Another great season looking forward to number 3 I am definitely going to nick some of your routes for this years walking absolutely brilliant rounds said it before best channel on RUclips for me 👍👍
I do have a fondness for Wansfell. Don’t know whether it’s because it was one of the first we walked or because it seems like a last stand of the higher fells that looks out onto the southern chocolate box area of the Lakes. Looking forward to the Central season, reckon it’s going to be much more busy. Thanks again Glen 👍
Another shift done! Chilled, taken on the hills and chilled by yr video as always! Ive said before, yr videos are class and are defo BBC material! Above all they inspire!
Nice end to Season 2 with Finneaus! I like the pub finishes as well (it's the law!) and great see pubs in different areas that I haven't tried yet. Really looking forward to Season 3 in the central lakes as Langdale was my introduction to the Lake District many moons ago in the Scouts. Loved it ever since then.
Sunday lunchtime, book in, hit the road for Wansfell, get the legs working again after a winter off, brilliant sunshine, superb view of the lake... Oh, %$&*!, I've left the camera in the car! That of course was the Ambleside flank and returning by Stock Ghyll, which was fun in itself, so all this side was freah ground to me. Loved this season, don't make us wait TOO long before you hit the Central Fells.
Ringwraith horses - really made me laugh! Another great vlog - thanks very much. Heading up to Kendal at the end of March and looking forward to getting out on the Far Eastern Fells. Looking forward to the next set.
great to see Finn out with you and another fantastic walk! Know how he feels about the long walks but not learning my lesson and just signed up for the Alzheimer's Society 26 mile hike around Ullswater in June 😅
Great to see the Finnmeister back on the production again..that little wagging tail adds to the excellent walking vlog...another great walk from Troutbeck 👌
Brilliant, lovely to see the little dog again 👍, I’m currently working in windermere, so might nip out at one dinnertime for the afternoon to have a look, thanks for the info pal
Great series. You should get yourself a patch for completing the wainwright's when you do from Conquer Lake District. Shop in Keswick. I've been buying hiking patches from them for the last few years. They do not have all of them but a good number of popular ones and a 214 patch for completing the whole lot. Shout out to them. Have look online. I'm looking forward to the next season and thank you for uploading. Some of my most recent walks have been inspired by this season and have gotten me away from the crowds and, to some, arguably, better scenery than some of the popular fells offer. The thing about the popular fells, most of them look better when you're not actually on them :)
Hi Glen. Great video as always, and great to see little Finneus again. Thanks for all your walks and looking forward to seeing the central fells in the next season. 😀🥾⛰🐶
Enjoyed wansfell video, love your dog. Cant wait for langdale and the rest, and i would like more photos please . These aare the best videos on you tube rave on.
Great to see Finn back out, brilliant vlog as always, was in tears watching, unbeknown to us this was to be our Belle's (our beautiful Italian Spinone dog), last ever fell, we had to say goodbye to a couple of months later 💔 Really love watching your videos, absolutely brilliant 👍
Hi Glenn, I really enjoy all your vlogs. I found the Ordnance Survey map really confusing when trying to identify the true summit of Wansfell. I don’t know if you watch the excellent vlogs made by Fat Boys on Tour, but they explained it very clearly. The summit with the cairn that you visited first is the true Wainwright summit. It is known as BAYSTONES (Wansfell). The second summit nearby is a Birkett called WANSFELL (Baystones). How’s that for confusing! It is actually just under a metre lower than the Wainwright top. I hope this helps, Paul
ohhh you sneaky so and so.. i saw you were out at a gig tonight so went "ahh dammit no vid today" and then one shows up!! 🥳🥳 great vid and lovely to have Finnibar out and about, she's adorable. Onwards to central fells, cant wait :) x
Love the videos mate, a brilliant way of portraying the hikes and they also help with choosing a wildcamp location or two, thank you and see you in the centrals 👍🏻
Great video mate, great to see the Finn😊 me and the wife and two daughters and two 8 month collies are on episode 3 of s1 and I've just realised it's a 15 miler 😱. Got to say the path up to gowbarrow fell was stunning and we got some great shots with some great cloud action and rays of light onto ullswater😊 really genuinely appreciate your work and to share these routes through os maps so people like me can follow along. Thanks 👍
Another great video, only came across your site by accident. I’ve been doing the same routes since December, when friends ask what have you done this weekend, just press share.😊 Great way to share the beauty of the Lake District… still a few Far Eastern fells to complete yet.. hopefully by Easter 😊
Great to see little Finn out and about again. A little fell with some big views. It looked a bit like Piccadilly Circus up there at the top of Wansfell. I really enjoyed the Far Eastern Fells series. The icing on the cake was the unforgettable moment was that view you got at the top of Bonscale Pike. So much so I had to go and see it for myself. I had the bright idea to miss out Arthurs Pike and cut straight across from Bonscale to Loadpot Hill. BAD IDEA! In the snow I couldn't see where I was going and ended up wading through a load of boggy ground until I found the Roman Road leading up to Loadpot. You live and learn so they say. Didn't spoil what was a fabulous day out though. The views from Pikawassa were jaw-droppingly beautiful as well. Wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for you. Thanks for posting these remarkable video's.
Hate those ladder stiles. Having a border collie that can't cope with climbing those high ones, I have to prepare myself to have very muddy clothing, especially at the front of me. Thanks for the outing, walked many of the paths you covered. Buttermere in June, looking forward to it.
Another great video, I remember walking up Wansfell from Ambleside and the incredible views across Windermere and beyond with it being more 'standalone'.
I took my children for a walk around Wansfell on New Years Eve last year (2022) didn't get many views as it was a tad claggy, but heading off Wansfell down to Ambleside we caught glimpses through the cloud which were spectacular. Love your videos as feel I'm right there with you. Great to see Finn back out. So cute.
Great video as always. Just one error when you said the star of the show was last weeks walk. It was actually footage every time Finn of the fells darted off from you 😂👍🏻
Another superbly enjoyable vlog. The last time I was on the pike about 4 years ago I have never known wind like it unreal. Came up from Ambleside. Looking forward to the Central Fells.
Another brilliant video - I've enjoyed every minute of this series. Get some rest, but don't take too long, cause I'm looking forward to the Central Fells in the spring. 😀
Good to see Finn out and about. Great video and i certainly agree this fell has great views for not a huge amount of effort. Cannot wait for the next season to start.
Well done, mate, on your first instalment of this fantastic journey. Im with ya on Bonscale, one of my favourite views and a highlight for me. Cant wait for the next series of the central fells.
Ah little Finn 💕 really enjoyed this series as it's an area I'm not familiar with so it's given me lots of ideas. Looking forward to the central fells as that's probably my favourite area, although I'm not sure my favourites conform to the books😄 think there'll be a lot of sighing going on when I'm watching those ones💚⛰️
Climbed this fell loads of times with our kids through our regular holidays in Ambleside, but to my surprise I now discover that we haven’t actually been at the true summit which is Baystones 😂. Many thanks for the whole series Glenn 🍺
I absolutely loved this video! It felt like I was right there with you, wandering along Wansfell/Woden's Fell. The views were breathtaking and your commentary was so engaging. I really appreciate the effort you put into showcasing the beauty of the Wainwrights. Thank you for taking us along on your journey!
Keep up the good work Glenn, always look forward to your videos. Done 3 of your walks on the Far Eastern fells this year, next one the angletarn pikes one. When does the central fells season start?
Great to have Finn back with us! Really enjoyed season 2....can't wait for the Central fells
Thoroughly enjoyed that and it's always great to see Finn the butty bandit.
a man and his dog. a most uncomplicated relationship. thank you for your endeavours. much appreciated.
Always a good day when we get a Black Crag video
Thanks very much 😊 🙏
Thank You for another wonderful video, BC. 😊 It was such a nice treat to see Phinn! 💚
Another great season looking forward to number 3 I am definitely going to nick some of your routes for this years walking absolutely brilliant rounds said it before best channel on RUclips for me 👍👍
Thanks for taking us all a long with you, a cracking walk to Woden's Fell. Loved Finns woolly jacket and enjoyed your boundless energy. 😜
Another cracking series Glen....looking forward to series 3....stay well 👍🏻

