- Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.
The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.
Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

Since SDN is run by SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST, all the productions of SDN, be it music or dance, become intellectual property of the Trust. Sridevi Nrithyalaya Trust (SDNT) owns all the productions and will not allow anyone to download or use SDN videos/audios, even if it is meant for non-commercial purposes.
With able legal guidance, our team works meticulously in curbing audios/videos of Sridevi Nrithyalaya that have been used in unauthorized ways and uploaded on social media. Though we do not put up copyright declarations in all our videos, we strictly adhere to legal formalities and procedures regarding copyrights.
We work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded on our social platforms solely to take our art to all those rasikas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.
It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all, for sure. Our productions uploaded on social media platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
SDNT has unanimously arrived at this decision and therefore, SDN or any individual from SDN would not be able to grant anyone permission to reproduce any of our works.
All the productions of Sridevi Nrithyalaya are intellectual properties (Aural & Visual) of SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST solely. Any person or channel infringing our copyright policies (which are mentioned in the description box in our RUclips videos) will be given a 'copyright strike' which we might not be able to redeem at any cost.

Mam. I am from Madurai. Being a boy, I was thought our Indian martial arts of Silambam and Kuthuvarisai.
I have great affinity towards all our ancient arts and sciences. I had always wanted to learn Bharathanatiyam in my childhood days but was (made to) shy to ask some one teach bharatham.
Now I am 25 and I know, I can't learn now. But I am happy to see the great work you are doing in taking this art to next generation.
My sincere suggestion is please reach out to many childrens and of both sex, at least in early stage.
I pray to Natarajar to bless you all in your future growth.
Why not, if you have time and will you still can learn any classical dance.

Jai Shri Ram. Its a bliss to see these girl children practice Natya Vidya. I have seen this same video so many times but its very refreshing to see it every time. May the divine rays of the DivyaDrushti of Sage BharatMaha Muni fall on these beautiful and dainty young girl children such that they blossom into ethereal dancers of the future and in turn uplift the true seekers into brahmananda. I convinced that Bharatanatyam has this inbuilt potential.
