Your family will never forget the days with grandpa and grandma! What precious memories…and you have them all saved for posterity! Yay! Blessings…🥰🥰🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 ,
Much love always from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️. I lost my first ,daughter 34yrs ago and my second , this beautiful family helps me alot. I have 8 children and 6 grandchildren
Violet is always so smiley, just love that darling face, and the boys are all getting so big. Love the work that your dad does with the kids too, so helpful.
Hi Hamm family. Try the Fantasy Fudge recipe on the back of the Kraft jet puffed marshmallow cream. Easy! Better the most other fudge. Michael & Arlo say hi to Luna.
What a wonderful video. It is such a joy to watch your father with all the kids. Teaching them, helping them make their visions come to life and then the smiles from Violet as he holds her. I’m not sure who is going to go through with drawl more when they go back home the kids or the grandparents. Thank you for sharing your family with us ❤
On the container of Kraft marshmallow cream, there’s a fantasy fudge recipe. Follow it exactly, and you will have good fudge. Fudge is tricky. Yours looked good!
I enjoy watching those family projects you have going. Your freeze dryer is amazing and very useful for preserving food. Grandpa sure looks like he's having fun helping out the boys with the snowboard ramp. Grandparents are such a joy to watch and they do come in handy when an extra hand is needed so you can get other things done. Thanks for this video I enjoyed seeing what your family is up to these days. It's never a dull moment when Lauren gets behind the camera and captures family life.
I’m too old now to need a freeze dryer but would really love one. I ordered two types of pickled…sweet and dill freeze dried but the raccoons got them first. Ugh! Have you tried pickles?
Such a blessing having grandparents so close. I’m guessing when they go south for the winter, grandma and grandpa might have Violet and grandson withdrawal.
Thank you for your prayers. We got a nice long, rainy thunderstorm last night. I’m sure that will help anybody in South Central Canada that received this blessing thank you. Take care.
OMG Violet in the thumbnail sitting in her chair! She's growing so fast! She looks so much like Mark! That's so cool that the boys get to work with Grandpa. My Grandma passed away when my Mom was a child but I would have loved the opportunity to cook in the kitchen with her.
Im in the uk. it makes me chuckle that all the people i've seen in the us/canada don't eat the white part of a spring onion.. Most here will eat the white and some of the green and throw away the leaves.
I make a real easy fudge with peanut butter and frosting. 16 oz jar of peanut butter, put in microwave for 1 minute . Then put the frosting in the microwave for 1 minute. Then mix peanut butter and frosting together. Put mixture in a parchment paper lined 9x9 pan. Set in refrigerator till hard. Take out of pan and cut into pieces. Enjoy
Such a lovely family❤❤❤. Thanks for the day in the life. You are an "artist" Lauren. Have a beautiful week. Temperatures coming down in Boise also. Fall in the air in the mornings.
I loved the collage! What a treasure to have the grandparents actively involved in your children’s lives. Your boys are THE best. This has been a lovely video of a nice variety of your family’s life. Thx so much. Susan
Tip to eliminate the “tears” when dealing with onions…Drench a paper towel with water, bunch it loosely, and just lay it on the counter/cutting board right where you’re chopping. Apparently the onion fumes are attracted to the nearest form of water, which is usually your eyes. With the paper towel method, the fumes go to the towel. It does work!!
One of the easiest peanut butter fudge is one jar of peanut butter and one can of vanilla icing (not whipped). Microwave both.. mixed together and pour into a buttered pan…. Yummy…
Oh my goodness when you were looking at Violet through the window with grandpa the resemblance between them both. Shes the spitting image of him. Another great vlog guys. Thanks for taking us along. ❤
LI Loved today's show it had a bit of everything in it. I Love to see how busy the boys stay. How does the freeze drier affect your hydro bill? I Love cilantro, and my daughter can't stand the smell of it. Does Bennett want to be a chef or a baker when he grows up? I love the gmbig smiles Violet has for everybody. Thank you so much for sharing, Lauren. Hugs and Love from Manitoba.
One of my favorite memories with my grandma was us making fudge late at night it never set and got hard so we ate it all with a spoon and no one knew lol
Have Bennett try three ingredients fudge 2 cups chocolate chips 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 can sweet condensed milk microwave for 30 second at a time till all combined then chill good luck
Miss Violet is a little cutie in whatever you dress her in but I particularly love her in violet. She looks even more beautiful if that’s possible. Love your videos and family. ❤️
Aww your boys are growing up. I have a 20 year old and let me tell you it’s hard to see them grow so fast. But it is bitter sweet especially when they becomes God fearing and helpful around the house!!
Hi Lauren, always enjoy your videos! This is just a little advice to your son the candy maker, weather can make a difference. In my experience you want to make your fudge on a dry sunny day. I would have your son research making fudge and the weather.
Google the recipe for "Fantasy Fudge"! It is much easier & turns out great. What a little chef you have! Seeing your Mom & Dad with the kids always makes me happy. What great memories for all & such fantastic lessons taught by Mark & Grandpa. Miss Violet is such a baby doll & you can tell ypur Mom loves every minute. Thanks for another fun, educational, and enjoyable vlog! ❤ Much love from Indiana
