When he says “Fine. So be it.” he’s acknowledging the likelihood that he’ll die here, deeming it an acceptable trade off for the opportunity of protecting his friend. He even leads his opponent away from his friend, hoping to divert away attention and energy blasts while he buys time. That’s incredibly badass for a “joke character”.
Hercule is odd since even in Z he helps in many ways. In the Cell Games he curbs mass panic by "explaining" the superhuman feats going on..even if at first he was grandstanding. In Buu he proves he actually cares about people and will lay down if he has to. His supposed cowardice much of the time lends from him being the only person in the series with an actual survival instinct.
Hercule really threw hands with an immortal monster that was far stronger than the friend he once feared deeply, and saw it destroy the entirety of the world he knew, just to let it know he still had some fight and heart left in him. I struggle to think of anyone more deserving of embodying this meme with the sole exception of the source itself.
@Freekazoid The reason Kid Buu is virtually the most menacing of them all is because he's at his purest and most unrestrained that way. The original Evil Buu entity that ate Mr. Buu was part of that pure essence after they split up, and so Mr. Buu became weaker as a result because he is ultimately the remade Grand Supreme Kai, a being of pure good, and ALWAYS the reason Majin Buu wasn't able to make the most of his full power; That ever present sense of restraint. When Super Buu pleaded not to have Mr. Buu pulled off for good from within after he had regained his sense of self, that chain of sanity binding the Grand Supreme Kai and Majin Buu was permanently severed, and so everything docile and held back about the monster was mostly gone for good... ONLY the fact that Hercule genuinely tried to befriend who both Buus were, was what gave the monster ANY bit of pause even after spitting out Majin Buu, though it only meant not killing him outright when hitting him, rather than avoiding hitting him altogether as Mr. Buu did what little he had left on him to hold back Majin Buu from within.
He didn't see any such thing. He doesn't know the planet was destroyed. And he was just crazy and believing his own hype and that he was dreaming. He was also jumping off a cliff because he thought he could fly.
@@medexamtoolscom That was before the fall hurt him, and then everything he had been witnessing and told could no longer be denied... THEN he fought Buu knowing this. He wasn't faking it when he stood up for his friend against Majin Buu any more than he stood up against Vegeta when he was about to try and finish him off while weakened.
At this point in the story, Mr Satan is aware that: -Gods do exist. -There is an after life. -He is the last homo sapiens in the universe. - Demigods were being mopped on the floor by a psychotic sociopath manchild. - That manchild could destroy everything, even the afterlife. And still, this didn't break him mentally (once he did overcome his denial), showing the willpower necessary to save his friend.
Sweet merciful Christ! Mr Satan literally saw the abism of cosmical horrors and still decided to stand against it for the sake of a friend. He was the best example of the human species on that moment.
" *Great men take their Courage from self doubt* *Brave men dare themselves To the sword* *Heroes are not self-Proclaimed martyrs* *Should a man not fight for honor?* "
He earned the title of being one of Earth's strongest humans. The man can do feats no other human has. Crush boulders to sand, pull and then punch his fist clean through a fucking metal camper, his martial arts are actually pretty damn good, and let's not forget his durability. The man takes hits from fucking *Saiyan's* as well as other similar beings and can get back up.
Actually he is the strongest unaugmented human in universe. Krillin is only stronger because of Ki usage. The moment someone wises up to invent a ki nullification field or something, Satan would legit be the most dangerous entity within it's range.
@@animorph17 before Krillin and Yamcha used any Ki attacks, they did show feats that surpasses Satan. also, ki nullification is similar to draining one's energy, people can die of exhaustion due to that.
Yeah, I'd forgotten he's actually a fairly skilled fighter. I do sometimes wonder what happened between Dragonball and Dragonball Z to all the other potential fighters. Always seems like things took a step back normal human wise in terms of skill/power, when Dragonball showed a wide variety of fighters talking part in the world tournaments. Mr Satan always seemed like he was too weak to be chamption when there must surely be a Dragonball level Krillen/Yamcha/Tien fighter out there.
Mr. Satan's physical abilities are actually very impressive. In terms of raw strength and agility, I'd consider him peak human condition without any cybernetic or ki enhancements and his skills as a fighter are rightfully world martial art tournament level.
You gotta admire the flipping size of Mr. Satan's balls. He's been outclassed by the characters in Dragon Ball since at least the first World Martial Arts Tournament we see in the series, yet he still sacked up and threw hands at one of the most powerful beings in both existence and the series to protect his best friend.
Heh, id say he would be stronger than most of the 1st world martial art tournament, ofc anyone utilising Ki in general would defeat him but only Goku and Roshi uses them and Krillin who is physically stronger by his jump alone. But hed be able to beat Yamcha there which is still quite a feat (especially since yamchz doesnt become much stronger till the 2nd WMAT), hell he could probably fight the Ox King and the guy despite failing the training if i remember right? Was still Roshi's student and would probably wip the floor with anyone in the cast of early Dragon ball. Honestly only a few regular of the WMAT would be able to fight the guy.
