- EP 080: One traders volatile path from (below) zero to hero, and beyond w/ Anthony Crudele
Anthony Crudele started at a very young age on the CME floor, and he has one really interesting story about coming up as a trader…
It does involve some pretty drastic failures, burning through significant amounts of cash, and a whole lot of perseverance. But, he eventually broke through and went on to have years of making six and seven-figures, while heavily trading the E-Mini S&P 500 from it’s inception.
In our chat, you’ll hear about Anthony’s multiple blowouts and comebacks, his turning point as a trader, his approach to trading futures today, and a healthy reminder to protect your downside.

"You have to learn how to lose before you learn how to win." Wow that's a great quote! This is another great interview.
taking that into consideration i'm will be aTrading Hero some day!! :)
Love the honesty! Many traders are fake this guy actually had to go broke multiple times until he made it through
These are all so relevant in 2022. Bangers. Please don’t stop 🙏
What a great interview. My timeline overlaps perfectly… I started as a runner in the corn pit in 1995. There is so much to learn about oneself on this beautiful journey
Love the pure honesty of this interview. It's refreshing.
My new favorite interview Going to listen to this one a few times. Great story and great practical practicable advice. 🍻
46:26 The importance of patience and trading less.
This guy is a veteran trader.... i like the zeal that Crudele has....
I have listened to lot of traders. But I think he is the ONE.
Opened the mind..its like a real game. And one has to learn and control their emotions with money
Trading is an art
"The over trading I used to do is not working." Good point. I finally become a profitable trader when I overcomed over trading.
God bless, Aunt Flo

Very relatable too
35:40 '' RISK-MANAGEMENT''
The real gem of this entire interview is about his risk management, and I will tell you that you will listen to it and you won't understand it until you have traded for a couple of years and then you will realize that it is the only freaking thing that matters in trading I have a series on my channel where I try out random strategies and all I do is control the risk and I'm profitable every single time.
But I also did this on my own trading if I go up early I'm going to push a little bit harder on the next trade or the rest of the day if I go down early I'm going to lighten up until I get back to break even and then I'm going to start pushing it again because by then you have your best reads on the market
💯💯💯 This truly was a changing point for me recently. I found an entry strategy I liked, built a small framework, strong risk management, and very slowly it is starting to work out.
@@iCodeForBananas you stalking me bananas? Glad trading is going well for you
@@jaymoneytrader Haha no stalking, I'm a big fan of Anthony Crudele. I'm probably trading closer to some of that channel stuff you showed me now. Hope you're killin' it dude!
@@iCodeForBananas yeah i was just showing some guys in my discord last night about the probabilities they loved it
This interview was one of the most upbeat , keep it up, they all seem to have good positive messages.
+Dale Elliott, pleased you liked this one!
Risk Management....35:36 I became extremely good at risk management
One of the bests from Chat with Traders !!!
Aaron, truly one of the best interviews!! I’m working my through all your older videos and just keep learning new stuff all the time. Your interview style and quality of guests are outstanding! You’re a Mitzvah to your audience.
Thanks Aaron for you do. I just happened to see this on RUclips and really looking forward to go through more episodes. Keep up the great work mate!
your interviews are really amazing. Great inspiration and advice for new traders
Fantastic interview Aaron, I think its the best yet. What a story, you could make a wicked movie about his career. Very inspiring and insightful, thanks!
Great interview. Great advice. One of the best. Keep up the great work Aaron.
One of the best so far!
working my way through every episode and I think this is one of the best yet. So much value from Anthony in the story and the advice about risk management and working a position. Thank you! Have to save this one to listen again.
never a truer word spoken throughout this, hits home hard! well done bro!
Awesome podcast! Learn to mange risk!! Right ON!!
SO PROUD of our CHICAGO TRADERS---Pit observer EURO PIT/CME---runner all other pits largely S&P
This is episode is gold
I don't know if I understand it correctly, but Anthony's strategy sounds similar to mine. For example, when you see Flag or Pennant on the daily chart in an uptrend, go to its 1/4 - 1/8 TF, here, so when you see a similar Flag or Pennant on your 4 hours chart, then go to its 1/4 - 1/8 TF, then when you see a similar Flag or Pennant on your 30 mins charts, just wait for a break out, once it breaks out, go long. It should go up pretty rapidly, but if it doesn't, and when you see a candle with long head and tail in your 4 hours chart, get the fuck out, and if you see a strong bullish candle in each of your TF, you are pretty much on the right track. MACD helps with watching for divergence, I agree with him that we as retails traders should forget about bottom or top. Same rule applies here, when you see divergence in MACD in each of the 3 TF I mentioned, it's is about to time to get out and take your profit.
Great one as usual Aaron :) THANK YOU !!!
Thank you, for bring Anthony Crudele. He just reflected on my current situation, i'm going back to the drawing board to focus on money management, just like he did. (thanks for this one, Aaron).
your story is happening to me right now hopefully will listen again i could skip more mistake thank you
Deli is the King !!! Great interview !!
Just wow! 7 years ago and still so relevant. Thank you!
Thank you, review on emotional & anxiety aspects, + tips, on building position size / ( pyramiding ? ), with tight, trailing stop loss, when trade is going your way. I saw some hate in comments. C'mon guys. This is no place for that.
He came back n won because of Risk Management! 👏 Awesome
Amazing interviw! Thanks
Excelente audio. Me gusto. Hay que controlar las pérdidas que eso es el secreto de ser rentable en el trading 👽👍
Another really great interview with information that is "good as gold", thanks Aaron!
Anthony is the real deal. He suffered what I have suffered as a trader. If 90% of us fail (some of us get back up), then how are all these "successful" traders not losing much from the start and then become million dollar traders. It doesn't add up, just my opinion.
Its not the percentage of how much u failed which matters but u have a knack and think that knack will teach you how to be profitable. It seems u will learn it within few weeks but years pass by.
Great listen. Sure beats work!
Awesome Episode. Thanks, Gentlemen.
my favourite one so far!!
Best trading journey I have listened to!
I agree

