- Here is the long awaited review of the CyberGun Licensed Kalashnikov AK47 Beta Spetz; sorry for the long wait, but as I've stated this gun has really been giving me a headache. The weapon is built well and definitley cool but the battery space and poor wiring really do kill the gun. Overall, this is a solid beginner weapon. Buy it here:

This is my first airsoft rifle. and i still use it now after about 2 years owning this. i did an external upgrade to it by adding a base rail scope mount for red dot sights. i will upgrade the battery to a 9.4v 4000mah battery soon. im sure it will fit snugged in the stock. i can get kills/hits at close to mid range with this. Ill do my little review on it when i can. BTW, great review man.

I would recommend .25g BBs and the charge time would be your battery mah divided by the chargers output.

You forgot one thing the top of the gun can come off and that reveals space for the AK-47 battery compartment. So you can rewire your batteries to the top of the gun.

That was the first series of this AEG that was sold. After the first "wave" was sold, they changed the magazine shipped with the gun to this one instead of the other one.
Just saying deathcore, there is a top rail made for this gun, and its definately not a beginners gun, i airsoft a good amount, and even though it was my first aeg, it is my ONLY aeg. Ive gotten many kills at my local field, and even though i have never done cqb, i bet it would be amazing. Its an intermediate gun.

Apparently if you keep the gun on semi-auto for too long it can ware down the bolts inside the gun each time you pull the lever back and forth. It isn't really designed for that type of play.
I hate to be the guy to rip on a review BUT:
First, the stock can hold a 9.6+ battery fairly easily, especially if you use a butterfly.
Second, I wouldn't consider this by any means a backup/friend weapon. After adding the extra battery juice I was out shooting everybody on the field except a fellow who brought a polarstar SAW. Not only that but it is about 2.5x more accurate than any other CYMA, JG, or DBoyz AK out there.
This is definitely an intermediate to advanced level player weapon that will outlast anything on the field.
And you can put a scope mount on this gun you use an under barrel type mount that goes just behind the handguard and reaches over the top
Today I went to "Ambush" in PA, and I noticed a lot of people have this gun (as well do I ;3) and I love it!!!! BUY IT

I got a 2x AAA battery green laser that is clear as hell on my under rail, and i run the optic rail with a AIMS red dot sight. I use a 1 point sling, and im lookin' for a 9.6v battery. (Had this gun for 1.5 years now)

Oh, okay. I knew there is a "version for kids" of the same gun, having a plastic gearbox and a much lower muzzle energy, but I didn´t know there are "full powered" versions with a plastic one.

No they are not the same thing as far as I know. The JG will have a metal gearbox though.

Ah, this one is better. Crosman's plastic gearbox and plastic gears opposed to this one's metal gearbox and steel gears. The R76 also has a plastic body.
They fry with anything higher then 7.4v Lipo. Trigger contacts and wiring will not handle anything above that.
No there is no mount rail.

Can you please tell me the exact length of the barrel? Also, on mine, i can add a scope mount by simply removing the top metal piece, unscrew the 2 screws there and mount a RIS. Also you can install an special ak mount system for scopes and red dots.

It will work fine with a 9.6v, yes.

Hmm, DE is another name for JG, right? I own the JG version and it does have a metal gearbox.
You can use standard AK47 magazines.
Could you do a review on the spring shell ejecting version??
that would look beast without a stock but that is still nice with the full stock just looks alittle weird.
Actually, if you want to do some tinkering with the top cover, you can screw on a 2-3 inch long railpanel or someting so get your optics on there. It'l be a little loose though because of the top cover mounted the way it is. But it works! :P
I believe that one would be wired to the top cover.
Save your money then because if you want to buy a $50 LPEG, you might as well throw handfuls of bbs at your opponents because that would be better than wasting your money on a Crosman LPEG. If you want a "cheap" gun then get DE/UTG tri-shot or TSD shotgun, at least it will be reliable and you can compete a bit more evenly against an AEG.
i bought this gun in Cyma form and was a hundred bucks. my only concern was that it was an absolute bitch to but the magazine in the gun.

this gun is amazing my saw and m4 broke and i ran around with it for a day and powned i recomend it to anyone
A teammate has the same replica (cyma), he hasn't have any problems since he bought it (second had)
The mag is suuuper cheap and the springs wear out fast but the gun is great and is still running strong after 3 years.
I ordered in a pack of five mid caps for around $70 CAD
