Did William get a new guinea pig companion or was this the one that he didn't get along very well with?

@@DailyGuineapig As a former guinea pig owner myself I used to have a single guinea pig. Contrary to popular belief, guinea pigs can live by themselves as single guinea pigs provided that they are getting all of the love and care and attention and affection from their owners that a guinea pig could possibly want or wish for. Male guinea pigs seem to be able to live a lot better by themselves than their female counterparts.

This simply isn't true, it's harmful rhetoric that lazy/bad owners try to push. Guinea pigs are social animals. No such thing as a guinea pig that MUST live alone with the exception of an elderly or special needs piggy, but even then they can live happily with another laid back pig. Guinea pigs who are separated due to fights must be kept close to other pigs, ideally with their cages side by side so they can still interact safely through the cage bars but won't be able to hurt each other as they're not in direct contact. Studies have shown that keeping lone pigs' cages like this is just as beneficial as having a cage mate. Neutering lone boars and pairing them with a sow is also an option. I've managed to bond even the most aggressive guinea pigs (both male and female), it just takes some trial and error and picking out a friend with the right temperament. I've rescued and bonded guinea pigs for over 12 years and currently own 7. I've noticed that it's always former/inexperienced owners who try to push the "guinea pigs are perfectly content living alone!" nonsense.

@@darrenmiles-morland8038This is misinformation. I've cared for piggies for over 12 years. No such thing as a guinea pig who is content with only human contact. Even the most aggressive pigs require social interaction with other pigs who are in the cage next to them.
