*I THINK NOT*
yes that happen to be A LOT OF times
I once got 1 Squarespace advert at the start, one in the middle and one at the end. That vid was also sponsored by Squarespace.
It's not. ;)

i'm here for the old school runescape
Im here for the gentle cleaning😊
Don't forget the methylated spirits.
There's a crocodile Dundee reference there somewhere
Pretty good deal. I’ve gotten a few laptops with second gen i5s for around $80 USD and flipped them for around 120-150 with a bit of an upgrade and general cleaning
Dang, I recently got a thinkpad 420 with an i5 for 40 with a bad keyboard that I replaced, its pretty cool since it came with a whopping 12gb ram and an nvidia nvs 4200 graphics so its pretty nice
@@awesomecomputers7076 can it play dota 2?
@@saeidk736 idk haven't tried gaming on it yet but it probably does run dota
@@awesomecomputers7076 shhhit, i just got a brand new laptop for 750$, i think if it was worth it or not. It has rx 560 a ryzen 3500h and 8gigs or ram, i still think its overpriced
@@bishakhsen390 oof a few months back Walmart had some random brand of laptops called motile with ryzen 3 3200u 4gb 128gb for 179 and an ryzen 5 3500u 8gb 256gb for 329, I picked up the ryzen 5 upgraded to 16, the only con about that laptop is it's only single channel and gets toasty but it had a second nvme slot so I put in a 512gb for extra storage and its decent, it can run games at least as well as that thinkpad maybe better due to the cpu being far better, right now it's kinda expensive at 400 but it goes up and down rapidly rx 560 is dedicated and 3500h is decent, I mean it's a decent price but it's not a steal
This channel makes me miss my Dell Inspiron 6400 (1505 in the US), which I used for 11.5 years before replacing it in 2018. It had a Core Duo T2400 1.83 Ghz, 4GB RAM (over the official 2GB max supported) and 250GB SSD (limited to SATA-1). What a champ.
i had a similar spec laptop, same cpu, but mine had only 2gb of ram and the 250gb drive was an HDD (are you sure yours was an ssd?). it had radeon mobility HD3200 discrete graphics which made it quite a little budget beast. unfortunately the gpu went a couple years ago when i was kinda playing around with it. by playing around i mean overclocking the hell out of it! it became so much faster! it was sad because it worked fine the last time i used it, then turned it off and it never saw the light of day again ;-;
i would fix it, but that would probably cost more than buy a better spec used one nowadays.
@@GraveUypo yes, the ssd was an upgrade and I installed it myself.
great video! finally something to keep me entertained through this dreadful week. :)
"thoroughly clean any second hand laptop you buy" - no truer words in these days eh 👀
You live in Queensland?
As an American seeing the $99 title then being told the conversation rate, id say this title is deceiving is in a good way
Thanks for the information
4:04 "Strage Man" thats the best squarespace ad i have ever seen
bro i love your vids please make so many more
My first laptop ( that I actually owned ) was a dell laptop with an i3 and 4gb of ram, it was really close to this one but the back was glossy. It was a 2nd or 3rd gen, I don’t remember. I used to play minecraft and need for speed world on it. Such a good times, on the summer it used to run almost 24/7 because the minecraft server that o had at the time. After 2 years the USB ports stopped working and dell gave me a refound, their customer support is really good. Maybe one day I’ll have another dell 😁. Great video man.
4:04 'Strange Man on sale for $14'
Lol
LOL
Wtf
LOL!
I wonder how many people ordered
Love your tech videos, keep up the good work!!
penis
love your videos. trying to make time to leave a short comment on all of them that I watch. keep posting them!
I must say -- optimization has come a LONG way!
I mean in 2012 you could play csgo on a pentium 4 with intel hd but now that same Specs would explode
@@PcoxdEdits yep, they killed the game
Even if it's not enough there are apps to add extra optimization.
Great thank for your video that change my gaming performances laptop purchasing idea.

