hey man idk too much about reason 5 since i had mixcraft than went straight to reason 6. i do know that the new reason 7 has actual audio quantizing so if a sample is out of time you can drag around parts of it to make it perfectly match up to the beat. and it also has a new visual EQ and some other col new features, im thinking about upgrading in a little bit i think an upgrade is $130
