Unless they didn't have any flight backpacks like Shinn did. Although I'm still wondering why the Immortal Justice didn't explode much like Herbert and Mars' Gelgoogs.

Watching this scene hurt me on a spiritual level. Seed was my gateway series into Gundam, and K instantly fell in love with the Archangel. Its design, how durable and iconic it was, plus carrying mobile suits, just perfect. To this day, it was and still is my favourite space warship not just in Gundam, but ALL sci-fi. Farewell Archangel. May you rest as one of Gundam’s greatest vessels.

The thing with ships is they tend to be in use for years or even decades. In universe the archangel is like 5 years old? That’s still pretty new for a ship

Damn dude, the "Unsinkable" Archangel finally got destroyed. This was sadder than any character death, especially since she survived far longer than most characters in both Bloody Valentine wars, Archangel was truly the Millennium Falcon of SEED. Such an iconic vessel. F to pay respect.
That's the war cry of someone who protected that ship time and time again and died once for it. There were heads to be rolled for the Archangel. Also that's the same feeling for everyone who grew up loving the Archangel.
Finally, the indestructible Archangel went down, who was an immortal angel and guiding beacon of peace throughout Seed and Destiny. Now the mantle is passed to the Millenium and her gundams to defeat the Foundation to avenge her death.

It hurts to see the Archangel finally being destroyed after the numerous fierce battles it survived throughout all of SEED and Destiny. But if it had to go down, at least Murrue later got to captain the Millenium, an awesome ship in its own right and a worthy successor to the hero vessel we knew and loved.
fuck the black knight! Duel, Blitz, Buster & Eagis are unable to destroy Archangel. Even Minerva had to put up a fierce fight to bring down Archangel. But the 2 mobile suits were destroyed just like that without any fierce fighting.. my heart was broken to see my favorite battleship destroyed! This is the second time after Minerva.
1:27 Interesting that the front skirt missile shoots forward here. IIRC the original Murasame only ever used the missiles in MA mode, and it points forward in MA mode (presumably upwards in MS mode unless it rotates during transformation).
if u look very closely the skirt did rotate a bit to face the black knight but still kinda weird to shoot forwards like this, maybe because the missile was able to pull very tight turns I guess

脱出出来なかった残りのクルーはメイリンが救助されていたけどブラックナイトスコード隊の撤退した隙に助けたのかな？(マリューは撃沈を免れたムウによって救助)

撃墜を偽装する技巧のお陰で、マリューを無事救出。そしてファウデーション王国はレクイエムでオーブを打とうと(4射目の発射)その矢先に最大の障害者として立ちはだかりレクイエム第１次中継点の偏向リングを破壊➕レクイエムの発射をアカツキのヤタノカガミで全身全霊に耐え反射され修復をせざるを得ない状態にされた。そのあとはレクイエム完全破壊の為にゼウスシルエットをシンに渡す役目でここまでやけど、シュラがキラを生存の確認をじゃんと見ていなかったのは言われてるけどブラックナイトスコード隊全般に言えるが、マーズ➕ヘルベルト➕コンパスのメンバー何人か撃沈➕アークエンジェル撃沈➕ライジングフリーダム撃沈➕イモータルジャスティス撃沈以外はパイロット➕クルーを殺せていなかった事が、彼らの最大の逆襲劇を喰らう羽目になる運命やった。

んで、ミサイルの斉射で黒騎士を牽制しつつイモジャの残骸を破壊して、その爆炎を目くらましにしてシンを拾う隙を稼いだファインプレーよ
最終的にゲルググに乗ったけど、後々ヒルダ用ガンダムくらいはできそうだな。それくらいの技量はある。
それかやはりジオン系列のリメイクの専用機か？

活躍の場面は少なかったけど、数少ない活躍した内容がどれも主役たちに負けないくらいのMVP級だったから、ムウ推しの私はとても満足です。

If you think about it, the Archangel is a better design than Millennium since Archangel can purge damaged sections. It's modular.

無印時代からずっと一緒だったアークエンジェルを落とされたことで、パッと出のファウンデーションに対するヘイトが一気に最大値になった
やられはしているけど、複数機のブラックナイツ相手に落とされ切られないムウはやっぱ凄すぎる

ラミアス艦長の正しい指揮の素晴らしさで感情忙しかった。
