thank you so much for the break down at the end!
ive had a hard time finding that info before starting. and was so confused on how to make a door but yours really helped with ideas.....
    what size is the footprint?
(i didnt know if it was 8×16 like your lumber sizes or if you cut off that length for use elsewhere.)

Thank you for showing the exact size of lumber I am going to build one for 10 turkeys ...also why do people have such a hard time raising them? I have great experience with 🐥 chicks with no loses but I check on them every two hours for the first two weeks 😁 and will do same for my turkey chicks do you have advice for me?

How tall is the coop at the highest point. Definitely want to replicate this for our new flock of ducks, turkeys and chickens.

John Navolis The coop is about 6 feet tall. As a side note...We ended up having to bolt 2x4s to the sides to create a stronger mechanism to pull it. It pulled ok when it was dry, but once there was mud involved it needed some reinforcement:)

Thanks so much for sharing your idea Sunset Sky Farm! Did you use linoleum or contact paper inside the coop?

I am going to build one of these for. The turkeys I want to try raising I have a meat chic leanto but not wanting to raise my turkeys in there this will be better for my turkeys as they are not like Cornish cross chickens . Thank you for showing what you did

I really wanted to watch this video but because someone doesn't know how to run their camera and they turn the camera vertical instead of horizontal......
All you get is this little narrow picture instead of a full screen!

Right? Aren’t we assholes… haha… sorry we were newbies. Just trying to capture the process. Some of our other videos we made the same mistake. Thanks for pointing it out :)

Great idea! Did you line the flooring with linoleum or contact paper?

Jennifer Navolis We used sheet vinyl from Home Depot. It is like 30$ for the whole 5x8 roll :) It cleans really easily. One thing we would do differently next time is to make it possible to open the entire back so we could clean it really good once per year. We attached the hardware cloth using zip ties on the back and made it so the inside front comes off. It still works but the back opening would be easier to use. Thanks for watching!!

That is super helpful, thanks so much! We did plan a back door out for ours (I have short arms) 😄.
Thanks again for sharing this idea. It really inspired us! We have 8 chickens, 2 turkey poults, 2 ducks- week three in our house in a big dog kennel. So excited to get them outside as we have no barn/garage. Blessings!

Can you post a second video with more detail to the build and review on the build? & do you think it could be pulled easier if it had wheels in the rear?
