    Hearing anyone else give the interview makes you realize how irreplaceable Aaron is on this podcast. His preparedness and thoughtfulness in asking just perfect questions to the traders and really getting to what we listeners are thinking and wondering.. the soothing radio voice and Aussie accent.. and always having the respect and admiration of both the traders he interviews as well as the listeners, for being the creator of this so cherished resource in the trading community. Proud of him for finding his own success in trading but will definitely miss the classic Aaron Fifield CWT episodes

    Biggest take away: Syphon money out of the market into tangible assets.
    Everyone will have a draw drown but at least you’ll have money from those trades.

    I was a subscriber with John Carter following only his trades. He started having problems with his trading in 2021. And would gaslight us into thinking that he was making money. I remember tracking his trades and making a comment in chat that they were all losers. Shortly after that he said on video that his account has "plateaued" still not admitting that he was losing. I laughed my ass off and realized I was dealing with a liar

    I discovered John on episode 69 (what a number 😁) and this is when I got in the stock market and got smack around like a ping pong ball, after hearing it takes John 8 years and how he threw up in the dumpster before closing on his house, I gave me SO MUCH strengths to keep going and ever since all I trade is options, YOU MY HERO JOHN THANKS!

    You are so fortunate that you have access to traders like John Carter, but I wish you understood trading a bit more so you could ask more beneficial questions such as what else he is looking for when entering a trade. It was him that brought up ATR. For example he discussed using 3 ATR for his Keltner channels. There are so many follow up questions that could have been asked rather than what are tangible assets?. Are you serious?

    Thanks for the great interview. I trade options as well and of course deal with losing trades and trying to decide, is my hypothesis still valid. It's THE most challenging obstacle I face. I've started speaking out loud to myself when this happens, as I trade alone. It's working. And I agree with John, when you do cut the losers, man, I feel so much better! Looking forward to trading 6 figure trades and turning them into $5Mil!!! One day one day! Thank you Aaron and Tessa!

    not a swing trader, but I feel like how he held onto (and added to) that losing position that eventually turned into a winner is a terrible example and shouldn't have been shared at all. Sure, it's great that it worked big in this case but most of the time it will not, and trades like that can turn into very big losses very quickly (he even mentioned, it was 25%+ of his own account.. on one trade..)

    • @brothergod6633
      @brothergod6633 3 месяца назад

      Definitely not approved by the Kelly criterion or any risk management protocol I’ve heard of. I have heard that being aggressive occasionally in your trading career is necessary to outperform.

    He said he allocated 25-30% of the account but is misleading because he does not say what the actual max loss scenario was. Like he may have used 25-30% of buying power but there's no way he legit is risking a 25-30% of his capital on any one trade.

    How much does he risk to make 1-5 million?
    Am I missing something?
    Risking 25% if Google gaps down over night he’s toast. I’m sure their are some traders that loses everything. John is the one that came out alive betting 25% with over night holds. So of course you look like a champion. Not say he’s not a good trader. Just wondering if there are 1000 of traders betting like this how many come out alive?

  • @kiklocus4660

    im not denying the fact that he is great trader, when he is making 5 million a trade, that means he is also losing in millions. I would like to know his losing trades, how spectacular are those.

    Great episode, and I don't mind a co-host. But something bothers me. We can all use a different tone in our voice, like if I work in a restaurant I use my "service voice", which is calm and more lightly toned, but I sound like a doofus if I would speak like that on a regular basis. Anyhow I know Tessa is new, and she's finding her place in the podcast. And I think Tessa should be herself, but less service, less "feminine" and more laid back sort of, if you get my point. More of a conversation and less like talking to a 5 year old. Keep it up! (And this is just my opinion, doesn't mean it's right.)

      Dude she’s a woman. She can & should sound feminine. Maybe more lively or energetic could help. However in a male dominated field it’s refreshing to have a woman & feminine energy. Glad she has joined & she can stay just how she is too. Deal with it guys!