great video keep up the great work
Hey mate great video, keep up the awesome work. (Fellow Adelaide boy aswell)
i just love your videos you are the best
Love your videos
The layout and the look of this Dell laptop reminds me of earlier version of HP EliteBook 840 series...
I use an HP ryzen 3 laptop and this looks about the same
Sweet little laptop :-) i enjoy the video thanks
6:24 I literally thought my PC was crashing with that sound!
This is why I love this channel
Ive torn down and repaired so many of these its insane. But it was very intertesting to watch someone online do this lol.
This would be a great productivity laptop. First thing I'd do is format the drive and install Linux in it. Then I'd roll up my sleeves and get to work.
Like real work.
hey that's my laptop you were reviewing, it's still hold up for the past few years. Infact when i stumble upon this video i was watching it using the laptop LOL!
Never knew that type of notebook could actually run Player Unknown Battlegrounds even if it's unplayable. Nice to know and I thumbs upped the video for quality content.
We deadass used those computers in high school and old best up Thinkpads that were completely destroyed but functional
yes! the karambit is back!

I heard "VBay" too
Love ur vids
“Can we get a gaming laptop”
“We have a gaming laptop at home”
*Gaming laptop at home:*
That pc is better than your pc
More like craptop
6:48 I mean, thats still pretty impressive, considering its running 2000 physics calculations per second.
You should go a hackintosh video! Since you seem to love macs as well as budget laptops. It would be awesome to see you do some research on some nice older laptops that can run Mojave or Catalina.
Hit me up if you wanna know any machines that I know that work.
Dude you got a dell. I love my dells! Latitude and XPS heaven!
omg my dad bought this computer for me to watch the online meetings and I was wondering if it could handle gaming
Even though the chip isn't socketed you can still upgrade it, motherboards for higher spec varients aren't too expensive and they should work with this, meaning you could probably get an i5 in there
Great work true legendary man never forgot about good friend 🥰
great videos, very inspiring
"Before we see how bad that thermal paste looks, I'd like to tell you how good your website could look!"
Smooth man! Absolutely smooth!
Is that Knife a Raptors claw? could have someones guts out with that. Anyhoo great vid, nice price on that laptop.
Thank you
Huh, that laptop is basically identical to my Dell Inspiron 5437, except it doesn't have a touchscreen and it has an i3 instead of an i5. Interesting.
I have a dell inspiron 1501
Your trusty knife is awesome.
Maybe you should try running half-life 2. Great vid. Love it
I have a Dell Latitude e6430 and it's still great in 2020!
7:30 bro really called halo reach, halo anniversary xD
6:44 YES! BeamNG is my absolute favorite game, surprised to see it running on such a low powered device given it's... Less than optimal optimisation, I remember trying it on a more powerful pc than that one (desktop i7-3770, igpu) and getting awful artefacts on gridmap, although that was at 1920x1080 so that may have been why.
I have wanted to play this game SO BAD, but I've never actually gotten to, due to the lack of GPU's of the computers I have access too. I have always wanted a gaming PC, but I can't buy one for a few more years, as I'm saving up for a car atm. Hopefully I can get one soon and play all the games that I've never gotten to experience.
My very first laptop was an inspiron from this era, with an almost similar chassis, but crappier specs. It’s on windows 10 now and my parents still use it for basic tasks.
This man can keep a straight face through an entire war.
He's an android
My school loaned me a Latitude 3340, as most of our school work is online.
Upon testing it, Game streaming and Android Emulator Games are actually playable.
It's got 8 GB of RAM, a 128 Samsung SSD, an intel core i5 @ 1.70ghz, but sadly only 1 GB of VRAM, which makes almost any game on the Microsoft Store/Xbox Game Pass for PC, unplayable/uninstall able. There are very few games I can install due to the lack of VRAM and space needed, but I can get about 50-60 FPS on Bluestacks 5, running Clash of Clans, and about 80 FPS running Snapchat. It's an overall good PC, it can handle pretty intensive tasks well.
