@@3184Patrick you’re making the mistake of thinking solar replaces gas. It doesn’t. It’s a parallel system because gas will always be needed as a backup. This adds cost, it doesn’t reduce cost. Batteries are not feasible at grid scale yet. We don’t have the capacity to make enough of them, and they’re an inefficient use of resources. Some day in the future batteries WILL be appropriate for grid-scale backup, but we’re not there yet.
@@superspeeder I 100% disagree, Gas is not needed anymore at all once we go full scale solar and battery. Grid scale batteries are already going online all over the world.
