and isn't magnetos bitch. I wish that they showed the advantages in x men origins and in dofp.
***** yeah you're right, forgot about that
+Con O'Neill it's kind of funny to see this after watching magneto nearly effortlessly defeat wolverine in Days of Future Past.
WafflingMean44 yh lol
I agree about the bone claws, I hope he gets adamantium claws back in the next movie
Wow and ten years after he's wolverine still...wow!
Hugh Jackman can never be to old to play Wolverine. Even in his 60's he might as well play the Old Man Logan storyline.

Jeremy 616 Old comments but what about Days of Future past?
@@slmtiger4823 Awesometacular, definitely
The extended cut is a lot better.
There's a extended cut?
You weren't saying that on the chopping block.
Predictability aside... yeah it was predictable at points.... it was a very cool movie. It had great action sequences, great character and plot development, and an awesome premise. A lot better than the last two entries.
This is the best wolverine movie and it's more better the uncut version which has more scene that didn't get put on the theaters and it was show in trailers but it wasn't in the theaters and it has little more blood
This comment didn't aged well. We all know Logan is the best Wolverine movie
@@theheroinfatherrthe wolverine is still great imo
@@MATDMixes I know. but Logan (2017) is just better in every way
@@theheroinfatherr yeah agree!
Outside of what they did to Deadpool (and yes, it was REALLY bad), I really enjoyed X- Men Origins: Wolverine. I really don't get all the hate for it.
I totally agree with you man; people just overplay things on the internet; was it a great movie, no, but, was it a decently good movie, yes; I have watched it a couple times and enjoyed each attempt.
Weapon-X not deadpool
luigikiller1000
They fucked them both up. But like the guy said- I liked it quite a bit. It was a good and fun film. It has shortcomings and it fucked around with some characters in really insane ways but it doesn't deserve the hate it's getting, at least to me.
It receives so much hate because a) Deadpool's treatment...simply unforgiveable and b) it isn't even really Wolverine's movie per se. By the last act, it literally turns into a ridiculous showcase of a bunch of mutants that really didn't matter in the overall plot. And the way the origin was handled for Wolverine (don't even get me started with that fake murder and "Adamantium bullet" bs) was simply atrocious.
OH i'm pretty sure that movie sucks for many reasons, not only because of that deadpool. It sucks in everything. That story is laughable, the scene of the adamantiun injection was a joke, there were no slaughter when he scaped. The effects were awful, just look at the shitty CGI claws in that movie. The plot and story is lame. That gambit was pretty bad and the story of Blob too (an eating disorder? really?) Maverick/Agent Zero was awful as well. Not one single blood drop in the movie, not one. I mean, COMMON! Harry Potter is PG13 and i've seen more blood on that movies, and we're talking about Wolverine. Seriously, it was a joke, a movie i pretend it never existed. Unnecesary characters in a standalone movie and the origins of the great Wolverine was a joke. The only good think was Liev Schreiber's acting, NOT THE CHARACTER, but the performance.
The Wolverine is 1000000 times better than origins.
I HATE bone claws...
Naw I sorta agree
J.J. is Wolverine incarnate. 7 years later and he hasn't aged at all.
Will someone please tell me what was so fucking bad about Origins... I really enjoyed it
7 years earlier... It was just a typical mindless blockbuster. No soul or heart...
@@Ghost7065 this one did? I can't understand why ppl think this is better. You can like it but they seem to think objectively this one's good and the other bad. The movie has no point. He needs a new motivation but as soon as he gets confronted by an adventure he just takes it, and by the end his motivation is to continue to be a fighter as he always was without nothing showing him why. Nothing changed. And the whole film deals with the grand-daughter inheriting the company but the dude was still alive? Until he isn't and that's it. No real threat, no real stakes bc even if he could die, he actually wanted to so... The other one tried to build his character, even if it didn't matter bc he forgets, at least it tells a story. This one is just tone-deaf
@@NinaSelene This film just did it better. Not saying it was amazing cause it wasn't but at least it added something more to Wolverine's Character. Made him more gritty eventually leading up the the Grittier version we got in Logan.