@@Freedmoon44 funnily.enough the inly source we have for Ox King's power says he had a powrr level of 900 iirc, almost as strong as Raditz (they probably had some intern write it lol, maybe they meant 90)
Bravery is not being without fear, that’s stupidity. Bravery is being afraid and doing what needs to be done anyways because it’s the right thing to do.
What i love about Satan is how even though he's treated to be a bottom tier in terms of power levels, he still manages to pull off amazing feats and is written amazingly as a character nonetheless He's a prime example that a character's power level shouldn't be the thing that matters most, it's their writing And honestly it's really surprising how many DBZ fans would overlook that with alot of other characters in the anime because they aren't as strong as the main cast
He only comes off as bottom tier because he's being compared to characters that essentially have superpowers. He's a professional martial artist he just has no concept of ki control, among regular people he's probably top tier because he's pretty strong for just a human. So if you were to drop him in a setting like OG Dragon Ball before things get too crazy with ki and other powers he'd probably do pretty well.
He did suceed his punchs made buu weak the Spirit bomb It was just the finisher because Mr satan nows that If he uses 0.0000000001 of his Power he will destroy the universe
@@allshipper2158 hercule is a super human, punched through a truck and crushed a rock with his hands, hes the only human who would be able to make kid buu flinch in the slightest
It's worth remembering: 1. When his friend was in genuine danger, Mr. Satan man'd up and went head to head with Buu. That's full protagonist territory right there. 2. Kid Buu outclassed everything that wasn't Goku and Vegeta by such a wide margin, that Hercule's odds of defeating (or even hurting) him were not significantly worse than anybody else's.
Hercule knew he could barely move Buu let alone hurt him, yet he stuck around and defended his friend. Nobody would've blamed him for running away or even giving up, but instead he threw hands with Buu, and I respect him for that.
When the chips were down, and his freind needed help, let no one say Hercule Satan was a coward. He did what he could, standing against a creature so far beyond him. His soul is that of a hero.
If this actually comes to happen, I DEMAND that he has a dramatic finish against Kid Buu. I don't care what they pull out of their asses, anything would be glorious. They can make Majin Buu help him, they can make him stall for time and then Goku appears out of nowhere and spirit bombs him, anything would be amazing enough for me to approve it
@@Ale-tx1qj nah he actually just continues Ora Oraing buu until buu falls asleep. Then suddenly several helicopters decend on him to give him praise and trophies
I'd just like to point out that Mr. Satan is actually an amazing martial artist, and even tanked being slapped into a mountain by Cell. Imagine what he'd be able to do if he actually learned how to use ki.
I just love this moment, its not just Goku and Vegeta, but fat Buu and even Hercule also take on Kid Buu as their last line of defense against the one who destroyed literally everything. Coming home to see th Buu saga unfold after Elementary school is one of the greatest things to watch Toonami back in the day.
I just love that we have mr. satan as an example of peak human without ki. The guy can pull busses, punch through steel, rip a phone book in half, and be deemed the best in the world when there aren't ki powers involved.
Let it be known that even though he's a coward, this man fought back knowing without any chances of winning not because a villain is front of him. It's because a friend in need is behind him
Considering he is just a normal human in a universe full of superpowered deities and warriors, I would say him being afraid is normal. But yeah, Hercule had the bravery in this moment to stand against Kid Buu, a monster that tanked one of Vegeta's forms, and him having the strength to even make Buu move? I would say his heart is unstoppable. Even if his punches did nothing to damage him, he still both bought time for everyone else and proved to everyone he truly is strongest human, possibly in all of fiction.
Say what you like about Hercule, but if he's not on that Kai planet helping fight Kid Buu, Goku and Vegeta lose and the universe is wiped out. He might not be a 'strong' character, but he's a hero nonetheless.
I want an official what if series where Mr Satan actually gets the damn respect he deserves and becomes a protagonist who beats the shit outta beerus or something
Someone who could move four trucks, crush rocks into sand, and even dodge bullets is considered a joke in the dragon ball universe. Think about that for a second
Satan : Let's go! It's time to face the master ! Buu: The hell are you thinking… Satan : fought in tournament, ya know. Buu: At some random event Satan: Try the Budokai tenkaichi. I'm not one of those beltway pansies. I have broken Cell in two with my bare hands! DON'T FUCK WITH THIS WORD CHAMPION!
Realistically the only person at the first tournament of power he had absolutely no chance against was Jackie Chun. Pretty much everyone else up to and including Goku he has a reasonable chance against. Not saying it’s a guaranteed win but he has enough raw skill and strength to hold his own.