Great interview!
36:00 Add Winners, Scratch Losers. Daily Stop Limit
exactly what I came back to listen too. Good stuff!
This was a really good one.
Interesting to hear about some Merc guys. I was in Chicago but always at CBOE until like 2004 when I went to CBOT but my roommate was at Merc in the Yen but I was always at CBOE. This guy is very typical of Merc guys.
awesome interview...unfortunately you can't scale as a scalper especially on the open of the S&P too volatile
Great interview! After listening to a bunch of your interviews and being an aspiring E-mini trader I was about to send you a message saying "Hey, we need to hear an interview with an E-mini trader", but this has answered my question! Always great interviews Aaron. I really enjoy your channel!
+Rad Chadimus Maximus, really cool! I'm thrilled you enjoyed this. Have you heard the two episodes with FuturesTrader71, I think you'd like those also?
Actually I listened to the first few minutes of it, but had a busy day and I never got back to it. I will check it out again!
My opinion the best interview!! Favorited
+Huy Og, yeah - Anthony was an awesome guest, with a great story too.

When I think of Globex I always think of The Simpsons episode with Hank Scorpio.
lol me too
excellent
Whenever you hear a champion trader story they always say their success was due to risk management.
35:00 risk management
People say there is no money tree but I think they are there in form of seeds and this is one of the seed of the tree
amazing interview!
+Ricardo, stoked you liked it man.
Your intro man is to intense! Your a calm dude and the intro should portray the vibe you bring
His was a scalper before the scalping concept was a thing in trading!!
I couldn't understand which indicator they are taking about. Can someone please explain?
The indicating indicator.
Finaly i hear somthing important from this interview on 35:20
What was his biggest year and has it been consistent based on the lessons and rules he's given for himself?
2:14
Can anybody please explain how is that he builds his positions? I think he said he buys contract by contract when it goes 1 tick his way, but i quite don't get it :(
He enters small, just like a nibble, and if it goes his way, he makes his position bigger.
Watch Tom Hougaard videos to understand this better. He's a great teacher.
1:03:24 Learn to loose before you can WIN
35:00
great interview but is it me or does everyone have a membership service nowadays? as if making money in the market and the stress of that alone isn't enough?
Side incomes. You want to have multiple income streams. It takes the pressure off of trading.
Trader who gets upset about losses is like a surgeon who faints at the sight of blood.

"No long the high frequency type I was."
have Kenny Glick on
Hey buddy I could use 25k as a favor
how can this be zero to hero when he was born on floor CME?
His story is oddly similar to Rounders, where he is uniquely talented but has a major downfall, but after being helped by a Jewish man and loan of 10.000 dollars, he is able to turn it all around.
feb 4, 2017, None of these traders tell their methods,
he told pretty much his whole method starts at 35.45
Because they have none!
Aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi
Just another salesman with indicators to sell. Nothing to be learned here folks. Sorry Aaron, but I feel compelled to warn your novice viewers.
