I'm not sewing this afternoon just relaxing after a long day of work watching your video and unwinding but i will start cutting my fabric tomorrow for this sew long on my day off and catching up on watching the rest of my RUclips videos.
I would love to see more embroidery! But really I enjoy watching all that you sew. I only found your channel a few weeks ago but I really am enjoying everything. I need to go back and watch all your old videos.😊
Happy to see you starting the "Preppy" quilt sew-a-long. We are getting prepped for this artic blast that we are to be getting today. Hope you have been prepared for it also.
I have my battery operated lights, firewood stacked on the back porch and power bank to charge my phone if needed. Vehicle is full of gas too and have a.case of water.
Looking forward to see the Preppy quilt. I had to put my own quilt sewing on hold to make gifts and bags for Christmas and have not gotten back into my sewing room since Christmas, so I am knitting while watching your videos. Thanks Cathy!
A rest is always welcome but sewing just brings me back to life. Have your rest and take some time. Look through some craft books and your mojo will come back when you are well rested and those creative juices start flowing again.
I just requested this patter and am excited about it! I was just at one of my local fabric stores today for a punch needle class and I saw some FQ that I loved and didn't get, but I may have to go back because I think they will be perfect for this one! Thank you for another wonderful video! Have a Blessed day!
A very cute quilt, I like the bright colors in the pattern they chose with the dark sashing. You know you can get a strip cutter from Accuquilt. You cut out your strips and then place them going the opposite direction to make the squares. I do this a lot with my 2 1/2” strip cutter. I need to work on under the cabinet decluttering too. We should take 5-10 minutes a day a get it done. Talk to you later!😊
Hi Cathy! Im having coffe while eatching you and yhen ill get back in my sewing room and get back to wotk on baby projects. I just cant justify starting a new quilt when im so far behind. Ill have to save this one for later! Happy Saturday!
I am going to work on this quilt later today. You will need 80 white squares as you are making 20 white 4 patches divided by the sashing pieces. I have the regular full size aququilt with the handle. I am hoping I have a 3 1/2 " square die.
Yes, that is correct. I wasn't thinking about that when I was sewing. I do have the 3.5 die but it only has one square on it. I think it would be nice to have one with at least 9 on it.
I have a box of scrappy 3.5 inch squares that I am using for this Preppy quilt, along with some black for the sashing and cream for the background. Enjoying this sew along with you.
I think I might like to join a gardening or quilting group if I can find something like that in my area! Hopefully 2025 is going to be a more mobile year for me (physically) and I can do more with my grandson! The preppy quilt is going to be just beautiful! Have a wonderful day my friend 👋✌️🌴🌳🌲
I like to sew along with you. Even if it’s not the same pattern. I will use a pattern I already have that has about the same number of blocks. It keeps me on track when I’m sewing with someone (even if it is virtually) 😂. While you were sewing the pumpkins I was sewing stars and we finished about the same time.
I’m looking forward to seeing this quilt together! I’d like to see more hand work, EPP or embroidery maybe even crochet or knitting if that’s your thing?!
For some reason I'm not getting notifications when you put up a video. Hmm. When my kids were in elementary school, I had No money for tools. I had scissors and regular ruler. Everything was marked with a pencil and cut with scissors. I started supervising lunch at the school my kids went to. Paid once a month, I would walk 3 miles to Joann's and use a coupon to buy a tool I needed. Took a while to get all I needed. But I did.
When I first started sewing I used my aunts sewing machine and borrowed her tools. I got my first very own sewing machine at the age of 36. Before that, I always used borrowed machines.
Bathrooms are the worst! We have been in this house full-time for 2 years (retired and moved). I have finally finished up the bits and bobs of shampoo, lotion, makeup, cleaning supplies - that I brought up with me. I figure anything that was opened prior to our move has lived out its destiny - and perfumes do go bad!
Time good by so fast, the older you get the faster the time flies!!!
I agree. My grandmother used to always tell us that and now we are the ones telling our children and grandchildren the same thing.
Hi Cathy, I can't wait for the green fairy unboxing. I ordered somethings too!😅
There is one pattern and bundle that I am so excited about - well I am excited about it all but super excited about the pattern and bundle.
Sorry missed you earlier had a party to go to
@joycehernandez4513 That is quite alright. You are here now, and that is what matters.

I’m so glad you are enjoying the videos, even if it’s just for a bit of relaxing time! Someday we just need to relax.

Thank you! That is one of the things I am interested in delving into a little more.

I’m so glad you are enjoying the videos, even if it’s just for a bit of knitting time! Perfect weather for knitting too.
Always nice to take a break and work on something different. ❤ I haven’t sewed since before Christmas either and my mojo has gone away 😢

@@tessahouse9960 I have a 2.5 strip cutter die but thought this would be just as easy.
Thank you.
You’re welcome!

That is perfectly ok. So happy that you came along and watched.
Love to watch you 😊 be blessed

Thank you! That is one of the great things about the patterns I have found so far. They can all be scrappy.
I’m working on designing a sewing room for myself. It’s only in my head for now, but soon.
Some of the greatest ideas were never written down.

@tinavernon5387 That would be amazing! I am checking out what is going on in my area to join.
If anyone is interested, I found 7 fat quarters on clearance in the walmart app for 49 cents, others for $1.24.
WOW!! I will have to check that out.

@@soniac.9085 Great idea. I am in the process of trying to catch everything up so I can have some more items complete and not hanging out.

Unfortunately, I can't do much handwork. I may try EPP out this year.
I was cutting threads off the top of a king size quilt while listening to the chat.
Have a blessed day
Thank you for joining!

I haven't worn perfumes in years and the only one I wear, I purchased in a rollerblading tube.
