I just bought one and let me tell you. I have never worked in the lawn a day in my life. I have a small patch of grass in my backyard. I was so nervous, but I found your video and you really helped me. I can’t wait to use it. Thank you 😊
they changed the handle design because it broke quickly at the left and right, so now they have that integrated concept which is much better. But now I cant find whereto get replacement parts for this weed eater
Nice review bud. That battery definitely lasted a lot longer than the one I had. Seemed like I'd get about 15 minutes into trimming and it would already be dead.
Update: I bought another battery that is 2.5 instead of 2 amps and a dual battery charging element that charges the batteries within an hour or so. Don't feel so disappointed now.
I bought this weedeater last year and it worked great all summer. I stored it for winter and pulled it out 2 weeks ago and charged the battery. Works great. But when I inserted the battery into the weedeater, nothing happens. No sound, no movement, nothing. What could be wrong with the weedeater? I need help on this as I have never had one to do this before.
@@VansWorld so, after watching your video, I went out and whacked my yard - easy peasy since I knew what to expect. It's the first time I've ever used one! Thanks again.
I just got the same trimmer. My line keeps breaking off and the end isn't sticking out of the hole anymore. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? I can't get the line to advance at all. There are all these little notches on the line holder but I can't find instructions for what to do with the line.
Mine has same problem. Works for two minutes, string seems to be advancing. But then eventually string gets short and disappears inside spool, doesn’t stick out of hole anymore. I take it apart, string is loose inside spool. I rewind it, stick it through hole, reassemble and it works for 1 minute, and then string vanishes inside hole again. Repeat repeat repeat. Root of problem seems that string gets too short. Don’t know what to do.
It appears you used the battery in the trimmer then used it in the blower without recharging it. the battery does slow down a little with use, that is why I have 2 batteries, the blower may do better with a fresh battery, when trimming my lawn at about three quarters of the lawn the trimmer has slowed down a bit then it will stop, that is when I pull out the fresh battery and it spins at top speed again. I do not try to cut trees with my trimmer, I just use it to take care of the areas the riding mower can't get into.
well the good news is on the crack the blower had its wally world and can always just get a brand new one every 30 days if you want ,thats what i do with most wally world items lol, i was wondering though how hot the battery was after that 20 mins of weedeating? also are you using the 20v batteries or 40v batteries,if that was 20v im very curious how the 40v works out for you,on both the blower and eater.
I’ll look into the 40v and see what I can find. 👍😁 our Walmart isn’t taking any returns at all right now. But I do the same thing as you described with crappy harbor freight stuff like their electric paint sprayer
@@VansWorld yeah true on the returns right now, though i was able to still bring a battery core in when i bought a battery for my 07 stang last week.Yeah so far for hypertough stuff i grabbed the 4 piece set,drill,impact,saws-all and flashlight and they all seem to work great, came with the 20v batteries, man 40$ for that cant beat it.Deff want to upgrade to some 40v batteries though,,just afraid of burning out the drills motor or something when i do it haha
How long do you have to charge the battery for the first time? I asked this question because I just bought one today and according to the instructions, when the light turns green on the charger, it means it’s fully charged. Now I charge it until the battery turned green but when I started using it? It could not Last me 5 minutes and it it stopped working? I couldn’t use it again. Any assistance on that will be greatly appreciated
I’ve had mine for a few years and it seems to be bogged down by long grass wrapped around. Do you know how to take off the whole head off to remove grass from it?
Hi! I bought this trimmer used a couple weeks ago and it has done alright. But i am not sure how to remove the head when weeds get tangled. Can you help me?
@@fortheluvofshanks hey, so i ended up messing around with it and concluded that I had to take apart the handle of it to open up the plastic and get in around the trimmer. Its kinda inconvenient but wasnt that hard. You will have to peel off the sticker and take care about the wires that attach to the motor. If he doesn't make a video maybe I will 😂
@@tiffc105 thanks hon! I had ended up doing the same...sticker and all(was going to mention that that was not a crack/factory defect *mentioned in vid*after all-lol) only shitty part is that I still can't seem to remove the "spool holder " from the rest --and the damn fishing line is stuck just under the holder 🤦♀️
Looks cool but the battery sucks does not last long and once the battery starts getting low the string gets tangled and crabs on to the grass mines last 10 min on the battery life that’s it and it’s brand new not happy with it I’ve had a couple though out the years I’ve never found one that I can say yea it’s a good one 😂😂😂 I’ll stick with the gas for now on
I bought corded weed eater I have to replace the stool cover it broke. Do you know where I can buy one to replace it. I looked up hyper tough, they don't sell parts for it.
@@VansWorld yes please I would like to watch that but also the 18v has different attachments right? Do you have a video of that one? I’m trying to change from the hyper tough to the ryobi but I wasn’t sure

Just got one today to use until I get my gas trimmer fixed and this thing is so much more power than I thought it's great for general residential use
Yep. Not bad for the price.

I just bought this combo and I have never used a Trimmer before so your video was very helpful, thank you!
I just bought this so thank you! I think they upgraded it, mine came with 2 batteries.
That's cool 2 batteries!!
Its been 3 years and my hypertough blower and weed wacker still working. Transitioning to dewalt if ever this thing gave up.
Love it for the price. Not super strong blower and the battery is not super long usage . Overall very happy.
This woman in Michigan thanks u for helping her assemble
You saved me a couple bucks. I was about to go and purchase this. Thanks my man.
No problem 😁👍
I have that exact set... Mine works great I love the weed wacker
Good honest review, that’s what it’s all about. Thank you sir. Tony.
Definitely. All about saving people time and money. 😁👍
Just don't leave the batter plugged in to long because overcharging will burn it out.
That’s true. 👍😁
Thanks for takin the time t do this. Please do another with a better set🙏🏾👍🏽

Thanks for the review. This helped a lot. Saved me sum cash.
Glad I could help!
Thanks man, you answered everything I was curious about
thank u you coverd all i needed to no i got just the weed wacker so i payed more though just hope it works good for me thanks for the video
My pleasure. Hope you enjoy it.
Can you demonstrate how to change the string in that particular 20 volt Walmart weed eater, please
Sure will. I’ll try to get one made and uploaded this Thursday 👍😁 thank you for asking.

How do you get the whole spindle off to clean that out in case it freezes up the motor in there where the string is

Can I use any kind of strings? I ran out today and don’t know where to look to purchase more strings.
Get .65 string

No. The head is fixed.

How do you get the wire to feed automaticly. I have to stop and do it manually every 60 seconds or so.
It releases when you release the trigger. I show how it works in this video.

Not from Walmart. I’d like to try the new hart brand at Walmart.
It's obvious you get what you pay for..try the craftsman trimmer and blower kit..$230 from Walmart..

Walmart sells the batteries
