    Can we say Video Music Box? And that's where I first saw Shante's "Roxanne's Revenge" video, way before MTV showed rap videos; big up to Ralph McDaniels, who was the host of video music box. Honorable mentions also to Rap City which was on BET. I watched YO MTV Raps, and Yes, "Yo" took the videos to another audience, but only after they realized that RAP was making noise, and wasn't just noise, or a fad, like people used to say, so I will always remember the Architects.

    in my opinion the Golden Era ended with the last episode of yo MTV Raps (the famous freestyle session with all the greats and legends episode)... the next three to four years after that hip hop definitely started changing...but shout out to Fab Five Freddy Ed Lover and dr. Dre and T-Money they always made Hip Hop Fun and cool to listen to and look at...type in D.R.U.M.S RUGGED (Subject Matters) on RUclips

    This is crazy!!! I was at work today thinking about Doug E. Fresh and the song he made called "All the Way to Heaven". That's when I first started to really like Doug, because I hated him when he dissed the Fat Boys and Human Beat Box.

    • @RetroCrunch
      @RetroCrunch 6 лет назад

      Damn Kemet. I totally forgot about that. That pissed me off too, cause i grew up on the Fat Boys and that came out of left field. To this day I love both, especially 'the show', but most of the stuff i grew up with was fatboys or even their silly movie.
