She is a nice and fun girl. I'm sure if she had been a daycare teacher she would have been successful and the kids would have been happy. Miko was a little wrong about herself, she is not "not clever", she is genius. It takes intelligence and a good understanding of the market to be able to climb and stand at the top of the VTuber world. Because being an entertaining VTuber is not easy and only a few VTubers out there have been able to accomplish feats like she has today.
To be fair, Hololive as a company is also just dominantly good in promoting their talents. There are plenty of indie Vtubers who are equally as talented but don't get the same amount of recognition. I agree that Miko is a genius entertainer, but let's also not forget it was Hololive that helped her grow and helped her accomplish those feats.

In her early days, she struggled a lot and didn't get much public attention compared to other hololive members in 1st Gen and Gamers. Even her booth was only visited by less than 20 people. If Yagoo hadn't stopped her, Miko would have graduated long ago.
Don't forget the effort and determination to push on when she had less than double digit viewers (or less!) since she's part of the pioneers like Sora.
Exactly! Mikochi is truly elite when you know how hard the beginnings of Hololive were. Miko almost graduated a few times, because she felt like a failure (not many viewers at the beginning, etc.). I recommend watching her crying from the letter she received from Yagoo for her 4th anniversary. There is this clip Miko feels touched whe she reads a letter from Yagoo. Another one: Miko and Yagoo cried together in difficult times