Origins was just dumb all around. I mean I have fun watching it but it isn't a good film by any means.
Those claw effects you have are more convincing than the ones in X Men Origins.
I just realized something. Even when Hugh Jackman is too old to be Wolverine he still won't be too old, they could easily make an Old Man Logan movie in 10 or 15 years, hell they could probably make more than one with that character. If they do it would kinda be the coolest fucking thing ever.
*****
no fucking way really? Let's hope Fox doesn't sell out.
Also Fox needs better producers. Seriously, it's like they got a bunch of idiot college interns to just do whatever the hell they wanted to do in the producers office.
***** Or maybe the Wolverine 3 movie has DAKEN?!!!
They can't make an old man wolverine movie because wolverine doesn't age past his prime. You do know by the time this movie was made he was at least in his 170s.
James Muise
Did you watch Days of Future Past? He was clearly aged by around 200 years old. He had gray hairs by the 2010s or 2020s.
Lucy Logan wait daken? Really?
In the film The Wolverine, we explore the philosophical aspects of existentialism and the concept of immortality. This paper will attempt to see how each character’s approach to immortality affects his or hers actions in the film.
First and foremost we encounter the character Logan, played by Hugh Jackman. His healing factor essentially allows him to outlive all his contemporaries. As a result, he has to suffer innumerable losses of his loved ones. The most recent loss is of Jean Grey, whose memory continues to haunt him during his dreams. Even though some like his colleague turned Yashida view this immortality as a curse, Wolverine eventually channels this healing factor into something good as he uses it to save his friends from countless dangers which would destroy an ordinary person. In the end, when Logan removes the parasite from his body that is draining his healing factor he finally accepts his powers and the responsibilities that come along with it.
The character Viper represents Lady Death as symbolized in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s the Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Her scheme of manipulating Yashida and attempting to poison and destroy Wolverine’s immortality and healing power are the main antagonist forces in the movie.
Another character, Yashida, sees immortality in a different approach. He is saved in Nagasaki by Logan and witnesses the Wolverine’s amazing healing factors. As a result, he spends his entire life obsessing about how to obtain this power. When he is ravaged from leukemia near the end of his life, he designs a scheme with the aid of a villain named Viper to steal Wolverine’s healing ability. Ironically, as mentioned above, Yashida claims immortality as a curse yet wishes to steal Wolverine’s immortality.
It can be said that a parent lives through his children and their legacy and unfulfilled dreams can be accomplished through future generations.
Hugh Jackman was not the first choice to play Wolverine in the original X-Men. Dougray Scott was originally signed for the role. He was the bad guy in Mission Impossible 2 and when that movie went over schedule he had to bow out of X-Men and finish filming MI2 and the rest is history.
I think Dougary Scott is a great actor, but DAMN! he would not have made a good wolverine
+Michael William Dougray Scott is an ok actor but it's a good thing Hugh Jackman got the role he is awesome and play Wolverine greatly :)
I thought the movie was pointless, forgettable and kinda redundant though it wasn't bad or great either, plus they failed to use the Silver Samurai correctly and make him a great live action movie character.
saxyrep1 I know right, it's not as if the lightsaber effect is anything new, plus why not have a guy with sword skills? Summer action flick, but I wouldn't consider it great.
Yup, everything you said was spot on.
Besides, to be quite honest by the time the movie came out (I dunno if you share my opinion) but I'd already grown tired of Wolverine in a stand-alone flick, particularly after the infamous mess Origin was.
There are so many great mutants who'd deserve to be in the spotlight and have not even been considered by Marvel yet... That's a shame!
saxyrep1
Too bad they will not have Cyber in a Wolverine movie, he was an awesome villain, not to mention an improvement over Deadpool because you can't decapitate him due to his entire body covered in Adamantium, plus he is stronger than Sabretooth and has a psionic sensing ability that can locate you many miles away. But then again, movie makers aren't interested in such character.