Bro punched through a bus, I'm pretty sure he could fucking kill any normal human very easily with just his hands. He would probably turn them into paste.
But let's be honest, if Hercule was in DragonBall instead of DragonBall Z he would actually be considered noteworthy alongside people like Nam. Hercule really is looked down on way too much just because he can't use ki.
It's honestly astounding that Mr. Satan displayed so much courage that while the meme is meant to be comedic, the song genuinely makes the moment even more badass. Maybe it's because Mr. Satan knew it was futile that added to it, but damn.
He knows he's screwed, but still fights to to protect his buddy anyway. Absolute legend. His character development is so underrated and underappreciated.
As weak as Mr. Satan is in the show, there’s one thing you gotta give him credit for. This man witnessed this pink demon destroy demigods and actual gods with little to no effort, and even witnessed it destroy his home planet. And when the time came to defend his friend from the devil, he stepped up to the fucking plate. What a badass.
What I like is that his situration is basically the powercreep of the series in a nutshell. He's actually insanely strong, just that everyone in the more relevant cast is so far beyond superhuman level that his punches are irrelevant.
I absolutely adore the fact that basically all the comments here are all Mr. Satan’s supporters. We are his hype men and women, just like in the actual series.
Fun fact dinnamite kick actually use a real dinnamite... So his legs resist point blank TNT. At least according to xenoverse it does... It's kinda impressive.. plus dude can move has fast has a bullet.. People shit on Yamcha, Hercules etc... But remember Yamcha can solo one punch man, DC and Marvel main universe (not talking about the "one time comics in universe 69 bullshit). DC and Marvel main universe.
For a guy everyone memes on... You gotta respect the man. In terms of non-supernatural people on Earth, he is legitimately the strongest man on the planet. He didn't fake earning his title, he actually is just that good. Of course he's a wimp in the face of things like Cell and the Saiyans.... But what normal human wouldn't? These gods among men firing their land destroying energy beams with the flick of a wrist, flying at speeds unseen.... No wonder he initially thought it was all some sort of act.
Yo, let's unpack what happened here: - He showed his balls of platinum by going against someone who outclassed Vegeta and Goku. - He saw he could buy time to maybe help his friend in exchange for his life. - Mr. Satan gave like 7 kicks before falling back to the ground - Followed up by punches that could move kid Buu If he studied with Mr. Roshi he would've been easily above Krillin or Yamcha (the two strongest humans)
Ok, look, mr satan may be a fraud but the fact that he was willing to fight someone he knew he stood no chance against and put his life on the line just to save his friend speaks volumes of his actual character and warrants respect.
Can i point out that while Satan has no ki training to back up his strikes, buu was actually physically jerking from the force of his strikes. That's the strength of a dude who can pull 3 buses.
This dude will go into a fight knowing with near certainty that he’s going to die, and it’s not even that he’s fearless or that he doesn’t understand. He’s terrified of everything, but he steps up anyway to defend his pink friend, or avenge a dead puppy, or stand up between pregnant videl and the actual god of destruction
Okay so lets be real for a sec, he managed to slightly move him with every punch this means his punches are not entirly uneffective, thats impressive for him.

Kid Buu*
True. With Cell, he didn’t even budge. Mr. Satan probably trained really hard
Yeah, he threw hands with the guy who could erase planets knowing fully that he cannot win. He had balls of steel
Who's Hercule??
At this point in the story, Mr Satan is aware that:
-Gods do exist.

Against a normal fighter that can’t just shoot lasers and fly he’s the best. He’s the world champ for a reason
@@armi999 i read somewhere that his power level is 240,so hed actually be end of dragon ball strong.
@@Garrett8489 just about to say, hed have been a credible match for kid goku pre all the ki stuff
That would arguably be Krillin.
Never forget that even when everything was stacked against him, Mr. Satan stood his ground and chose to fight to defend his friend.
What i love about Satan is how even though he's treated to be a bottom tier in terms of power levels, he still manages to pull off amazing feats and is written amazingly as a character nonetheless
He's a prime example that a character's power level shouldn't be the thing that matters most, it's their writing
And honestly it's really surprising how many DBZ fans would overlook that with alot of other characters in the anime because they aren't as strong as the main cast
Something something power levels are bullshit from tfs
Mr satan manages to be the second weakest in the main cast but the number 1 best character in the series
Damn, I love Satan too
He only comes off as bottom tier because he's being compared to characters that essentially have superpowers. He's a professional martial artist he just has no concept of ki control, among regular people he's probably top tier because he's pretty strong for just a human. So if you were to drop him in a setting like OG Dragon Ball before things get too crazy with ki and other powers he'd probably do pretty well.
Hes a prime example of why dragon ball is bad lmao
