Some years ago I was working in Fargo, ND and decided to go to a grocery store. I am from Indiana and very familiar with Kroger. But the store I went to was called Ralphs, and from the outside I thought it might be an independent IGA store. But upon entering I knew I was in a Kroger store because so much of the merchandise was a Kroger label. When I checked out I asked the cashier if this was a Kroger store. She said yes, that when it became a Kroger store Kroger put their name on the outside and their business fell off so they put the Ralph's name back on the store and their customers returned.
Used to work at Kroger in North Carolina before it closed it was a good store but it could be annoying at times
Too bad we don't have Kroger here in Cleveland anymore. It's been gone many years ago. I've been to the ones in Columbus and Cincinnati and I agree, the deals are fierce!
I work at Kroger and everything in tne vlog was correct except we don't take coupons on clearance items... at least not in my area... nor do we take coupons that are more than the cost of the item. For instance, if an item is $1.99 , we couldn't take a $2.00 coupon for that item.
Yeah I'm a csm at my Kroger and it states in our coupon policy you can not use a coupon on a discounted item such as a wahoo or a closeout item

None of the coupons I've clipped have ever worked. None of the employees seem to know anything about them to help you... not even at customer service desk which is where I have been told to go many times. I'm usually told they don't know or I have done something wrong. Also called customer service about fuel points showing up on receipts but not giving discount at pump. I have explained my fuel points have never shown up in app but usually work at pump. I had 296 points from Sept and 124 in Oct but was told I had used them that I had 0. I hadn't used them. The next time I got gas I got 20¢ off per gallon. How'd that happen if I had 0 points? That's a rhetorical question. The representative said she was going to put $15 credit on card. When I was at store, of course the $15 wasn't there. The attendant called the manager and he took 15 off my total. Now I'd like to use some rewards points but don't know if they'll show up on my card. Too much time and effort to continue trying to use something that never works. Then end up spending more money or making attendant mad when saying I'm not getting something...all because coupons don't work. I was also asked which coupons haven't worked. None of them! How are you supposed to be able to show that? I'm going to try to use points but if it doesn't work I'm not trying anymore coupons. It's ridiculous.

I believe Kroger owns Ralphs. You coupon at Ralphs The same way you can at Kroger's right? Where I'm from we do not have Kroger's only Ralphs and I would like to try to coupon there
When you're doing Kroger pick up, do you pay before you get to the store or do you pay when you get to the store and present your coupons?
You sign up for an account, build your grocery cart, then input your credit card info when you checkout online. BUT when you get to the store and call to let them know you're there, just tell them you have coupons and they will come collect them from you and your total will be adjusted down based on deducting the coupons.

@@shannonwheeler4228 with pickup, kroger puts a hold on your card as soon as you place your order for the amount of your estimated order total, plus... i believe either 10 or 20%? the extra is to cover the cost of your meat and produce ("random weight items"). this is to make sure that you actually have the funds to cover the amount.
however, this estimated total doesn't include any ecoupons or paper coupons. after you pick up your order and accept any substitutions, we scan your paper coupons, and only after you accept the final total do we process your payment with the bank. the difference between the amount that was kept on hold, and your final amount after coupons, is then returned to your account. 😊👍

@@shledzguohn I did my first order today for pick up tomorrow. I noticed the Friday and Saturday specials didn't ring up right, but I'm hoping they will adjust it when I pick up.

What is their policy if you buy 3 items on clearance at $6.29 each and each items has a $2 off now coupon on it that states "1 coupon per purchase"?
I was told that I could only use one coupon per transaction. So I I made 3 transactions and got the extra $2 of each one.
Isn't every item but a purchase, ie 3 purchases per transaction?
I'm in Oregon and this was at a Fred Meyer. I spoke with the Manager Michel Wyatt at the Stadium Fred Meyer and he started that I am incorrect. I know that I am not wrong but I thought I'd ask others.
What recourse do I have now?
I got corporates number but of course they don't pick up and you cannot even leave a message because after the massage it just hangs up.

Also, sometimes Ibotta requires in-store purchases in order to claim rebates, can you claim the rebates and do pick up?
i've never used ibotta, but doesn't it only require a picture of your receipt? you get a receipt from grocery pickup that looks just like the one you would get from inside the store 😊

I don't know if they still do this but a couple of times I was in self check out lane and I would catch a product incorrect price and if it was they gave it to me for free
Depends on the store. The one I work at doesn't do that but they will change the price to the correct one for you if you don't throw a huge fit.

Is Food 4 Less part of Kroger
yes! kroger owns Food 4 Less in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, but not the stores called Food 4 Less that operate in California. there, kroger owns Ralphs and Foods Co.

I don't like using my phone number at register. One lady used my phone number to get my ECB.
You can use any random 10 digits as long as you can remember it