Yeah, it would be much more entertaining to have the story arc of some of Wolverine's enemies develloped.
Plus, they make some very complex and compelling characters to be portrayed on the silver screen. It's a long shot and I'm pretty sure this is not about to happen but, there still is hope though, now that we know Marvel or actually Sony has considered adapting the "Sinister Six" story and DC has actually started the production of the Suicide Squad.
So, who knows, maybe one day...
I didn't really like it, the ending was horribly stupid. I'm surprised at Jeremy for not catching this and mentioning this. I don't want to spoil it, but FUCK! the ending was horrible.
yyes lord that shit bad
Everyone who is complaining about how slow the movie is needs to understand that this movie wasn't made to be an fast-paced action movie. It's more of a "Character" movie that dwells into the character's past. Now I will say that there is some slow scenes but that is so you can hear and understand and let your brain process what was just said instead of just having the scenes rushed along so they can get to the action scenes. The entire film itself is not slow. I loved the movie. This movie along with Logan has everything you could ever want in a Wolverine movie. this is the second of a trilogy with Logan being the final installment. Orgins starts off the trilogy but I personally don't count Orgins in the Wolverine trilogy. the story starts with The Wolverine and ends with Logan.
The Wolverine Trilogy
X-Men Origins Wolverine: Dogshit
The Wolverine: Buy it on Blu-Ray
LOGAN: Awesometacular
God I love R rated Wolverine, which it should've been in the first place, with better scripit though.
REALLY hope they do another one,and do it right for Hugh Jackman's sake.
And... They are making one.
Joanna 江 the extended cut is rated r
omg
i don't get why you guys hated xmen origins. i really enjoyed it. maybe you guys hated how deadpool looked, trust me i did too. but that doesn't change the fact that the movie was really enjoyable. this one was also great.
The wolverine is 10000 times better than Origins.
I'd say it's just a good time no alchol required.
It's an improvment over Origins and X-Men 3, but it's nothing like First Class, it's more of a trailer for Days of Future Past, really...
I have always liked the punch you do at the end, i just thought it would be funny if you used wolverine claws to slash the camera or something. IDK just something different.
But anyway, hes done a crossover with black nerd and i like him pretty well but I was more hoping for him to be in a nostalgia critic review, maybe even angry joe. They just kinda seem like they could make a entertaining, funny, and smart review together.
Woah, hold on there, cowboy, before you write the rest of your fan fiction and splooge fanboy juices all over the place.
Watzit Tooya is there a middle finger emoticon in existence?
Watzit Tooya That may just be one of the most messed up things ive ever heard.
Inb4 "anyone here from his Logan review?"
I just watched this movie and it was so boring. I still don't get why everyone loves it so much
I didn't like it so much either. Definitely better than Origins, though. For me, it was not even half as good as First Class.
I liked Origins a lot more than this one. The only really bad thing about Origins was what they did to Deadpool and when they fucked up the timeline even more by making Charles bald and walking
THANK YOU, this is a cliche movie with cliche villains and a cliche love interest. Worst movie in the X-men universe by a long-shot.
it wasn't terrible but it was slow but I liked it
+KaKenZ i wouldnt say worst considering origins. i likd how this movie shows us more of logans pysche and how hes just done with people. this movie being cliche is true but its not bad. like origins is just bad and dumb
Thank you for appreciating source material. It's always good when movies are inspired by the very thing they are adapting and not go 100% in their own route.
