Dynamics is really the way to go and louder does not always sound good Alan Silverman has a video talking about how bad things are with getting louder the way they mixed and mastered back in the day was and is so much better would be nice to see a video on using Ozone 10 for mastering for dynamics

exactly, and that is why you bring the musical events CLOSER(INCREASE dymanic PERCEPTION) closer to your ear, so the DIFFERENCE(the dynamics) is more dramatic, more relevant
