32:10 slicer actually can be sacrificed during the owners turn. It only gains the effect of not being able to be sacrificed while its under the control of an opponent 😅
Slicer is probably the biggest reason I don't think there is enough single target removal in EDH/CEDH.
I think she got confused with fork cause some people use it as a counterspell for counterspells by copying it targeting the counter spell

I don’t play cedh and know very little about it, but I worked pretty hard on making this a tough deck for the episode. We were told to bring the heat. So I brought it 😅
Yep, Slicer is just over the top. The table could have played around it. The way of playing against slicer is kill him asap. So Joe should have left birds up to block and then others can work on spreading commander damage while looking for answers.

@@hodlsage8968 he doesn’t see the light of day very often 😂 admittedly, I know it’s strong and not usually the type of game I play. But this was for an occasion. And he does come in handy when high power games are on the table. He was once completely shut down by a shorikai deck, though.

My fave comment not here on RUclips was, “You look so serious looking at your hand before your turn. Almost like you’re completely hiding how amazing your opening hand is gonna be.” lol the truth is, I was beautiful minding the mana on how I can get slicer out turn one. I flip cards around in my hand making sure it could happen and I spent Bruja and Joe’s turns making sure it actually worked. 😅
Someone tell Ron, you don’t have to give your Slicer to someone, especially when it’s 1 vs. 1 because it’s a “May” ability!!!!! ❤❤❤

Also, if I don’t pass it, he flips, and the other side doesn’t have the double strike I needed to take Joe out.
That turn one was awesome
I don't think it came up since everyone's sacrifice spells were sorcery speed but slicer's can't be sacrificed ability only applies to the turns when Ron gives it to an opponent, fun stuff tho. Lesson here is don't bring cardboard to a slicer fight

So I was looking into it more and the only time you can cause Slicer to be sacrificed by any effect is on the actual owner's turn or at the End Step when control returns to them.
Otherwise it's just as normal.
This was a painful episode to watch for so many reasons 😅

When Joe brings back his board for a second time he draws 3 cards per enchanment but the argothian enchantress is no longer in play. Is there something else that allows Joe to draw the third card?

Maldhound targeted the plate..... The plate only fell off because the plate was regenned..... Not sure why he didnt target the slicer..... However, if slicer was targetted the plate is still on it
Bane of Progress or Farewell would of solved the problem Joe, you should put it in your Sythis deck. Other than that, this was an awesome and epic episode. It was a lot of fun to watch. Ron didn't just went too hard, she bulldozed everyone into the next millennium LOL 🤣

I play a lot of eldrazi slivers my preators Nico bolas got a very nasty Liberty prime science deck infinite energy counters in infinite turns. Destroying people with Commander damage. 😆

@@AGirlNamedRon my main favorite deck that got me back into magic after so many years is neon dynasty kamigawa I love that set chishiro shatter blade it was poison and infect. But now it's going unblockable indestructible. I put my godo and helm war elemental all will be one infinite combos back in it.

@@seanhardner5842 I think it’s maybe midrange at best, from the little I know of cedh. I don’t think it would easily win a tournament or anything. Not with my current knowledge of it. Would have loved to be able to hear anything but the mic quality is distractingly bad.
We worked with what we had and learned from the experience. It was a fun time on the road and I’ll be more prepared in the future. There was literally one person helping out on set that day and he did a fantastic job despite the odds.
Bruh we need to get you better microphones if y'all are gonna keep using hotel room play footage. its rough sometimes hearing ever crinkle and card flick over the dialogue.
Next 3 months of gaming in a studio. My buddy Benjamin did the best he could with what he had and we definitely learned what we need filming on the road!
