Why do some words end with -tia and others -a in passive voice?
2 года назад+2
There are a lot of different passive endings, there are some rules, but largely it's a matter of learning and remembering which verbs take which endings, as the rules don't always apply. In this lesson here there are tools for looking up passive verb endings, and an overview of what endings exist: ruclips.net/video/ChPJsSVYLXY/видео.html
Over time you'll come across many kumahi (verbs) and you'll begin to recognise and remember passively which ending 'belongs' to which words. You might recognise them from reading, hearing, and/or watching too.
