Very true. When you are in trouble and in dire need you will know who your real friends are. They said people laugh when you laugh but people don’t cry when you cry. Friends are not true friends when they are just with you in good times. So if ever you find a true friend, treasure that person. For that person is one in a million.
❤
I knew this very well this year. A lot of "friends" have been weeded out because of it.
Yep, I'm blessed with 4 and we'd do anything for each other
Never had one.
@@kazeki0007I feel you. 😢
I love the details in this scene. John spoke in Koji’s language when he needed help. He showed respect by pouring him his drink first and putting his hand under his cup. Meaning he respects his friend to adhere to his customs and native language. Koji was a true friend and John was truly a friend that valued him. Not just just a way out.
That's what compelled him to stay alive and kill as many because he asked him to in Japanese and John responded yes back in Japanese then when the dragon breathe scene appeared later he gave koji his last wish by going ham
Well observed and stated.
Koji fought to the death beside John.
Kane also showed his true heart.
@@sidebite2533what I liked in this is how they were pictured. Koji was dying and didn't want to die a dogs death, he wanted to die as man he was, thats' why he challenged Caine to duel. Caine who was supposed to kill John, had numerous occasions to put bullet in his head. But despite that, he walked side by side with John and faced him in a duel.
John sacrificed his life to save his father Winston and his legacy the Continential, get revenge for Koji and Charon, and free Caine from neverending torment of being a slave to the table.
That's why Caine called him brother.
The trio called each other a friend, but in truth they were all brothers.
This franchise was marvelously written and performed.
They should've let him live. He was the Japanese Winston.
"Killing him was a mistake my friend"
I think koji was better than Winston.
Winston never put his life in the line for john like koji did
@@marianodiaz2946I also tended to find him more of an Interesting character, even though he only got screen time in one of the four movies, compared to Winston. Although the way Winston interacts with the world around him totally fits his character.
@@christopherchartier3017probably because he has a daughter, and that brings more emotions to the character
He wanted to die for his honor, the blind man spared him but than he wanted to show to his daughter that he doesn’t fear death, that’s a true warrior.
It's CRIMINAL that John Wick 4 didn't get nominated for an Academy Award for 'Best Cinematography'. Then again, the Oscars are a joke anyway 😂
they too busy slapping each other to notice anything lol
That line burned itself into my mind. Love Hiroyuki Sanada
Man I wanted to see him through to the end of the movie
Man, Sanada-san continues to prove himself to be one of the best parts of anything he is involved with. Whether its a AAA blockbuster movie or bit-part in a tv show, he puts in the same amount of effort and respect. He's become someone who I respect and admire for so many different reasons.
I love the respect between two
John is apologazing to Koji in his native language
While Koji shares some wisdom and shows his frendship and loyalty in John's native language. You can see it but its great to hear that verbal sing of respect between two
Isn’t John’s native language Russian?
My father told Me when I was 9 yrs. old. "Trust Nobody, Your two best friends are your left and right hands. Never assume there is help beside or behind you. R.I.P. Dad.
In Zen Buddism, the falling Sakura blossom is a symbol of mortality/death/reaching the end of life. 0:18 is one hell of foreshadowing. loved the amount of passion and love towards the Japanese culture that was showed in the movie; Which makes me even more excited for the Ghost of Tsushima movie being made by the same creative minds behind John Wick movies.
I own the game-need to play it.
I am stealing this friendship quote!
Koji was a very wise & interesting character really wished we could have gotten more ..
Hiroyuki Sanada just adds so much professionalism and elegance to any scene he graces!! He just commands your attention with his air of confidence that surrounds him. I'm always so sad when he dies in the movie or is only in a cameo-type shot (Avengers: Endgame) or used sparingly (Mortal Kombat - a bookend to the start and end of the movie) - such a waste!! BUT, I will watch ANY movie that he is in, if only for his scenes. Love this man!!!
Koji was ready to die for John because he knew that John was ready to die for him. No matter why and no matter how. This is The Friendship.
Whatever role Hiroyuki-san is playing, he always nails it 💪🔥 now playing as Lord Toranaga of Shogun
And winning a Emmy Award for Best Dramatic Actor for SHOGUN

I love the subtle shock look John has hearing about Charon
Last time he saw him ,he fought alongside him and he was there when Winston shot him down.
