    These tutorials in themselves are a work of art: you're giving advice on fabrics, matching sewing terms with visual aides, etc. Everything that you make is stunning, but it's such a gift to show/teach others how to make it themselves. I'll definitely be buying your patterns. Thank you! ^^

    You can do a straight stitch at the seamlines (or if you're very good - a 16th of an inch inside the seam allowance, alongside the seamlines) if you don't have access to a serger - as most people don't. Or just take care not to let your pattern pieces hang where they're cut on the bias/off the straight of grain

    Thank you so much for this excellent video tutorial, it was very well shot and edited and I very much enjoyed watching a piece of fabric turn into this beautiful pleated trousers. I'm 5'3" (160cm) and have an hourglass figure. NOTHING in this world fits me without alteration. I pay twice for any clothing item I buy. Once when I purchase it and once when I take it for alteration. I've been thinking about sewing my own clothes lately, and I'm so glad I found your channel. I just subbed and turned on the bell notification. Could you please do a fitted blazer for hourglass figure in one of your future videos. Many thanks in advance. Cheers and keep up the excellent work.💖💖✨✨

    hey ! I really like the aesthetic of these pants and I'll soon start this but I want to know is there's any tips or changes that I'd do to make them fit a man ?
    (ps:sorry for bad english im not a native speaker)

    • @barosz123
      @barosz123 Год назад +5

      1. For men, the tradition is for the fly to be the other way round: it is always the left side that goes on top.
      2. Depending on the body shape, you may want to consider the fabric carefully - tencel or viscose may be too flowy and produce a rather weird effect - you may want to opt for more classic suiting fabric with a gentle drape for the flow effect.
      3. You'll probably need to adjust the waist suppression (difference between seat and waist measurements). Back darts will most likely end up smaller, but remember to always keep the proportions between the front and back parts - you want the side seam to stay in the same place on your body.
      4. Optional, but men generally need more space in the front crotch area, and less in the seat, so some adjustments in those areas may be needed for a better fit.

    I have some questions.
    The instructions (size 14) say I need a 23cm zipper and I have a 21cm zipper and it’s still way too large for the pattern. The fly template is only 19,8cm long and won’t cover the zipper like in your instructions. So I‘d have to sew over the zipper instead of around. I moved the zipper a bit up since in the video and the instructions it seemed to reach a bit over the seam allowance. But I will definitely get problems when I attach the waist line. Is there an error in the size of the zipper? If I‘d taken an actual 23cm zipper it would have never fit. Apart from the size, more detailed instructions on were to place the zipper (right at the edge of seam allowance or a few mm over it) would be nice.
    Second: while attaching the loops, you say that the first stitch 5mm should be right into the seam but isn’t the seam allowance 1.2cm?
    Other from that my new pants look already great. Although I keep hesitating attaching the waistband because I‘m afraid it won‘t work with the zipper 😭

    • @DressmakingAmore