I could not stop watching his unbuttoned collar. I was screaming in my head "BUTTON IT! BUTTON THE JACKET!!"
don't cry Jeremy at least not until after his last movie
X-Men Origins was I would say sub-par. It would have been good had they not done that stupid Deadpool shit. My God that was just unforgivable. That's one of the reasons why I hated that movie. The Wolverine I say was pretty good. Not amazing I mean some of the action sequences were predictable and the love story was meh ok but the plot was good I mean really the last X-Men movie that was actually good was X-Men First Class so I'm glad that they made a decent Wolverine movie.
Yeah, I remember that too. I agree w/you that they needed to explain how the nanobot suppressed his healing. It seems to me that from a comics perspective, that Logan would have expelled or shot down the 'bot on his own without drastic measures as in the movie. Must be hard to pop those claws if every time you do, six deep cuts open up. I think I remember he says something in the comics like it does hurt, or he still feels the claws when they extend even w/the healing factor.
The ending was dumb. Just when you thought you were watching a matured X-men movie, they throw in the Samurai/Adamantium version of the Destroyer from Thor. Fire the guy who thought that stupid shit was a good idea.
I completely agree. The movie was fantastic until that cgi boss fight at the end.
Nah I didn’t mind it
Apparently I'm the minority here but I thought the first Wolverine movie was better. This ones more action packed but the plot/ending was stupid.
X Men Origins is the worst I can't believe people like it
I enjoyed origins but I like the wolverine more
I actually think the movie was mediocre.
+Samuel Rondón Acevedo (Samkiud) thought it was pretty good, the extended/unrated cut definitely makes the movie a whole lot better
+Samuel Rondón Acevedo (Samkiud) lol it was mediocre
at best
It was worse than mediocre. It is terrible
I love how Hugh Jackman is stilling playing Wolverine, never heard of someone so happy to play a superhero, and he's so good too!
maybe I'm crazy but I actually liked x-men origin more.. I don't know why but I found it more enjoyable to watch than the wolverine.. but don't get me wrong both movie has its sins.. its deadpool in origin.. and the silver samurai on the wolverine..
liked the movie......how about a review of the video game they made of the first movie......that was way more badass than the movie itself
Stefan Hackelberg I agree, the video game was awesome.
I actually like his bone claws. They look pretty vicious.
9/10 dont know why cant give t a ten i think its because of the final / ending / last act of the film. but pretty amazing still, oh you gotta watch the r rated version or something like that though.
extra: has 1 post credits, a really good one ! ties into xmen last stand (so you havent watched than one, it wont hit as much)
Can somebody explain why X-Men Origins was so bad? I liked it tbh. I thought it was rad xD
Same! Apart from fucking up deadpool, it was pretty awesome. We met a whole cast of new characters with badass powers. The fight scenes were amazing and the story was pretty good. It didn't make sense as a prequel because of stuff like sabretooth and striker but that didn't matter.
Con O'Neill Honestly i even thought Deadpool was cool in the movie (until they deformed him. then he was just werid). but yea i had a generally good time with it. Guilty pleasure movie i guess xD
Sir Muffinz yeah xD
Con O'Neill They finally made Sabretooth talk more than a few lines, and had him more in character (psychotic dialogue, carving the table), perhaps the big disappointment was the adamantium bullets. Otherwise they got closer to how durable and tough Wolverine is in comics. I mean, how many times has Wolverine fallen off tall buildings in comics? Or gotten knocked out by a regular bullet to his adamantium skull like in X2? Or how about pick a fight with something big, like two jeeps and a Cobra helicopter? Origins had that.
Sir Muffinz actually, I realized at the end that they have a Deadpool with a bald, scarred, face (why he wears a mask), mouth open, and still alive despite decapitation (also cool). All he needs is removal of the katana blades from his arm. He is pretty much Deadpool by the post-credits scene.
The Wolverine was awful fight scenes were bad and half the movie was Logan fighting humans.
Awful fight scenes? What "Wolverine" movie did you see? Not the one I saw!
Yep same film different mind set. chose logic and not my love of Wolverine to judge the film.
Nah the fight scenes where slow and the story was lacking.
