    Jimmy Butler is known to be a lot of things...a hard-worker, an incredible athlete, and sometimes...a drama queen. Since leaving the Bulls, he couldn't find a stable home in the NBA. A short stint with the Wolves and Sixers didn't suit him very well, but with Miami - it looks like he found a home. Hope you enjoy the video!

      when he's with Minnesota and Philadelphia all of he's teammates didn't compliment each other. • @ChiseledAdonis
    @ChiseledAdonis 3 года назад +168

    The problem with the current culture in sports is that if somebody isn't scoring the highest points or they're not a media darling they've somehow either fallen off, overrated or non conducive to winning. Miami has everything to do with culture, if you look at their teams over the course of the past 20 years they've always had gritty blue collar, hard-working guys who are all willing to get dirty while pouring out MAXIMUM EFFORT. That's literally all Miami stands for... EFFORT.
    Nearly everybody overlooked Miami except real Heat fans; too often do people get lost in the bright lights & forget the core to winning basketball. That's TEAM basketball & miami's team philosophy is just that. They'll be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

Actually, none of them still believe Miami will be in the finals other than Kendrick Perkins. That's real brah

    As a Bulls fan, Jimmy has always been that guy. He's always instantly elevated the teams he plays on and brings a no-bullshit culture singlehandedly. He plays to win, and I hope the Heat can pull off the impossible and go all the way so he gets a ring.

  • @gabortiz3229

    As a Heat fan, I always admired Jimmy ever since he was on the Bulls especially after knowing his life story. He always reminded me of Wade with his Playoff performances and play style with the finishing and mid-range jumpers. Him coming to the Heat, because he was inspired by Wade, brought nothing but excitement to me for this season’s Miami Heat team. Whether they reach the Finals or not, I already consider them successful because no one expected them to come this far especially the “analysts” who thought he only wanted the warm weather and lifestyle and not to win.
    Salute to Pat Riley and Wade for bringing Jimmy to South Beach. The Culture only gets better every year, hopefully the trophy comes back to Biscayne Boulevard soon because of this man. Bad teammate and locker room cancer my ass.

      Soft guys and weak minded fellows may think that a rough around the edges guy who values high effort and a winning mentality as maybe "mean", or even maybe they'd consider him "locker room cancer". Jimmy was probably trying to bust asses in those Minnesota and Philly locker rooms, but those boys don't understand what it means to really win and couldn't take it. Jimmy has a solid group of guys who think this way now, due in part to those Miami Heat traditions for effort and camaraderie.

    I’ve followed Butler his entire career and I’ve never seen a player improve so much over his career. He consistently exceeds expectations. However, in the past he often entered the playoffs banged up. This unusual year, with the long pandemic shut down, allowed him to finally enter the playoffs at his physical best. The thing is, he still has the mentality of a role player who only dominates scoring when the other team fails to respect his offense. If they double team him he will pass to the open man. If someone else has a better match up he will set his teammate up for success. He knows what it’s like to be the fourth option because he’s been there. M

    If anyone is interested Jimmy Butler explains why he didn't stay with 76ers on 'JJ Reddick Podcast'.
    Basically at one point in time he heard that there were people in the front office asking (someone) about him "can you control him?" and he answered "nah, I'm cool, cause I don't do anything drastically f*cking stupid (...). You good, don't even worry about it. If *that's* what's you're worried about, good luck to y'all".
    I highly reccomend the whole episode, but if you are interested in 76ers stuff, the 10 minute clip is called "Jimmy Butler Reveals What Made Him Leave the Philadelphia 76ers".
