    Thanks JC. Saw your video as I was just needing to get a selection of antennas. I'm just getting into fpv gear so found myself in need of sma and rp-sma to replace all these standard issue dipoles. Ordered 2 rhcp sma, 1 rhcp rp-sma, 2 lhcp sma, 1 lhcp rp-sma kits and two covers. $53 with free shipping and came with two free jigs! First one took me an hour following your video and figuring stuff out and I'm an average solderer. With two jigs it's a relaxing 10 minutes to crank out 2 antennas and allow things to cool. Just waiting on my rf power meter to arrive so I can test them and my transmitters!
    Enjoying your channel!

      Hey JC, I was a proud papa when I saw Josh Bardwell's antenna review, Farvew Pagoda did so well. Got some more on order to make for friends.
      What is your patch antenna recommendation?
      Any DIY patches?

    Great build video JC. I see you have a heap of videos and I am slowly working my way through them. You give a good perspective on the topics you cover. Keep up the great work. Dave

    Excellent video JC. I didn't know these kits were out there. I'll be looking into it. Thanks

      I'm liking them so far. They have a good mix of low cost, high durability, and good performance. I bought 10ft of RG402 coax off amazon, 10 connectors, and then just bought the PCBs off Farvew for $5 each. Seems to be the cheapest way to go.

    I just ordered the kit. thanks for the video.

    We do suggest keeping the receiver the spec length of 90mm or longer, however the transmitter could be shortened to 30mm from the bottom PCB to the end of the SMA

      I do have to point out that CA glue, aka cyanoacrylate, is super glue. You used a more conventional glue there, I am almost positive is Aileen's Tacky Glue, and there is nothing wrong with that; but cyanoacrylate works great on 3D printed stuff.

    What's up brother all your videos are helping to s especially with the turnigy videos. The weather has been terrible here so been looking at tiny whoop alternatives and seen the eachine aurora 90 can you do a video for a complete setup with that one using turnigy evolution. Would help greatly

      That does look like an awesome micro sized indoor build. Every now and then Banggood lets me do reviews and products so I'll try to get my hands on one.

    What is the difference between these and "normal" circular polarized antennas?

    • @DaRoach5882
      @DaRoach5882 8 лет назад +2

      Patrick Reddy the largest advantage of these is how perfect their radiation pattern is. also their ability to reject opposite polarization is much better.
      and not to mention they are much tougher

    • @midorrscloudsong4860
      @midorrscloudsong4860 8 лет назад +1

      another thing besides the perfekt polarisation pattern is that the third plate. Due to this plate the cable doesn't act like a Dipole antenna and hence, just have circular polarized radiation (what you whant to have).

    Hey,
    how important is the lengths of the coax-cable? How long it must be? or doesn't matter?

    • @divadonroda5
      @divadonroda5 7 лет назад

      René Horstmann We do suggest keeping the receiver the spec length of 90mm or longer, however the transmitter could be shortened to 30mm from the bottom PCB to the end of the SMA

    How 'bout a vac formed Lexan protective cover. Cheaper, lighter, stronger, faster to manufacture (could pull +/- 100 at a time), clear (can see inside or paint to any color), thinner (less interference of signal)??? ;)

    Does the coax have to be that long? Is the rp-sma version harder to put on? Also what is the weight diff between this and say the tbs triumph?

    qustion, i had some solder flow from one pcb to the next one, is that going to affect performance ?

    • @ProjectBlueFalcon
      @ProjectBlueFalcon  7 лет назад +1

      No thats fine. Happens on every one of mine. If anything that would just add strength having both sides of the PCB soldered.

    hi i'm new to this. what is the deference with the RHCP and LHCP? left hand right hand?

    • @ProjectBlueFalcon
      @ProjectBlueFalcon  8 лет назад

      Yep. Left and right hand. The idea is that if there are multiple people flying at the same time, you can alternate antennas. Someone on say 5700 could use right hand, another on 5750 uses left hand, then a right hand on 5800, left on 5850 and so on. That way you someone elses video wont bleed onto yours as bad.

    you can make those antennas for less Thank $1 a pop. if you are willing to ordre the Pcb in bulk. i made about 100 and sold them for $14,99 wich gives me a profit of almost $14 pr. antenna.
