Dude, love your videos ! Also, these two guys are just awesome to watch for so many reason. Both Federer (of course) and Fucsovics have just glorious flowing strokes..., beautiful forehands and gentle slice backhands.
Thank you for all your postings, excellent idea. This is as close to real as one can get near court. As an oldie, I can appreciate this quality of tennis. Sincerely BIG Thanks !!!
Especially because they were practicing hitting cross court, so when he hit it down the line like that, it’s not a winner, he just messed up the direction
Agreed! It looks so easy! Though I often wonder how Federer would do hitting with a junk partner like most of us face. The rhythm is wonderful but impossible to find at club level tennis.
This angle really does show how much topspin top players put on the ball. During the TV matches, the camera angles make everything look flat, except for the slices of course. Great stuff, thanks.
__at times.. when I'm unable to sleep... I play Federer practice video.. watching him play in a practice session is so comforting and soothing.. it makes me sleep within minutes...!!
Otherwise the best seat you could get was your couch, the view would be amazing. so they make it almost impossible to enjoy at home so you would come and watch the matches, tbf most of the seats are the same or worse than the cameras position
at 5:12 his training partner Fucsovics does the same but even more placed on the line... but it's not Federer so no reactions from the fanboy...(even Roger nods with his head)
You went oh my gosh at federer but what the other did at 5:13 was equally good.. Awesome video btw.. Thanks for it. Your videos are better than the official ATP Tour by a country mile. Shame on them.
Mark it wasn’t equally good, fed shot was ok, Fuscovics shot’s was better, it’s just a simple down the line. But fed’s technique is more fluent obviously, and the “omg” was too much imo
thank you. i have been his fan since i was 5. these days i have a lot of freetime so i think of get into play tennis not just watch lol this helps me alot :)
I wish he could take a wooden racket and show us just for a few minutes, what he is able do with it. This would be quite an interesting way to show the old school tennis fans how a true Master handles such situation.
His forehand in this session is wristy compared to his usual shot. Here he is hitting every FH like it is a low ball; normally he hits through the ball. Is it because Fucsovics is hitting with heavy spin?
I love the fact that FEDERER, the greatest player in history is using an old fashioned conventional grip, nowadays called an EASTERN grip and not one of those new, ridiculous looking and wrist breaking western grips , a grip which mystifies me as to how the player does not break his wrist on every shot. We older players all learned how to play raquet sports with this conventional grip so it is nice to see that this great player uses the same grip. In fact, being a multiple sport racquet athlete, I think that almost all racquet sports can be and should be played with that old fashioned conventional eastern grip where the knuckle on your index finger and the base of your palm is aligned with the 2nd or 3rd BEVEL of the racquet handle. It is very comfortable and natural and you can execute just as many crazy shots as with the tricked out western grip. But, I have to grudgingly admit that many of the top players, like NADAL use that weird looking western or semi-western grip with the index finger on the 4th or even 5th bevel and they seem to be pretty successful at it...so who knows.
His forehand grip is fascinating to watch, as he can vary the articulation of his wrist according to the amount of spin he wants to put on the ball. Obviously, it takes tens of thousands of hours of hitting to perfect that, but his wrist flexibility and strength is exceptional. It's not something that is easily duplicated. I've tried, yet my grip always reverts back to a semi-western in order to get topspin on the ball. Fed can do that without altering his Eastern grip. GOAT.
Well, eastern grip sort of a traditional one, but the continental grip (like holding a hammer) is the real old fashioned one. Edberg still played with the continental grip. Between eastern and western is the semi western - still not that distorted as the western one - already Borg played with that. Even semi western is unnatural for me..
Semiwestern and western grips are as old as the eastern grips. I saw an old Bill Tilden's book describing all those grips. Connors played with a semiwestern forehand grip
This is the last of the court level videos guys! Hope you enjoyed them! 🙏 I’ll be posting an update of what’s to come soon!

Or latest? :-)
Do not stop please. Such videos are great. And these Sony cameras are great!
Which lens are you using?
The last... at least for this year🙏 and the lens is the 18-135mm kit
this loud and forced " WOW OH MY GOSH" scream, on a totally random forehand, in this cathedral silence... super awkward.
😂😂😂

@@tonydang8996 agree
And then complete silence when Fucsovics plays a winner down the line intentionally 😂

Roger: Changes direction
Roger fans: Wow Oh my Gosh! Hes genius!
Possibly the most routine slight change of direction rally balls I’ve ever seen blew this guy’s mind. 😂
But no love for the other guy at 5:11 when he changes direction.
We're not all like that at all, just this one guy
Maybe he saw a nicely looking girl in the public
I've watched a lot of Fed practice vids, and this is some of the best hitting I've seen from him. Also great video quality. Good job capturing this!
Thank you!

Fed is definitely feeling his backhand today 😍😍
Loved the cringey 'WOW OHM GOSH"
Wonderful.. The raquet motions of Fed are as fluid as a poem..
pure pleasure watching fed plays, hearing the pop sounds, geez
I don't know why we can't have court level view on TV...
Jouls because I’d lose views if that happened lol
@@RacquetComedy hahaha
They don't like high ratings so they film it from a blimp so we can't see net clearance, feel pace, see foot work, or stroke form. lolol

Awesome hitting and camera angle!
Federer's control of depth is amazing.
It’s genuinely what separates the big 3 from the rest. All three of them have unreal depth
This is so soothing to watch thanks
I saw him practice this close at the W&S open a while back. He was hitting with a young A. Zverev. It was awesome.
This is awesome, thanks for getting this
No problem Matt! 😄👍
This is a treasure, great angle especially for ppl who like to copy RF’s technique.
Good Luck with that
can watch this all day. sublime

Love when he finishes the FH on the same side of his shoulder to generate that extra whip and spin
It's called the reverse forehand FYI

Mark why shame on them? They can’t show court level points for every point because ticket sales would go down the absolute fucking drown.
god i miss him so much. in my eyes, they purely talented athlete ever. it is truly art in motion.
5:05 that outta position, side spin backhand is possibly the most impressive shot in this video
So nonchalant. Relax, recognize, react.
CST, you have a sweet tooth for delicacy. That was down right filthy from Fed!
Also check out that inside out backhand down the line at 12:44. Unreal
100% !!!
100%. That’s the one shot I went “ wow! Oh my god” 😂😂😂
Thank you for your good video!!! By the way, may I use your video on my youtube channel?
Is that Amos from The Expanse at 11:09?
Thank you for sharing! So much elegance and effortless!
That was a loud "wow oh my gosh" not gonna lie that shocked me and made me laugh.lol
Watching federer practice is so therapeutic
And here we are. The day has finally come 😭😭

amazing! Thanks for getting the court level view.
Watching this video of Roger practicing is pure bliss
Как же ты прекрасна, эпоха Федерера!!!
THE DAD IS BACK hahaha that was great man. i love me some robbie federer
I was watching this video to fall asleep to and as I was dozing off, I hear WOW OH MY GOSH

Does Fed change his backhand grip between slice and rolled? I can't see it. Looks like he is hitting BH slice with the BH top-spin grip?
Thanks for this video
Crispy hitting by both players. Great technique on both sides. Who is RF sparring partner?
Marton Fucsovics
Watch it in 0.25 speed then you will see the perfection
I like Fuscovics, nice tidy game
Great video. Love the court level perspective. What camera did you use for this video?
How did you get to see his practice? Is it for special ticket holders?
EXCELLENT video!!!!
Thank you!
So clean
so smooth

Is it because Fucsovics is hitting with heavy spin?
lol. Why would your own video of a practice session be a copyright infringement?