0:06 - Why does John Wick resemble an NPC where you will get your next quest?
Yes when I was in a tragedy moment in my life I understood I had only 2 real friends.
Funny now who sings that song no new friends looking at my past n seeing how everyone wants to tell lies n then they just don’t get it I guess they’re all look not so smart now words n actions taken against me good thing I was anointed when I was a kid n highly favored by 3 families now
0:15 that background sound damn💀💀💀💀
Friendship means little when it's convenient...
この作品の映画も見ました。真田広之さん取っても素晴らしい映画でした。此れからも無理無く頑張って下さい。(◍•ᴗ•◍)
0:15 My favorite shot of the movie. So beautiful.
Toranaga!!!
Looks like Toranaga kept control of Osaka for one hell of a long time.
In different times he has during the samurai period
Scene 0:14 gives me chills every time
The Melodi, does it shill🥰
Ah! Japanese teachings are so amazing
John is in Ronin 47 alongside Koji
Sooo cool that Keanu and Hiroyuki Sanada got to work together again!
Just as John wick redeemed Keanu…this redeems Sanada
I wish I had a friend like Koji .
thanks for your nice and sweet words ❤️. You're such an amazing soul and I truly appreciate your love and support. Where're you from?
@Keanuplanet-sj5ob I am from India, brother. And you?
@@ayyazsiddique5381 that's lovely
@@ayyazsiddique5381 I'm not always here
@@ayyazsiddique5381 do you mind
You know I agree a lot with the sentiment however I dislike how far they took it just to kill him off.
Spoilers ahead!
I mean he literally died trying to strike Cain in the back when he was walking away _directly after_ Cain told him to "take care of your daughter" he didn't die for friendship he didn't die for time he literally died for nothing.
He has no choice but to attack Cane in that scene. He needed to finish off Cane for John. Even if it was a reckless battle, that is his loyalty to John.
@@st.elmosfire4276 " no choice but to attack Cane in that scene. He needed to finish off Cane for John. Even if it was a reckless battle, that is his loyalty to John."
I'm sorry no that's retarded. John was long gone promise fulfilled. Cain had been stalled long enough by that fight that any additional time bought via suicide was pointless. To be frank he was a man with resources who would've helped john reach his dual. Ergo he needed to be written out of the plot.
He struck at Caine because he is a samurai . Guys don’t forget his last name is Shimazu . if he loses the duel he has to die, all his men just died for him fighting hard with no intent to surrender , the willingness to die for their lord was constant. Samurai code, Caine disgraced him by not finishing him off. What was to be done was he take his own life but he basically initiated a “fights not over” move .
@@garlicbread7129 Racial stereotyping much?
@@simonnachreiner8380First of all, Japanese is not a race, it's an ethnicity and tribal identity.
Secondly, it's literally confirmed in the movie that Koji and his men were heavily based off Samurai and their codes, including their refusal to use firearms, only blades and bows.
Grato line. Fro. A great movie.
so Johnny Silverhand is calling corpo lapdog Takemura friend now?
1:42 Meiwaku o kakete sumanai.
You can see John really cares about Winston when he asks about Winston and is saddened when he hears about Charon's death. Also I like Koji, he's wise and the way he talks and gives advices makes me calm
One of the bests movie's of the year
The atmosphere is full on Cyberpunk
Fantastic segment except I wish I knew how to repeat what John said in Japanese. It always bothers me when something is said in Japanese but I can’t repeat it. Ah well.
whats name this music 0:14
Grave situation its ost jw4
@@neonxtej thank
John with OST’s SLAP ! Got a HANDFUL of em on my work out playlist and many others haha
It's "wick in Osaka" the other guy is just dumb.
Best quote of the entire movie
How did you get the high quality?
One of the most powerful lines ever, applicable even in real life!
❤
Hopefully no more movies. Should have stopped a 2
He from what we get from the continental series which I’m sad to hear was canceled, Koji is John’s uncle, and Kojis sister was Yen who is believed to be Johns Mother.
You know that the continental series was a miniseries right?
@@RollingClone221 that’s what I heard because they wanted to see if it was going to stick enough for it to keep going
