- Night of the Comet actors Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney gave a panel at New Jersey Horror Con Spring 2022 to talk about this classic movie, their careers, and to answer fan questions.
Catherine Mary Stewart portrayed Regina Belmont in Night of the Comet, and is also known for The Last Starfighter, Weekend at Bernie’s, The Apple, New Amsterdam, Knight Rider, Limitless (TV Series), The Outer Limits, Hearts Are Wild, and many more.
Kelli Maroney played Samantha Belmont in Night of the Comet, but also appeared in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Ryan’s Hope, True Blood, Hell’s Kitty, Chicago Hope, Chopping Mall, Night Caller, and Murder She Wrote to name a few.

Watched it for the very first time tonight on RUclips. I was 21 in 1984 and wasn’t aware of this movie. I’m now 60 and had a total blast revisiting 1980s Los Angeles . The 80s were AMAZING!!
I was 18 so not far behind ya, man to go to a Friday night football game with a case of Little Kings or a standing room only house party again, damn if those weren’t the days !
This is one of those movies that gets better each time you watch it.
My wife and I watched tonight. Such a great 80’s movie.

Night of the Comet, is near the top of my list of "Comfort movies". Movies I watch when I'm having a bad anxiety day. It always pulls me out of it and leaves me smiling.
omg! I can't believe how young they still look. I loved them both but Kelli's character, Sam, was my favorite. I'm off to watch the movie once again!

Great to see both Catherine & Kelli still look awesome. Thanks to Kelli's iconic Sam character ( my favourite in the movie), I get weak whenever I meet a girl in a cheerleader outfit !
I met both of them at Flashback Weekend Chicago Saturday August 6th! I got great individual Selfies with them & an Awesome Photo Op with them both too!

I'm gen X, I've already been in trouble on facebook for offending someone in a supposed gen x group. The year is 1984 you have two smart talented actresses. The cutest cheerleader of all time Kelli Maroney and the drop dead gorgeousness of Mary Stewart. There's no current day, so called, media influencers that can match them!
The cool thing about this show was it was a duel of chicks. They stuck together, and seemed like real sisters.
Fun to see them together again after so long. I remember watching this on video and loving back in the day
I’d love to meet those two someday.

These actress still look beautiful even to this day.
1984-2022 women look great, didn’t know Kelli was in fast times at ridgemont high till watching this vid now I remember her in the movie.
Just watched it tonight on my outdoor projector.
I hear Kelli’s voice and instantly see a cheerleaders uniform, my gosh to be 18 in 84’ again 😌
In my opinion the night of the comment was the perfect '80s horror movie and had the right amount of cheese and not genuinely horrific causing anyone horrific traumatic nightmares but it's enjoyable it's something that you can watch with your preteen kids today and probably not giving them nightmares and it is not like the sick disgusting serial killer s*** today which could be realistic.
And it may be the perfect 80s movie. It will be either this or something like one of the John Hughes movies.

Saw the movie night of the comet on RUclips loved it it is similar to vanishing on 7th Street there is nothing but a pile of clothing behind if the comet wiped out life on Earth and there's a power outage with the shadows both movies are great

When Star Trek Voyager came on TV for the first time I saw Cakotay and yelled out Hector! Night of the Comet was an 80s icon.
Top 10 movie list; right up there with, and somewhere in between, "Blade Runner" and "Day of the Dead": making post apocalypse fun!

Catherine my 80s crush. I was a teen and rented movies because she was in them and they were cool sci fi and such. Last Starfighter then Night of the Comet and then Nightflyers.
Watched the movie in 1984 and loved it. As a young man, I had a hard time deciding which one was the hottest.
