Disclaimer: Obviously this is all just speculation, I have no idea why the heck the college admission boards let me in (their mistake). I recognize how lucky I am to be able to attend university and have such valuable educational opportunities. My mom enrolled me in my middle school in like June and we went back like 3 days before school started and they lost the papers so my mom had to like do them all again lol, my school forgot me too

I had the exact same problem with that too! Just be real and be you! One of my friends wrote a whole essay on not knowing what her passions were and she excelled with that. I will have a video up on my channel in a couple of weeks about this very topic!

Carolyn Grace Marie this actually happens A LOT. When I was applying to JMU, my school also forgot to send in my transcripts. But it turned out okay because I go there now.
so fun fact I was in one of sydney's classes and I got to hear this whole story unfold. I felt so bad for her every single time she talked about it since I knew how hard she worked for it.

this sorta made me feel better bc every video i watched regarding college was like some super super like “i only took the sat once and got a 1550 and didn’t really try” and here i am studying my butt of just to barley make a 1200

You and me both. For the PSAT I got an 1190 and imma study my butt off to get that sweet goal line of 1250 on the actual test so that the universities can look at me as a somewhat competent student. My GPA has been holding on to that 3.5 but Idk if I can hold it. Hopefully I do.
I too got into every University I applied to. Granted I only applied to one school but I technically got into every school I applied to
If you don’t mind me asking, did you take advanced classes in highschool? Do I have to take advanced classes to get accepted to a good college?
@@claire-hz7ks I got accepted into college with a 2.6, graduated with a 2.8 (all normal classes) and still got $3 grand in scholarships per semester (the tuition is $8.2 grand a semester). Granted my school is a bit smaller so they were a bit more lenient.
Here's what you need to do: look at all the requirements to get into the schools you want and see if you meet them. For my school the requirement was either a 3.0 GPA or a 1000 SAT score (I got 1130). When I got accepted they basically said "your sat was great, your GPA is acceptable. Welcome"

this was super helpful!! i’m a junior in high school and we’re doing a bunch of research on colleges in my ap lang class so we’re prepared and know how to apply as seniors in the fall. it’s extremely stressful and scary bc i’m definitely not ready to be an adult and i feel low key stupid and almost like i won’t be able to get into any colleges but i have similar grades to you so i’m feeling a lot more confident :) also you applied to 3 of the colleges i was really interested in going to so even more helpful :))

I took the ACT 3 times: the first time I got a 19, the second time I got a 18, and the third time I got a 19 again...yeah my scores sucked but I was able to do Dual Enrollment due to my scores on the PERT test so yay!!

Thanks for sharing. Not too many young people would be brave enough to share their SAT's if they weren't happy with them. Hard work is what gets you anywhere and being articulate so you are going to do well.

I’m a senior in high school and I am really excited for college this video helped a lot I think I’ll be apply to 5-6 schools just because I have application fee waivers for 2 of them and they are all in California.

ACT exam is more straightforward and the questions and the scoring is easier to understand. You can also average them together giving your composite, but the problem is that it’s a very time paced test!

You have 2 options: you can go to colleges just using your grade from your final exam, or you can choose to take another exam (that's for colleges like medicine, low, police etc)
But it's pretty simple
All you have to do it's just study at the main classes or, if you're a weirdo like me, you can study at everything....

hey! i need some advice. so, Im in 8th grade and am currently picking my highschool classes. I'm taking every other class honors, however I'm not so sure in math. I'm taking algebra 1 right now and the high school options for me is Algebra 2 and Honors Algebra 2. I have an 87 in my first marking period for math and an 89 in the second marking period. To take honors I need at least a 90. So, since I am not taking honors Algebra 2, will that affect my chances of getting into Penn State eventually? I know I sound crazy considering i'm only in 8th grade but I've always wanted to go to Penn State since I was little and I worry that this may affect my chances.