The boys and grandpa built a really cool ramp and i'm sure they will have fun with that in a couple of months !! I wish i could gift my parents a freeze dryer but it is too expensive at the moment. You've shown some cool options with how it can be used. Nice that the boys could bowl and that Miss Violet was there too cheer her brothers on !! Cool Summer collage art work !! ❤
That is so nice that your dad gets involved in helping the boys making a project for snowboarding. Great memories. I wish I had room for a freeze dryer. I would be putting up so much food from our garden. Have a wonderful day. God Bless.
Awesome that your kids are building things and shining the rocks, such cool activities you don’t see a lot of kids doing. I really liked your collage you made also!
Re: funnel. I’ve also seen people take those bendy plastic totes and dump trays into them. Then they can bend them to form a “funnel” into the jars or bags😊
Loved seeing your dad working with the boys and holding Violet. So sweet. Good job on the fudge Bennett. My mom would make fudge for us when I was a young girl. It never hardened up so we always had to eat it with a spoon. It still tasted so yummy though. I am 68yo and mom is 87. We still talk about it at times. Thanks for bringing up wonderful memories of my childhood
A relatively simple fudge recipe can be found on the side of a sweetened condensed milk or a can of evaporated milk... don't remember which or if both, the Carnation brand. You might be able to Google the recipe. A recipe requiring cooking on the stove can be tricky. Be sure to use a candy thermometer, it will help a lot. As a first time, not too bad since the taste is good so just cut it up and eat it like a Tootsie roll. Trust me, if my Grandma and Mom hadn't been teaching me from a very young age, around four or five, I would not have done well either. Good luck for next time.
Cilantro is great with carne asada marinade. I use skirt steak. Bunch of cilantro, onion powder, 2 grated garlic cloves, zest and juice of 1 lime, juice of 1 orange, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Cover meat with marinade and put in fridge for 2 hours then grill!
Hello Family!" How are things going? For what I seen you all are staying busy.Theres home maid chocolate cooking up. Which looks yummy. Then all the freeze dry going on. Onions, & cilantro. When you all went bowling the kids seemed to enjoyed themselves.Even Violet . How many months is Violet now.She is growing up so well and looks like a very happy baby. Your so blessed. Have a wonderful week ahead and stay safe. Until your next video.😊
Gosh the berry picking brings back memories! I lived in Homer from age 7 to age 10. We'd pick berries outside while we played. I remember watermelon berries, too!
a really easy cheater fudge that you can change the flavors is 2 ingredients.... 1 pkg of chocolate chips (or any flavor?) and 1 tub of cake frosting (start with chocolate and experiment from there). Melt in microwave together. Put in pan. Done. It doesn't exactly teach a new cooking skill other than easy is really really nummy too!
Bennett, please try the Eagle brand Sweet Condensed milk fudge recipe, it’s easy, delicious. It’s semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt, opt. Nuts, using the microwave and refrigerator. Key is not over melting the chocolate in the microwave. Do small amounts of time, check & stir, until melted. Putting fudge on parchment.
Did you ever tried to make Brazilian food Google on RUclips make a typical Brazilian food and try it and see if your family likes it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lauren you remind me so very much of my Aunt when she was your age. I'm 62 and she was like 8 years younger than me and though I only got to see her only a few times she made a big impression in my life. Sadly I've lost contact with her. She lived in Fairbanks for many years along with my grandmother and other family member. I got to go two times and loved it both times. Very very beautiful place to see.
Y’all had tons of fun on your rainy days!! Bennett will be your chef, always making something good!! Hunter has been very talented with his project. Glad Grandpa is so helpful. Your parents really enjoy the kiddos!! Violet is such a happy baby! So darn cute !! 💙🩷💙💙💙💙🩷
Making old fashioned Fudge is so tricky! I’ve been making it for over 35 years and I still on occasion have a fail. I have learned it just cannot be made on a humid day, even in an air conditioned house. It always turns into a grainy mess, or never hardens at all. Still tastes good so if that happens I remelt the batch over low heat, stirring constantly, adding water or milk, and turn it into a sauce for pouring over ice cream. Hopefully next time it comes out perfect!
Trying to rediscover my creativity now as an adult. I love how you are so encouraging and supporting of your kids trying new ideas and projects (even as simple as baking and trying new recipes) by themselves
Yes, she's quite talented. How about making one every year, copy it and then transfer to cloth which could be made into something like either a wall hanging or table cloth all pieced together with summery fabrics.
with green onions , you can actually regrow them , I buy from the store and cut them down , put in water and cont.. to cut as they grow , then when the roots start filling the jar im using i then plant in a small container and continue to harvest the cuttings until the onion dies back , i air dry all my cuttings for use later , store in air tight container .
Good Evening from Australia Just when I was thinking of your raspberries it came up ! Do you fteeze dry these at all .Am looking at purchasing a freeze drier to take back to nz so am following this with interest 😊
Hi! I think Miss Violet resembles Everett so much, especially through the eyes. I so enjoy your channel. Prayers and best wishes. lol I collect items about my favorite animal the orca.. I wish my area in NY could get your 9 grain bread. Everytime it seems to catch my eye. 😊