***** Well, that's what the unrated version is for, even though I haven't seen it yet, but I REALLY want to.
General Zod
Well people don't get sliced apart like in the game, but it is alot more bloody.
Who else is here after the Logan review?
0:06: better claws than xmen Origins.
I usually agree with your reviews Jeremy but I thought this movie was CRAPPY. The only good part was the train scene, the story was cheesy and the ending was predictable. You must have been drunk or high watching this movie. I enjoyed the other Wolverine movie much more than this one.
Viper was an awful character imo.
I soooo prefered Wolverine Originins... i tough this movie was sooo dragging. It takes like until 50 mins to get an action scene... i didn't like the vilain, i didn't like the bone claws like you, the whole "cure" well he could had just took it in X3 duh... no seriously this movie was a random movie and they inserted wolverine in it... it had nothing to do with either Wolverine or xmen in general.
I watched The Wolverine twice now and loved it! I didn't understand everything at first, but when I watched it through the first time I finally realized everything did make sense. After that it was a lot easier to watch and I love how they went more into Wolverine's emotional turmoil and inner struggle rather than lightly touching in it like I thought they would.
And the fights were solidly done for the most part, especially the fight on the train. It was also interesting to see Wolverine cope without his healing ability to make the fights too easy.
And I think he'll get his metal claws back, I was always confident int hat and when I heard that Days of Future Past will involve time travel I felt that by the end of it he will have his metal claws back through a time paradox or something. I won't make a fuss if he doesn't but that's what I think will happen and hope shall happen.
All in all I would give this movie a solid 8.5/10. It's the kind of movie that puts the X Men films back on track and doesn't try hard to surpass things like the Avengers of ASM, but simply surpasses its predecessor films. Once you fully understand everything about it then it actually comes together rather well. The only thing I regret was borrowing instead of buying the DVD.
I actually liked Wolverine Origins better
movie was not that good
It was awful, deserves way more hate then X-Men Origins in my opinion, at least that one had some originality, and not the blandest of bland characters.
KaKenZ Have you seen Origins? That movie is god awful, just a terrible, terrible movie that should've never been made like it was. At least the Wolverines was actually watchable.
Yea I did, and it is god damn good in some parts, but of course it is terrible. That being said, it was a creative project, they didn't like hire a generic love interest, and cast a generic old bad guy. And comparatively it made a lot more sense,
Yes it was
X Men Origins Wolverine was terrible and The Wolverine was awful too. I dont understand why people think this movie is good. It was predictable as hell, the characters were unlikable, the action scenes were so outrageous I couldnt even suspend my disbelief for them... And honestly, Marvel hasnt made a good movie since the first Iron Man.
The Avengers? That was good.
Christopher Jhagroo also captain america:the winter solider :)
Suzie Digby yes that as well
Despite Origins Wolverine wasn't a good movie it was a really a great action film
It's not even Marvel Studios.
X-men two and the comics get more into it. Wolverine lost nearly all of his memory, but not everything. I will admit it's a little odd he remembers meeting one guy in a well, but can't remember that Sabertooth is his brother. Then again being attacked with a nuclear weapon probably brings in some creepy memories.
All I can say is we better get Sabertooth in Days of Futures Past as well as Gambit.
Smh u actually like this movie
U don’t? U must be dumb then
i actually kinda liked x men origins story
it had bad cgi and faults, but it was still enjoyable to me
The wolverine, to me, was just really boring. The story was predictable, and the villian kinda seemed like an annoying bitch, rather than an evil mastermind. and, the only good fight scene was the train fight, which was pretty freaking cool
This movie was a-awesome
I like how in Origins he gets pumped full of adamantium, and then jumps off a waterfall into a river and somehow can swim.
i liked origins more than this
***** I dont know the comics, I watched Origins as an action movie and thats what I got
Aizawa C you like that shit that made deadpool an abomination? I don't have any faith in humanity anymore
as I said, I dont know the comics. I dont care at all about Deadpool and I didnt even knew him when I watched the movie.
ok... so you are saying that ou watched the movie and liked before you knew what it did to the characters, fair play don't lame you, but know you know that it is an abomination and you STILL like it? you have ass cancer, my friend
Emma Beckwith you can fanboy somewhere else. I know its bad when they make something else than in the original comics, but I dont see Origins as canon anyway, just an action movie.
