It makes me wonder if in the original concept, the choices you made in the story were supposed to effect future missions, such as Arquebus being more prepared for your arrival in Steal the Survey Data, thus the much larger force and the strategic chokepoints / barriers.

Was disappointed when I found out the game didn’t have branching story missions, or even altered missions based on what order you do them in. Would’ve been really cool

There are alternative missions once you complete the base game; some of the missions change the outcome of the game’s story.

@@GregTheWarlockKing I mean, in an option where you have two missions to choose from and neither of them branch the story (so you have to do them both,) each mission changes depending on WHICH one you do first kind of thing. Attacking somewhere else first results in the other place having greater defenses, for instance, but doing it in reverse might make the second mission easier for in-lore reasons.

@@GregTheWarlockKing but that whole ng+ thing is lackluster when u realize that just doing all the new missions gives u the new ending and missing one means you dont. plus in base game only one actual decision matters which is what i was referring to

I do appreciate these behind the scene type videos that explore the files that we don't see. This feels like an alternative mission where Arqebus ambushes the player as they were tipped off somehow. x_x

I'm sure someone's gonna come along and mod the pulse gear to look golden like the old photo concepts

looks like the leaked pixelated pictures from long ago before AC6 was announced, the honeycomb section is what jogged my memory.

Very interesting how this sorta “beta level” was kept in the game of all missions, maybe there was some event that they had to remake the mission from scratch?

Maybe the heavy warship has the troops in the back hangar of it? They might be stored in there to make it easier to spawn them in there because that’s where they deploy from.but you should check the back of the heavy warship behind the thrusters and near the bottom

@@maybebirbYou may be seeing enemies in that display as a result of that area being used for 3 different missions; for all you know you’re seeing the enemies from “Data Survey”, “Neutralize the HC and LC units”, etc.

@@GregTheWarlockKing Nope, not how missions work.
A mission loads 3 maps- Environment, Mission, and Collision. In this instance, I'd only loaded the Environment and Mission in the viewport, so all I was seeing was the environment and the enemies specifically set to appear on that mission.
It's decently common for there to be more enemies in the viewport than one usually sees in-game, as many are linked to specific events and therefore don't spawn until said event is triggered
