Dude use the HE shell. It one shots most tank to the turret, including the maus ( The m48 and some russians give you trouble because volumetric). This and the Starship are two of my favourite HE slingers in the game after the 2S3 and the M109's.
HEAT only works on flat angles which is the primary issue. it's especially prone to getting gaijined on any slight angle but ATGMs work effectively the same, only they're far more forgiving with angles. m60a1 has this exact same issue being the exact same gun and ammo types. that and unlike the m60a1, m551 doesn't get the laser rangefinder that actually makes HEAT useful

One of my favorite light tanks, but you're using it the wrong way. Load all ATGMs, save them for when you're out of all other ammo, go 50/50 on HEAT and HE, be a man and load HE for all threats that aren't heavily armored and get good at guessing range. Don't forget to include basketball landing in the net with buzzer sound effect when you land a long distance HE or HEAT shot and of course metal pipe hitting the ground sound effect when you obliterate someone with HE first shot from over pressure. Also Wedding Song (Skull)
m551 and m60a2 starship combo is HE for short range and Missile is for big sniping map. HE work alot wonder over HEAT. treat those two like artillery tank play style...fire once, wait and hide

Sheridan was my favourite light vehicle in the US 8.0 lineup, the missile was the greatest thing about this vehicle including when the booster burnt out and it became almost invisible. Now since the changes I rarely touch it nowadays and prefer the M60A2 by a mile.

Man I wish the 152 was actually good, missle is sad after nerf and the Heat does next to no damage. At least it's bearable on the Starship with the laser range finder

It's usually a very quiet rev sound followed by or following putputputputput as APDS shreds your barrel and pixel weakspots. It's such a specific noise that I hear it and cringe. It's extra fun when a particularly annoying BTR absorbs machineguns you know went through. I am playing this M109 copy pasta fiesta and getting non-penetration killed by rifle bullets (the fuq, I know), and then this 8mm BTR shit is drinking 50cals from the hose like mountain spring tap water.

It's so quiet I snuck up on a Tigor 2 105 (which is almost always a super sweaty player) and then a Pandur 2 and Kugel Blitz. Their CAS threw the game staying up making angry sounds while I looped the center building. Nuke SP earned, but I never use that "I win" garbage.
If you don't know M551 is a rubbish thing in Vietnam War when RPG-7 Soviet Anti-Tank Weapon can kill it easy, while each soldier of the liberation army got one ( Very easy to dead )
This was the first vehicle i *almost* got a nuke in, 9 kills an 8 assists, full uptier aswell, i wasnt paying attention and got in the jag and the the round ended
Sheridan is a stinker at that br, avoid it and get m60 and starship, the latter being much better than sheridan because of armour and laser rangefinder so u can use heat reliably.
I play WT and WoT Blitz, and I practiced with Sheridan and other ATGM vehicles in WT only to find out that the missiles range in WT is over 5x the range of it in WoT, and you can't back up behind cover while still aiming the missile. To say the least; if you do the right thing in WT with missiles, you will just waist them trying to do the same in WoT. This video should have been called "If Sheridan was accurate in WoT".
I HATED playing the Sheridan, whoever was like "this should be the same BR as the Bradley" should be flogged, this should've been like .3/.7 below. Dollar store HEAT that sucks, no armor, long ass ATGM reload, the only thing going for it is thats a "bit fast"

If I am not wrong, you can still control the missile using the Commander sight and just hold click at the target
I did, but that was back when it was 8.0, I don't know if it's been patched.
There is another way… you can control the missile from the mg now
you can control the missile but i tested by activating the commander's firing mode

don't know if you noticed, but loading ATGMS take longer than standard ammunition so in urban/close range fight is better to not use rockets :)

I've had some really cool kills with the Sheridan. Conversely, I've also had some moments of *REAL* WTF moments with those missiles.