Better than anything the BBC put on
A fell walk with the dog and a pint in the pub ..what more could a bloke ask for 👍

Finn was star of the show, I loved his wagging tail whilst he was waiting for his treat. Great view, I can see why it is so popular.
Ringwraith horses - really made me laugh! Another great vlog - thanks very much. Heading up to Kendal at the end of March and looking forward to getting out on the Far Eastern Fells. Looking forward to the next set.

Top stuff and what a Sunday treat to have Finn as a bonus! 👍👍👍

Spot on. Nice to see the waggy-tailed wonder out again.
Thanks Glenn, for an entertaining and engaging series! Great to see Finn out, too! Look forward to series three!
Great video thanks for sharing 👍 😀
Thanks for all your videos in this series. Have enjoyed every single one of them. 👏

Thanks for an amazing Season 2! Great to see Finn still kicking ass!
Cracking stuff as always. Even better with an appearance of the star of the show - the gorgeous Finn.
Great to see Finn back out, brilliant vlog as always, was in tears watching, unbeknown to us this was to be our Belle's (our beautiful Italian Spinone dog), last ever fell, we had to say goodbye to a couple of months later 💔
Really love watching your videos, absolutely brilliant 👍
Love seeing the Finnmeister again, we were discussing if she is a Patterdale or a Jack Russell,
Thank you.....she's a Parson Russell Terrier (long legged Jack) 😊
Great film again. Welcome back Finn.
Again, really enjoyed the vid, can’t wait to get back up there. Bloody cute dog.

Absolutely loving this series, our family tea time viewing on a Sunday. 👌🏼
At last another one of the few I’ve walked & can share with you and visited the pub too! 👍

Climbed this fell loads of times with our kids through our regular holidays in Ambleside, but to my surprise I now discover that we haven’t actually been at the true summit which is Baystones 😂. Many thanks for the whole series Glenn 🍺

I really appreciate the effort you put into showcasing the beauty of the Wainwrights. Thank you for taking us along on your journey!
Totally agree
It’s called Wansfell because it’s where Wainwright ‘once fell’
Keep up the good work Glenn, always look forward to your videos. Done 3 of your walks on the Far Eastern fells this year, next one the angletarn pikes one. When does the central fells season start?
Were those two lasses twins?
Do you use an external mic? This audio is so clear :)
Wot pub was it ?
👍
I'll carry some wd40 up for that gate when I do this route.🍻😂
Sorry to be pedantic but Woden is a Saxon god . Odin is his Norse name .