The memories your Children are making with their Grandparents is so special!
I love these videos when you so generously share your Alaska life with us!
Our family is in the “cilantro is soap” camp😉

How fun to have my morning coffee with your family! Blessed!!
Good morning Lauren and Mark and Miss Violet and boys and thank you for sharing your beautiful day ❤

Your children are a joy. I hope their school year gets off to a great start. I wish all the children I work with had great parents like you and Mark!
Good morning, Lauren and family! I hope you guys have a blessed day!
Your children are so lucky to have hands on grandparents. 😊
How great when you find new ways to keep food longer. You can tell Violet loves her brothers and is so happy.
Thank you for your prayers. We got a nice long, rainy thunderstorm last night. I’m sure that will help anybody in South Central Canada that received this blessing thank you. Take care.

That's so cool that the boys get to work with Grandpa. My Grandma passed away when my Mom was a child but I would have loved the opportunity to cook in the kitchen with her.
First daughter always resemble the father..
This is so funny. In my area we cut the green tops off and use the white bottom and up part way.
Similar here in MN too!
Someone has Grandpa's smile 😊
Im in the uk. it makes me chuckle that all the people i've seen in the us/canada don't eat the white part of a spring onion.. Most here will eat the white and some of the green and throw away the leaves.
Just what I was thinking too.
My dad LOVED spring onions and would eat a small plate of them at supper. He even would pull and eat wild onions!
I’m in us and I eat all parts of the green onion.
What I don't know anyone who doesn't use all except roots of the spring onion!! USA
some people i wastch use tray lids so they stack up i love the white bit of the onion in salads
Thanks for sharing with us!❤🙂
Violet is so like Everett when he was in your earlier vlogs 💜 ☺
Hi Lauren. Violet is so beautiful .the boys are so good with her❤

Do you have a sound machine. It works to keep the babies and or mothers(🤣) asleep.
Best fudge is on the side of a marshmallow crème jar.

Violet and your entire family will Grandma and Grandpa when they head south. But wow what amazing memories.
Re: funnel. I’ve also seen people take those bendy plastic totes and dump trays into them. Then they can bend them to form a “funnel” into the jars or bags😊

Cilantro dislike is a genetic thing. It's not just a like or dislike.

You have a water fountain in your house? Too cool 😎!! Hugs and love to all and scratches and pets to Ms. Luna♥️♥️
My mother always swore that you could not make fudge in rainy weather. Actually or divinity but I can’t personally swear to that.
Too much humidity in the air. Rainy days are great for baking bread!

A marble rolling pin is great for making fudge and pastry. You can pop it in the fridge before you start.
