      Wasn't really the "Math hard make head hurt" kinda situation. More that the actual process of remembering the functions, was likened to having your foot asleep suddenly wake up. Haven't needed to a lot of fraction multiplication or division since grade school.

      I'm always amazed at the Face Id plus VTuber Studio is able to take that data and translate it into motion capture and display it on the screen accurately. Yes I know they have toggles but a lot of VTubers don't like using toggles for more than effect, so these reactions tend to be driven from the mocap data
      So here she is and her face is just dumbfounded

      I hope I can make you slightly proud in saying that I didn’t even use reciprocal division for the dividing portion because I realized she was dividing one number by itself which basic rules of division will tell you that equals one. And I’ve been out of school for more than five years now and the last time I had a math class was eight years ago

      Honestly, even as a math nerd, I don't fault Miko or anyone for tripping up on the division, as if you don't remember the whole inversion thing you're pretty much screwed. Even the multiplication, I can understand how someone who struggles with math would get tripped up there.
      The subtraction tho? Yeah, there's no overlooking that one. Even an elementary school student would know that you wouldn't end up with a bigger number after subtracting lol.

      I mean, that's fair if it was any different numbers. But it should be common knowledge that any number divided by itself is 1, so I won't let that one slide this easily xD (edit: Except for 0 because you can't divide by 0, so 0/0 is not defined)

      I’m kind of glad that the reciprocal rule exists, because for me that problem in particular, I immediately knew it was one, not because of reciprocals in fractional division, but because you were dividing the one number by itself, in math, the number one rule of division is, if you divide a number by itself it equals one, and for anyone who says what about dividing by zero, in mathematical terms zero is not actually counted as a number same as infinity is not counted as a Number.

      @@scurreith3667 ??? 0 is a number. it's neither negative nor positive, but it's absolutely a number and can't be compared to infinity.
      you can't do infinity+5 for example or infinity/2. because it's not a number.
      you CAN do 0+3, or 0/3. because 0 IS a number.
      0/0 is simply a very weird case. I don't think even mathematicians agree on what it is(though there are 3 possibilities I believe, among them "1" is a possibility. "Undefined" is another.)

    I am the only one who noticed Sora made a mistake at 2:04? She substracted the denominator, and so she ended up with the forbidden 0/0.
    Miko’s reasoning was consistant, she just forgot to realise you still need to write the 0 as numerator, which gives 0/3, which is 0.

    Miko's brain is one of the mysteries of the universe.

      I think it is because she is thinking merely about "number over other number", and not necessarily what the fractions actually represent. In this case she used the same method as adding fractions without considering how obviously wrong it is.
