hello, congratulations for the excellent fishing videos, I'm from the Cascais area, and I do coastal spinning, these areas have been referenced by me for a long time, I've been many times on those dirt roads looking for places to unload to the sea, but I still haven't been able to find safe places to go down, could you tell me a few places where you had access to the beach, because these places, besides being isolated and little frequented, have the ideal conditions for capturing good specimens, mine thank you and continuation of good videos and excellent fishing
Hi Grant love the videos.Grant I’m one of these people who can’t lay on a beach so the good lady and I struggle to go on a summer holiday I’ve been looking for a place to go where I can disappear for a few hours to chuck a lure out .Obviously I don’t want marks but if you could guide me on an area where I might stand a chance of catching around June time which is not the best month I know but it would keep me occupied Tight lines Thanks Danny
I've been to the Algarve and tried to fish a few times. Never caught anything that size. Well done. Don't think this is the Algarve, cause its a visually different landscape. The surroundings look more volcanic rock than yellow/orange sandstone? Still, very well done, I'm envious.

Thanks, Albufeira is on the south coast, I’m sure it’s possible for bass on the right day with the right conditions but generally closer to Sagres is better fishing
Not sure if you are reading these posts a year later but I am in Porto right now trying to obtain a fishing licence... Come from Germany and have tried the multibanco but that is proving quite difficult to navigate... Any suggestions, was also told the controls are very lax and I don't have to worry about a permit? Thanks in advance
Foreign visitors cannot get a licence from a multibanco only Portuguese nationals , you can purchase online from DGRM or visit one of their regional offices in person, online you need to open an account with BMAR to verify your identity and allows you to purchase whatever licence you require by filling in the form and provide proof of payment into their account which I did from the UK by means of an international bank payment. I did it this week and it cost me €8 for the year , I'm pretty useless online but managed to bumble my way through, at least I could select English which helped no end. The licence arrived online within days. I would advise people to get a licence as I witnessed a foreign fisherman get all his equipment confiscated and receive a hefty fine a few of years ago, I was also checked the same time and relieved I had taken an hour long bus journey into the local office to purchase a license that week.
Hello my friend...I'm a great fan of your videos but there's One thing That i need to ask you...i leave in the East Coast in the Algarve where there's no rocks and the sea floor it's only sand very different the places on the West Coast...do you think this lures Will be effective in this waters?
Hi Paulo, thanks glad you like the video. They will be effective in the east coast providing you get the right bass conditions. I have fished a lot on the sandy south coast and I find at low tide when a swell is running is for sure the best (can vary on location) but bass come in with these type of waves rolling along and provided you have these conditions and bass are about you will do well! Good luck!👍

You should check it out, it would suit your fishing style having seen most of your vids. Hire a local with a 4x4 and you have miles and miles of beech and reef to explore.

Did you ever get asked to produce a license. I’m in the Algarve at the moment and was told yesterday that I need a license to fish from the shore. WTF? Never heard of such BS.
I never been asked! I reckon if your around towns it could be risky! You can get one from the multibanco , but yes its a pain in the butt if you havnt got a bank card
In portimao you go to the fisheries department and you pay cash for a tourist license that lasts a year I got shore and boat licence for 50 euros as I'm fishing from the kayak as well and they wasn't sure what licence I needed takes 10 minutes you need passport and cash

It was closed due to it being a feast day, however, I rang a number and the officer told me that I did not need a license, being a summer tourist. I’m going to Tavira next July. If you have any tips I would appreciate them. Tight lines!
Better to have a lincese if you want to avoid you and your rod finishing in the police station. You can got it by internet. Just make the bank transfer and they will sent to you a-one year license to your mobile pionero. It si only 8 euros.

there are bass all the way up the coastline, south coast and west coast. Head for areas with reef and swell

Inwould ask a local to help at multibanco, as it’s in Portuguese, otherwise try here at the DGRM online

I will be in two weeks near Lisbon (Carcavelos) do you think it is possible to catch a sea bass there?
yes for sure! look on google earth for spots with some reef. Ive not fished that are but bass are all along the coastline! Good luck!
