Thanks, this gave me a few helpful ideas! I never want markers or regions without names, so I changed my shortcuts to M for insert marker and edit, and R for insert region and edit. (R was toggle repeat, which I do so rarely I'd never remember and use the shortcut.) I also highly recommend people install the SWS extension and use auto color for track and region names, really handy! I just select part of the song, press R and type Intro, and I have a blue region. Select the next few measures, R, type Verse, and it's green.
Kenny! I've noticed that if I have different tempos in certain regions and I move the region, the tempo does not move with the region. Or if I insert a new region in between some the tempo map is thrown off and doesn't maintain the original tempo map
Reaper is so good. Thanks for this. Although, double clicking regions in the marker region manager does not zoom to fill the screen for me. Perhaps my fiddling with action shortcuts has changed this behaviours somehow.
Hey Kenny, this was awesome as usual. and it might help me with an issue i've been having as I don't think I quite understood the difference btwn the 2. example. 5 chapter audio book. i place markers at the chapters titles. when i edit, the markers stay, but no longer line up. if i use regions for the chapters instead, will this solve the issue?
Why is it when you have 11 or more markers it doesnt skip ? I understand pressing 1-9 works logically... and if you do 10 it works as wel but why not 11+ ?
Dear Kenny, thank you very much for explaining everything so well detailed. Normally I have no questions, but concerning this episode I was wondering how to jump to markers or regions with a azerty keyboard...?
hey Kenny, thx for all your tutorials! they are awesome! double clicking a region in the region/marker manager does not zoom in that region in the arrangement window for me :/ how to fix that?
Can I put by layers? I mean, If I put some region over another region, I can't read the second layer which is below the new region. Can we manage that? Thanks!
I love regions. But I'm having an issue. I rendered a track with the region data. And I can see it if I load it Into a new session on my PC but I sent it to a fried and he can't see them in his reaper on his laptop. Is there a preference he needs to select to see it?
Hi Kenny, we can jump to markers using number keys but why doesn't it jump after number 10 to any specific number in tens. Let say if I wanna jump to marker no 16, i press 1 and 6 but it doesn't and goes to 1, if I press 1 and 0 it jumps to 10. It'll be handy if numerical range is extended.
Oh God, no oh Jesus help I really really really wanted to watch this video but this man’s cadence and he start speaking made me run for the heels and I have been trying to listen to his videos for the last two weeks since I installed reaper every time I accidentally come across his channel I feel like reliving a childhood drama my memory, why oh why oh why does he have to do this? I understand that it seems a more professional slow way of talking but there’s a limit too much of a good thing… You get my point Jesus Lord please please please stop this bullshit bullshit you have such good content and such an essential channel. Just speak like a normal fucking human being with a little bit of controlled cadence like you intend to do in your start way of talking but Christ Almighty please don’t overdo it.
Thanks Kenny,
I work many years with Reaper, but sometimes it is helpful to return to the basics !

As always writing a comment to support the channel
Thanks!
Oh, this is going to come in handy.
Can you make it so it doesn't immediately jump between markers but waits till the end of a measure?
Kenny! I've noticed that if I have different tempos in certain regions and I move the region, the tempo does not move with the region. Or if I insert a new region in between some the tempo map is thrown off and doesn't maintain the original tempo map
Thanks. Super useful

That was very helpful, Kenny. I had no idea about the Region/Marker Manager----that's fantastic!
Is the only way to select multiple markers quickly in the Region/Marker manager?
Why is it when you have 11 or more markers it doesnt skip ? I understand pressing 1-9 works logically... and if you do 10 it works as wel but why not 11+ ?
Quick question, can you save all the region colors as a template? So I don't have to keep searching for each color when I do new songs? Thanks.

Go to the actions panel, search for markers or regions and add your own shortcut.
