Have a look at the original music video for "Monkey Business", and around 1:30 you'll see that Rob Affuso is playing the hi-hat and snare drum purely with his left hand and the cowbell with his right hand, as his cowbell is on the right side of his kit 😵💫. You can also see it in some of the live videos. Playing it (mostly) with one hand like Martin does somehow seems a bit easier. I've been trying to do it with two hands, and I turn into a spastic 😅.

This one was filmed before I got it! 😭😭 I would have been using it if I had it at the time because it looks and sounds sick! 🤘🤘 similar sound too! I dont know what they were using on this album, but it remains one of the deepest cowbell sounds I'm aware of in this style of music!

Fucking nailed it, man. This isn't the most insanely technical drumming ever put to music, but there are some tricky parts to it for sure and you played it all very confidently. Your kit sounds fantastic as well, which helps 😅

Great cover!!! Most impressed by the mix!! I have learned that the hardest thing to accomplish while recording and uploading is the overall mix and sound of the drum kit. Mic placement, settings on your drum mixer and on your computer all play into it and whatever you did, it sounds awesome. Many people uploading a mic drum kit have trouble getting that true studio mix and you did it👍…. Oh, and your playing is awesome as well!! Keep up the great work 🤘🤘
man, Thank you so much! I can tell you that you nailed it with everything that does into it! haha The mix is something I've constantly been learning and sculpting since I started the channel! Sometimes the mix and making sure everything is EQ'd properly takes longer than the video itself! haha

And the left is filling in the snares, hats and crashes not on the beat... I guess that sounds more complicated than I thought...
There is always the playback speed option you can adjust to slow it down!

Adler seemed to "fit" better and serve the music better. Sorum was awesome as well but I'm just partial to Adler.

I think when someone gets to a point of being really good at drums, then it is about fighting the temptation to overplay. You are really good yet disciplined at the same time which makes for a small percentage of drummers out there. Good stuff.

But he didn't. and I think that's what sets apart those musicians. Granted I did add some flare with the cymbal spins and stick tosses. But I wanted to challenge myself to land those while still keeping the groove.
