Mooie film, toch nog een vraag. Zodra de grens gepasserd wordt staan er Nederlandse seinen, terwijl in de loc de PZB actief blijft. Hoe gaat dat in z'n werk. Zelf diverse keren met de SSN, als passagier, meegereden en in Venlo moet gestopt worden om o.a. de PZB te activeren en de ATB uit te schakelen. Of omgekeerd als je naar Nederland rijdt. Leuk om het traject vanuit de cabine te zien, ik ken het alleen vanuit de trein.
emplacement Venlo is geheel voorzien van zowel ATB als PZB. als je vanuit Nederland naar Duitsland rijdt, krijg je de transitie zo'n beetje in de eerste wissels na vertrek. de andere kant op is de transitie pas als je al richting de brug rijdt. eigenlijk komt het maar zeer zelden voor, dat je "glijdend" door Venlo kan rijden, dus meestal wordt er bij stilstand van systeem gewisseld.
@@TrainCabrides i dont know germany agreed to double track it, if netherlands increased the capacity between venlo and rotterdam. Which the netherlands is doing, by building an extra exit from the betuwelijn, and increasing the capacity den bosch-eindhoven. tough judging by the betuwelijn, where the dutch finished in 2007 and germany will finish her part in 2027, it will be roughly 2050 when the tracks are finally doubled.
@@melaniedrogr951seeing more and more noise barriers being build (so close to the tracks) it doesn't look like the Germans will put in that double track. And even if they do. Viersen Güterbahnhof has limited space only and between Rheydt Hbf and Odenkirchen is also still one track only.
@@lex260775 well they signed a treaty with the dutch to do so. And they also promised the belgians to double the tracks, if they connected antwerpen to venlo trough the iron rhine 2.0. Now for sure germany could build a second railway between viersen and venlo instead, but they have the obligation to increase capacity now.

I recon it will never be double track... noice reduction walls are placed so close to the tracks on several spots, no extra track can be added there.