I liked the last fight in the movie, because the badguy had all of the powers which was cool. I agree that it was stupid to call him Deadpool for no reason, but I dont care. Also in the end of the movie you can see Prof X. standing, so in that time, he could walk, but in Xmen First Class (which is my favorite Xmen movie)
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!
He looses his ability to walk in the end, but he is much younger there than in origins, which means the Xmen people dont care about Origins too.
It was just an action movie man, chilling with friends, huge explosions, cgi and stuff.
i fell asleep during this move :D
I thought it was really boring. Even the action scenes were boring.
Oyrish Clover Dude, what the fuck.
finally saw this movie been putting it off and yep I agree was a big YAWN fest. Wolverine is my favourite comic book hero but man they made this movie so dull and boring. Even the action sequences are ZZZZZ
Couldn't agree more with you buddy. I literally yawned through the whole thing as Josh Dugan said. The only exciting part of the movie for me was the end credits scene.
It may be boring, but it's better than Origins.
MrZachtheKingsfan You're right, it is better but that's not saying much either. Origins was a really awful movie.
This is my second favorite x men movie after Logan.
No one likes Bone Claws.
I don't like it either, but it does make sense. It also makes Wolverine less OP.
What?!? I llllooooovvvvvveeeee the bone claws! They were awesome in x-men days of future past!
I do, not as much as the Adamantium claws, but I like that he always had claws
mrprotoman145 also there was apparently a story when they took away wolverine's adamantium and his healing factor was boosted because the adamantium was poisoning gim
awful , just awful
Wrong
I thought Origins was loads better.
+Klemen Kekec Shut the fuck up
Doctor Black Uhhh. Alright.
+Klemen Kekec Ara you kidding me,cause i ain't laughing, bub.
+Joanna 江 did you just call me, Blob?
Victorian Hipster No.No I didn't.
"He's 1:49 at his lowest low" he said because Logan didn't exist.
Unpopular Opinion: The Wolverine > X-Men Days of Future Past
I think I missed the part with the hot girls??
weren't that hot
I think he mainly meant Viper
Jeremy u trippin that movie was awful
TOINE VIDZ well thats just like your opinion man
I know that Logan is by far the best Wolverine movie but I still think this one is really solid and deserves to be remembered too
definitely. It's a very complimentary to Logan's story in Logan
Yeah, but at the end of X2, he started to remember more about his past after his encounter with Stryker. Its possible that years after that confrontation, he started to remember more about his past.
One gripe about the movie that nobody ever thinks of: If Wolverine doesn't heal, then why aren't there open cuts on his knuckles after he pulls them out?
It was pretty fun. I've got to say, I've never been happy to see those bone claws until this movie.
I CANNOT believe this movie was not Rated R. It was so amazing though. So amazing. Amazing
The reason he can truck through with an adamantium skeleton even without his regenerative powers, is because one of his mutant powers is enhance strength which helps him walk with the metal skeleton
My take is this: I was way more excited that Yukio was in it. Her being in the movie made the movie for me and I loved it. If you don't know who Yukio is or was in the movie, the kitchen has many knives.
