I imagine all props for QI have to be sanitised before and after the show.

And some of them can only be returned with repeated apologies, like the time Alan used a very old saw on the desk.

I have quite a few watch-repair (& jewellery-making) tools that would baffle the panel!
Wait, we didn't see what the blue corkscrew was for.
And it wasn't for corks, I can tell you that.
It's for opening your mouth if you have lock jaw I believe.

In all fairness though, it does look like a buttplug.
Item #3 is aptly titled an Oral Screw. Placed in the clenched jaws of someone & then turned. Allows med staff to open clenched teeth and aspirate the airway if needed. 😮
One of the fastest ways to open a mouth is to flash a bare chest in front of the person whose mouth you wish to open; works almost every time. ;)

I worked in a hospital, yes they called that a Jennings mouth prop and there were 3-4 sizes.

Its a good thing Ive got iptv. The show isnt on in Australia and the videos are no longer available on RUclips. By the time the local affiliate gets their hands on series U it will be long over.

If it's not on in Australia how have I been watching it on tv all these years?
I've had one of those (the one Alan had) stuck in my mouth when the orthodontist did a mold of my teeth. Not a fun experience, the mold really makes you feel like you're choking.
Typical British show where no one even considered mentioning sex toys.
