Out of all the ending Xenoblade songs, this one cuts straight to my heart. The fear of taking a first step and moving to the future is articulated so well here. At the same time, there is this loving and nurturing encouragement that pushes us forward. It's beautiful. Knowing Takahashi writes the lyrics too, this feels like a personal letter from himself to the Xenoblade fans about the journey we've been on together.

I know that fear all too well. Once, I blindly rejected this series over that fear. But in my insecurity with my stance, I stepped through that door, and was rewarded with innumerable experiences better than I could have hoped for on the other side. Listening to this as the most potent vignettes of the series flashed before my eyes from behind the credits, I felt congratulated for endeavoring to broaden my horizons when I could have stayed stuck in place and ossified in my interests.

After sitting on it for a while, I feel this is a perfect ending to Xenoblade.
    (Spoilers below)
Sure, folks probably wanted to see all their favourite characters hanging out after the worlds merged, and so did I when finishing the DLC. But now that the trilogy is finished, we're leaving this world behind to go and see new ones; there's no reason for it. We know from context clues that everyone is alive; Noah and Mio meet up again after Bionis and Alrest fused together, the world has been reset to a time before Aionios was created so Shulk, Rex and the other party members are still around, and everyone is happy.
Shulk and Rex even say at the end of Future Redeemed that they're not dying, they're just going to become a part of Origin. They'll return to life once Origin restarts and they'll meet Nikol and Glimmer again someday.
I feel as though showing how life is getting on would have been WAY too fanservice-y, even for this game. This DLC only showed the cards it absolutely had to play for the story to make sense. We know that everyone is happy, there's no reason to show it.
And now it's time for something new. One final shot of the combined world; one last goodbye to this amazing trilogy before we depart for whatever Monolith has in store for us next.

As a long time fan, thank you Takahashi for completing Perfect Works. For people who are just fans of the Xenoblade franchise, Tetsuya Takahashi has had this absolutely bonkers and massive story planned out for almost 30 years and recorded it in a book called Perfect Works. He was never able to complete it with his previous works. Xenogears was time crunched by Square Enix and overshadowed by FF7. Xenosaga didn't do very well as a series and was canned by Bandai Namco. Then was Xenoblade was originally supposed to be a stand alone game and not released in the west, but then it did release in the west due to fan demand. Then Xenoblade 2 was the core groundwork for a giant roller coaster that ended with the Future Redeemed DLC.

OFFICIAL Lyrics (Line-by-line as they appear in the credits subtitles)
    You're standing at a loss
    In front of a door
That's been closed for so long
    With your foreseeing eyes
    What do you see?
Until you open it, you cannot know
    Afraid to see
What could be on the other side
    Oh can't you see...
How much I feel the same as you
    It seems...
We just need to let it all go free
    I've seen that look before
The stare of your fearful looking eyes
That quiet voice inside, what do you hear?
    Will you give up
    And stay where you belong
    Afraid your time
It just might take too long
    And you won't know
    Unless we keep on trying
Now we need the strength to carry on
    [Instrumental]
Our voices might not be heard
And it doesn't matter if we fail
But if there is a future
That's where we'll set our sights
    From one sure step,
    We'll walk hand in hand
    Just the two of us
If you feel you've got no guidance
I will always be near, right beside you
If you think you've lost your way
We will walk this path together
    For our future awaits
I see you by the door
    So... Just walk through
    Don't take too long
    'Cause everything you've said
    You'll find it there...
    in our future

We were told that Choice and Unity are the foundations of Change
We were told to never forget the past, but never fear the change that comes from trying to make life better
We were told that individual purpose is the best way to treat our own selves better, and to make the world a better place means not to strive to change the lives of a million people, but to reach the personal dreams, and changes you wish to see in your life
And we learned that there's nothing that could be done alone that couldn't be done better together, with the perspective of our own merits.

I knew about these games before XB3, by seeing them on RUclips and such, I had money to spend and bought XB1 and XB2+Torna and fell in love with the beautiful worlds before me. I tried my best to beat each game before XB3 came out, and my hype just kept getting higher as trailers came, and as I progressed through each game. Before Xenoblade I was having a really tough time, One of my Grandparents died, I was going through a breakup, and my best friend was moving away indefinitely, all this led to my grades in school going down and it was just horrible especially since I failed to give a proper goodbye to each. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 came out and like usual I loved each moment of it, I actually cried during the cutscene when they're all interlinking against Moebius K while "The Weight of Life" played. During the fight with O and P, when Mio had her speech I was left really impacted by it. Chapters 5-6 had me bawling and had me depressed the rest of the night, still can't ever watch the prison cutscene without crying, I actually remember calling up one of my friends while not thinking and crying to them. I beat the game the next day, the fight against Z was very fun, and then being hit with the emotional damage of everyone saying goodbye to each other.
I beat Future Redeemed two days ago, I loved it, seeing Shulk and Rex was very good, I warmed up to Matthew really early on, and loved A from the start, I loved all the characters to be honest.
The ending had me smiling from ear to ear, I cried a bit when Shulk, Rex, and A left off to keep Aionios afloat. When the credits came on and I saw cutscenes from all the games, it was safe to say there were tears to be had!
I love Xenoblade Chronicles so much, it is my favorite videogame franchise without a doubt!
It has become an inspiration for me, and it has definitely helped me through my toughest times
Thank you, Shulk, Rex, Lora+Jin, Noah, Matthew, and even Elma (even though I haven't played X)
for bringing me on these wonderful journeys, you've really taught me valuable lessons
a real thank you goes to Takahashi for making these games happen, his stories will always make me emotional,
I am so excited for what he has in store for the future that awaits.

100%'d the game. I feel like this dlc made me appreciate the base game a lot more. The core themes of the status-quo and who decides the future and whether thats right or not. Takahashi Finally got to tell his perfect works. Ties all the games, and I do mean all, with a nice bow. It answered a lot of continuity questions and even gave slight nudges as to what happened to and what was certain things in base 3.
Also, if you sync up base game + dlc ending credits they match almost 1-to-1. Klaus saga was great, cant wait to see if the next is a direct continuation or takes place millennials in the future.
