Glad it was helpful! the main reason I do it is to prime the nib and feed so that I can start writing immediately. Then I just refill it so that I have as much ink as possible.
I have this pen, and reviewed it on my channel. Luckily, I had built up some reward points with Goldspot Pens and didn't have to pay the full price. I love my pen and the ink and the entire space theme. I think this ink; swatched; looks like the night sky.
FWP really knocked it out of the park. So did Esterbrook. Both their esthetics came together fantastically. I only wish they’d offered one of the custom grinds (journaler, etc) as an option with the engraved nib.
Great video. Thank you for the review. I wanted this pen until I found out the price I could not justify it. There is nothing new here. Sadly this pen launched right after the Narwhal LA edition which is also a diamond cast with a very similar color palette. Then I felt the laser engraving on the nib and clip were a bit lazy, at $350 there is no internal filling mechanism or a gold nib, and to consider this Esterbrook model sells for $176. This is double that price - ouch. It wasn't about spending the dollars but more so the value for those dollars, for the same reason I only have 1 Sailor in my collection.
I totally understand your position. Assuming you have the money, even then it's at a value point where you have to justify why you should get it, not why you shouldn't.
Thanks for the reply. It's a beautiful pen and when it comes to Ferris Wheel Press it can be hard to have self control, LOL. I am sure their next pen will be equally beautiful and sought after. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing your channel grow :)
I was going to pass til a lady in our pen club brought hers out and I fell in love. Mines in the mail and I got a stub nib! A beautiful pen with an Esterbrook nib! I also love Ferris Wheel inks and do not understand why you cannot stick a pen in their bottle and fill it!!! LOOOOL......
It’s soooo pretty!
They got me!
Brilliant move to push a drop out of the nib and then fill the converter all the way - I learned something new so thank you!

I think they have different sized bottles.
@@sandfly60 they do but I have to use a syringe for both sizes since the neck of the bottle is too small
😆
I um-ed and aah-ed too long and missed out. Le sigh
My regret is passing on the Bauhaus blue Lamy 2000.
@@pensinfocus well, I’ve managed to find a Nebulous Plume and it’s on its way, so I truly hope you get the Bauhaus Lamy you want. 🤞🏻🙏🏻