The reason Wolverine's adamantium didnt weigh him down without his powers was because his powers never held it up to begin with. He needed his powers just so he would survive the process of getting the molten metal put into his body, but once it cooled onto his skeleton he was okay. His naturally-built muscles were used to accommodating for his adamantium bones so once his healing was gone they had no problem holding him up
I was thinking the same thing. I just saw this movie yesterday. My explanation: Th old man/soldier remembers him. Also wolverine still has 'fragments' of his memory, just not a complete picture. He also had flashbacks in dreams like the subconscious memory. in X2 I remember wolv recognizing striker and was able to remember his name then. For the old man, he had a file on wolv. he knew about the adamantium after wolv was with the X-Men.
i loved viper, wish she had more movie time though
i agree with you. i hate the bone claws. the reason they gave him the adamantium was to make him a more powerful soldier, thus they added some weapons; then they improved the weapons with Lady Deathstrike ("i thought you were one of a kind Wolverine... I was wrong"), so why suddenly he had them all along? I hate the Origins comicbook of Wolverine (2002) because it just doesn't make sense.
The extended cut makes this movie a lot better, especially with the longer Wolverine vs Ninja's sequence near the end.
Romance - Well that's tricky, because I would argue that she was able to get under his skin and therefore give him a reason to live outside of him being in denial about jean.
Action - She stuck that machine by his heart which did not get rid of his powers, but slowed it immensely. Also Wolverine has been in extreme pain for over 100s and 100s of years so his pain threshold along with his indestructible bones kept him from keeling over.
This is basically a "It looks cool in the move so lets do it." thing. Based on everything in the comics, Adamantium once hardened is pretty much indestructible, even by something made of adamantium or similarly invincible metal (Uru (Thor's Hammer), Adamantite (Hercule's Mace)) They did a test in the Avengers where Thor, one of the physically strongest beings in the Marvel Universe, hurled his hammer at a tube
"You told me you're just come say goodbye, sayanora!"
No, he went through the Weapon X program like Wolverine did. As a result he got his regeneration factor that ended up better than Wolverines.
It also threw his cancer into overdrive and disfigured him, hence the full body suit. It's also thought that it made his psychosis worse thanks to the regeneration of brain cells (Hence the psychic immunity).
- over three brilliant Frank Miller pages of the two of them going at it - the old man beats the shit out of him. That kendo match is the seminal moment of the story, because it reveals Wolverine as vulnerable, even with his claws and his healing power. It sets up the final fight, in which Wolverine kills Shingen, the father of the woman he loves, and Mariko does something unexpected, which is that she forgives him. She loves him anyway. (this is from the writer of the book, Chris Claremont)
I remember first seeing in early 2013 that this movie was upcoming..it surprised me cuz it seemed so many people really disliked Origins(which wasn't near as bad imo it was better than Last Stand though it wasn't good either though) and it really didn't make much like most X-Men it had a strong opening weekend and flamed out quick but when I saw James Mangold was directing and it was based on the Japanese storyline i immediately got hype for it.. especially with James Mangold who still for some reason isn't well known when every movie he's done and has been either Good or Great even Kate and Leopold was solid and I'm not big on romance movies but even after Logan and Ford vs Ferrari i never hear his name mentioned by anybody..maybe Indy 5 will change that cuz he's most def one of those directors where i see his name and say "ooh" and he deserves much more recognition... Hugh Jackman is great as always as Logan and i think i like this one more than Logan or if i don't then it's not far behind Logan..I'm glad they gave Logan another change after Origins cuz this movie is dope..to borrow the spill crews rating system it's a Full Price of a film for me
It had more character depth and better dialogue than you'd expect from a comic movie. The ending wasn't that great but didn't hate it either. I grew up with the Claremont/Miller comic and was happy to see Yukio in there. Glad you liked it. Too many haters out there just cause they screwed up Deadpool in "Origins".
Well I might be wrong, but I thought he sucked out the Adamantium (which is why he cut off his claws) and used it to live for ever. Thats why Wolverine was stuck with Bone Claws at the end.
made of adamantium with everything he had. It put a small, almost unperceived dent in the tube, that was it. So, by comics standards, the Samuri's sword and Wolverines claws shouldn't have been able to cut through each other, even when super-heated. But as its been noted, the films often don't follow cannon
