Always happens to me when Im playing Minecraft (Edit) for those who lag out when you go to change your skin just get into your world first wait for about 30 seconds and then change your skin.
It’s a major pain. Has happened to me three times this week while playing Baldurs Gate. I need to save every 10 minutes otherwise I end up losing a lot of playtime.
This recently started happening to me. The first time the game was loading and the screen never came back up. The second time it said something about a connection error even though I was playing a physical game. The 3rd and 4th this same screen came up after I saved my game in Okami. Idk what's up it's a brand new switch lite.
This happened to me while I was playing Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 a few times. Lucky for me, the game autosaves whenever you clear a campaign stage, so it wasn't that big of a deal. It's just annoying that it keeps happening every few hours or so.

Just in case someone else comes here for Switch Minecraft... I tried everything, reformatting the sd card - as that's where minecraft was originally installed... reinstalling on the reformatted sd card and also on the system memory... still crashed. Tried clearing all data through the system memory options... still crashed. Tried shutting off the system tried it all and multiple times /combinations. Nothing fixed it. What was the problem? My daughter can't use her account. I had to run it from my account... didn't want to sign in to test so I chose run offline - she's been playing it now for about 25 minutes. Now I suppose I need to go to Nintendo and start a ticket because something with her account is messed up? What a pain. I hope this helps someone!
This happens to me while I’m playing literally every game, not just Minecraft. My Xbox crashed maybe once a month, and my switch crashes 3-5 times a day on a variety of games.
Did you ever got it resolver/fixed? I've heard the warrancy covers that. It happened to me today with pokemon sword and lets go eevee (haven't tried botw) and the support person told me to sent it to the repair centre
I got my hero one's justice for my birthday recently and the error message popped up whenever i tried to launch the game. I bought it digitally to see if that would work but the same thing happened and I just can't get it to work. Yay. Edit: the game just magically works now so that's nice

Don’t know if anyone can help here, but I just got a replacement Switch for my old one that Nintendo couldn’t repair a few days ago. Within less than 2 hours of use, it froze, made a noise and turned my switch off. After when it got working again, I got an error message that read “the software closed because an error occurred”, without an error code. This only occurs while docked. Has anyone here had this issue before? Is there a fix that doesn’t involve sending it to Nintendo? (Don’t wanna risk losing save data like what happened the first time I sent a switch in)
this happens to me sometimes while I'm playing Minecraft, but only when it's docked. I've never had any problems with it while in handheld mode, and all games (Super Mario Odyssey, Minecraft, Fortnite, etc.) run smoothly, but whenever I dock it down I can't play games for long. It might be my TV (it's kinda old oops) but it upsets me since I bought my Switch yesterday. Does anyone know a possible fix? :(

Just solved this issue for Minecraft! (I’m playing it via a game card) So, a week or so ago I got this game for Christmas. My brother boight it for me brand new, and it worked smoothly until a couple days ago, where I could get into the game, but when I tried to load a world, it would come up with that message. What I did was I took the chip out of my switch, made sure everything was closed, then restart my switch (Long press on the power and it’ll come up with a fee options- press restart). After I powered it back on, I put the chip back in, and the game is now working fine. I hope this helps a bit.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition seems to be pretty unstable on the Switch. I’ve had the game crash to the HOME Menu multiple times while playing, crash while trying to close it, and it even crashed my Switch completely once.
Don’t worry everyone it’s a server issue, everyone’s game is fine as playing in air plane mode works. Anyone who wants to play local can do so but at the current moment the Nintendo switch servers for mk11 are down.

Yo I noticed since 2019 this problem has been occurring with certain games (released in 2019 and after) I thought it was my console, so I purchased a newer one. Same issue...I can't figure out if its the game or the console by this point. This happens with carts as well as digital releases.

I always making backups of my world, just in case. The world can get corrupted if minecraft closes while autosave is saving.

It’s been happening a lot to me when I was playing Sonic colors ultimate. How I got it to work was uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
I literally can’t open Minecraft, because it shows this message when the game is starting to load.

I get crashes on Witcher 3 and Baldur's Gate on cartridge crashing, the rest of my games are digital and no problem with those.
Same thing is happening to me with skyrim. All the normal saves and quick saves work but none of the autos work.
This happened to me this morning with MK11 during the startup loading screens. I had to archive and redownload it. So far, so good.

Make sure you're not using the online features. It's always crashed whenever I used customization.

I got this on Link's Awakening. But only in Undocked mode... Docked mode works fine. Very strange.

Dont play skyrim on switch. I borrowed a skyrim game and played it once. Then i re inserted octopath and boom i crashes 2 to 3 times per game.
