- I don't know too much about Jubilee as a character, but I think they nailed it thematically in terms of making her a little underpowered lol. What do you guys think? Is she stronger than she looks? Am I not giving her enough credit? Lmk y'alls feelings on her. She seems a lot of fun with all the alter-ego shenanigans and form flipping.

this might be the first champion that doesn't auto include the double resource cards. I'm guessing status effects and a great economy will allow her to have a ton of viable builds. Curious to see how they expand on 'resources matter' cards going forward.
True! She has her own double resources that are split so even better for her. She looks very very versatile
One main issue I'm already seeing with Jubilee is that she will actually be punished a bit for using things like Deft Focus. Reducing the cost of her Superpower events with Deft Focus and things like Helicarrier will reduce the amount of different resources that can be used to pay for them. She won't be able to get her stun and confuse on her event cards if you reduce their cost. She's going to have to stick with just resource generators like the X-Jet and her resource cards. That being said, it looks like it will be fun to build around her coat and sunglasses with big event cards and I'm super excited for that 1 cost Disguise upgrade as that's going to make justice Iron Man and Black Widow even stronger.
True. She’s going to have so many resources, like someone else said an extra card option like Avengers Mansion would be great with her. Disguise is one of the coolest new cards that’s been released. Love its consistency and ability to thwart in AE!
you can play in blue : Clarity of purpose + X-Gen + her power. I think "item" is a key word. We can buff her allies signature and touch her events faster

Me: I was never particularly excited for her because I always felt like Emma Frost would have been a better character but I'll be honest I got pretty hyped for her after seeing her kit today.

That ruling on wild resources can be confusing playing her.
Yea I’m not sure why they printed the wild icon on those cards since wilds can always be one of the other resource types, and for 3 cost cards you’re never going to need to declare “wild” when paying for them. Maybe it’s for encounter cards that raise the cost of cards, in which case you can hit 4 resource types? That sounds really specific but I’m hoping that’s it and that she can use wilds as anything.
it's because wild resources can count as wild resources. they don't have to count as one of the other 3. it's a niche but valid distinction
Mutant education will be fantastic with her. It can target shopping spree aswell
That’s gotta be her top card. I think she’s possibly the best Mutant Education user we’ve seen? Maybe not as good as Deadpool but he doesn’t need it as much 🤔🤔

Love those combos! Jubilee’s aspect cards are really cool. They work so well with so many older heroes 👌🏻
I think she will be around the same power level as ms marvel and nova. A nice above average power level.

Strife has an effect where all the player cards cost +1 to play. That would let Three Steps Ahead, Blinding Flash et al use all 4 resource types. Wild can count as one of the others or wild as you need since it says so in the rules:- "Wild Icon (*): A wild icon is a resource icon that
can generate one energy, mental, physical, or wild resource when spent"
Three Steps Ahead is pretty efficient for a thwart event - 6 for 4 ER is better than For Justice. You can also split it over multiple schemes. It's not Clear The Area at its best good though it's getting there. I prefer Aggression Wolverine on first blush - he can attack twice if he needs to, pretty marginal. Gen X feels too "win more" to bother with. Unlike the support & upgrade ones you do not get to play the card you get for free.
Meanwhile back at Jubilee - someone else said she looks a lot like Miles (yawn) and I think she might be like that though with a more complicated mini game to unlock her. There are a lot of cards in her pack that look very tailored to her and a modular set so limited deck building stuff really? At least the modular looks more interesting or at least skew than usual.

For Stryfe, that’s what I was thinking of too for the +cost, but that’s a really specific situation for those wild prints to not count as “overpaying” so I’m not entirely sure.
The chunk of threat I think is a lot better in multiplayer, but for true solo idk if threat will go so high, especially for side schemes.
I was actually just discussing with someone how her events remind me of Miles’ events, but Miles has more efficiency. She does have way more upgrades/items and potentially more synergy with aspect cards which I like!
NGL, I lost all focus on her kit when I heard Arcade got a mod set. I don't care if she's good, I want Arcade.
I will say, she's probably gonna be cracked with justice builds using float like a butterfly, since she has money and built-in confusion.

Hi WWF. The reason why they printed universal resource in her events is for making it clear that if you use 2 or more universals they only count as ONE type.

@@webwarriorfanatic I doubt. In her case, they count the printed resource. And a wild resource is considered wild. (At least, I understood this)
That is wrong. One of the most famous build is Honed Tecnique and No Quarter (NQ). NQ is a 2 cost event with physical requirement. So for Honed Technique to trigger, one of it need to be science. We already have the answer that power of aggression can pay for 1 mental and 1 physical because wild can be treated as anything or wild

There is 4 different resources in the game: Physical, Mental, Energy and Wild. Wild can be treated as any. The key is can, so you can treat wild as wild resource.
She also will suffer from the Pay and Overpay rule. With these 2 rules, she is not as easy to learn.
I like that she is like Ms Marvel and Black Panther combined. She has the resource to pay for more expensive event and ally.

Pay and overpay is important for her.
She looks very fun but not on the top of my list of next to buy packs. Love the character though 😁

First impression, I see her very open to several archetypes. Better if full of resource cards. Ideal with high card count in hand, less loving cards which discount costs like helicarrier. Avenger Mansion seems a must have for her. Thanks for the video!
Totally agreed! I’m already a huge Avengers Mansion lover, but Jubilee can easily play it and utilize its card draw. Thanks for your comment, Oreste!

she seems okay , one of the less interesting mechanics from all the other Xmen, she is like a hero with mechanics of Honed Technique and being rich.
Good observation! I do like her simplistic design, but definitely less streamlined than the other mutants we’ve seen.
