- I do like to visit these areas when it is calm dry and not windy, when its like this you can hear the trains coming from a long way off.

Oh yes I do try and get some extras on the video.
Lovely countryside and some nice filming too.
Plus a nice cafe up the canal.
One of my best videos was taken at Lapworth station of Clun Castle hauling a Shakespeare Express heading north. The wind was coming from the south and I could hear it for a fair few minutes before it honed into view, hissing and spitting as it worked hard to gather speed...same with the 68's. Great post Mike...

It was nice for a very short visit.
Great viewing Mike. Almost home sick, and I'm not a million miles away! Had a friend who lived in a bungalow where the new houses are. He could watch the yard shunt almost without getting out of bed!! 😀😀
Its amazing looking back at the way our railways were when so many station had siding which would dropped off the coal for people. Thank you Robert for your comment. Mike.

Can't beat it Ben, years ago the best place to here class 37s coming was the West Highlands, I know Warwickshire is not the same but Its the best for me at the moment..