My mom had the computer in the purple colour in core i3. Good ol’ times
*Quick Tip*
If you installed XTU, you would be able to checked if it's power throttling or if it's thermal throttling
xtu wouldn't even start because it's too old and not overclockable.
He played the og battlefront 2. Respect.
That keyboard is all but identical to my old L502x which was an absolute delight to use.
i have one, the audio system is one of the best ever made for a laptop
6:24 Every PC gamer's worst nightmare...
One can play retro games and games made around 2010 like GTA 4, Battlefield 3, Prince Of Persia Forgotten Sands.
Here at 1 View btw awesome video psivewri keep up the good work
I loved windows 10 you rock man
Your videos are Very interesting
A bit late, but if you use throttlestop you can often unlock the tdp limit and increase it.
It does not always work, and even if it does the laptop might just be incapable of giving more power, but it is worth trying.
Try the 15 3531, you will get awesome results
Some of these dells accept to raise the power limit using intel xtu.
It may help a bit, combined with modded phdg drivers!
The only case you won't be able to fix anything, is if it has "cpu current limit", wich sadly my dell 5537 with i7 4500u and radeon 8850m dedicated graphics had.
That damn dell 5537 ran at 2.83ghz at the desktop, but if it had a load greater than 20% it would fall hard to 1.8ghz and stay there forever.
Those are similar to the specs in my main desktop.
I remember the day i got an Inspiron 3437 in 2014, the same night it bluescreened for no reason.
Fast forward to 2015, hard drive dead.
Ahh quarantine all I do is eat Tim-tams dipped in milo
Imo, Ovaltine is better than Milo.
I wish you can do more gameplay tests with Team Fortress 2 in future videos.
I always enjoy those moments, and wish you can bring them back.
What do you do with all the laptops you restore?
Good Job! I like your channel even more than austin evans!
Suggestion : You should try to play Unreal Tournament. I love that game.
6:40
my gaming laptop with a dedicated card struggles to get above 60 fps on high settings on beam, you litterally murdered the poor dell
AH yes good old runescape, thanks for including it.
Compared to most older Thinkpads , this laptop looks like a pain in the ass to disassemble.
Using an Inspiron 3521. It's an upgrade compared to what I usually run.
6:25 i got scared by this error thought it was on mine lol
I have a HP 250 G5 with an i3 with system graphics. This runs all of the games of 2010 well. I recommend Skyrim Legendary edition which works perfectly in low graphics. I would also recommend Bioshock, Mass Effect 2, Fallout New Vegas and Age of Empires 2 HD. These games would work well on your laptop well also.
i was playing runescape on the side when the clip of it popped up lmao
2 words: eucalyptus oil
Chip F and trusty knife 🙂
And methylated spirits.
Xportables yes
Fit Fogey yes

"Strange man" for only $14.99?!?! I'll take your entire stock!!
Great video❗️👍✅
My computer have Core i3 as well!
8gb ram 120gb ssd?Thats really good for the price!
Have you checked the VRMS that power the cpu? One of mine was dead and I was missing out on a lot of performance
i come here to see thermal paste being replaced & a eucalyptus oil wipedown
just remember my Asus with i3 4030u
I avoid the Nvidia 7xx equipped models though, I can't see how long more the drivers would stay current. I wonder if the machine can take an aftermarket 1080p screen though?
do a Dell Latitude E6530 review or repair please
Q: How does eucalyptus oil help to clean the case ?
Eucalyptus oil has natural anti-microbial[11][12] and antiseptic[13] properties and is used in household cleaning applications.[14][15][16] It is commonly used in commercial laundry products such as wool wash liquid. It is used as a solvent for removing grease and sticky residue.[17][18]

@@me123270 thx for the knowledge lol
The problem of all of these CPU's was that unconfigurable TDP. If there was a option to give it 25W or even 35W. CPU would handle everything much better. Good that today in newest hardware it changed and we have configurable TDP.
hey Psiverwri, could you give me some recommendations on how to build an old pc?
