Thank you Bryan for the excellent video!! Praying for her and her family 🙏 I don't believe that hiking, camping, hunting, or whatever, alone is a good idea! Way too many things can happen out there. Way too risky! No way!!! Again, thanks so much! 🌹
Common sense, she drowned. She didn’t check the weather before she went paddle boarding, weather became bad and high probability her body became snagged on some trees under the water.
Omg! Thank you for finally covering this!!! I’ve been posting on all of the RUclips channels I listen to. Let’s hope we have answers soon! And that she comes back safely.
❤As a child our family would camp here every summer back in the 80's. Me and my sister were warned about all the dangers of this area. We wouldn't play to far from camp. We ran into many bears and mountain lions. But we knew not to bother them. Times have changed since then. I pray for her safe return
Odd things to consider. Going paddleboarding at 8:30PM? Didn't take her dog with her? Paddleboard found stowed on other side of lake? This looks more like an abduction, than anything else....
This girl is on my mind often, as we visit that area frequently. The rivers, lakes and mountains of Montana claimed a lot of lives this summer. Some still missing. Praying for her family and friends. I can't imagine anything worse than the unknown.

If her board was found all the way across the lake in that cove that's frequented by people, and nobody reported finding the board and putting it there, she didn't drown. She either disappeared on purpose, or it is foul play.
Somebody could have put the board there that was just visiting and never even heard this girl went missing. Not everyone follows the news and they cud live 500 miles away
Such an uninformed and stupid remark. You really think that if foul play was involved that her attacker would just leave her paddleboard as a piece of evidence? No, this is most likely a drowning. They just haven't recovered her body from the reservoir yet.
First reaction is whoever put the paddle board there knows where Emily is. But why leave a clue why not make it disappear as well or come forward if you found it. She won't be found in the lake, it is absolutely foul play and eventually someone will start talking.
I live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington at about the same latitude as the area where Emily went missing in Montana. Many comments here are questioning a solo paddle board outing at 8:30pm. In July the sun doesn’t fully set until 10:30-11pm at the apex of summer. I know it sounds weird but it’s true. If she intended on a 90-120 minute sunset outing it’s not as bizarre as it sounds. Still the root problem here is probably the “solo” element more than the time.
So many people won’t wear the leash when they paddleboard. I always do because it can save your life. I’ve been laughed at even for using one. When it’s windy out there it can become impossible to go anywhere and your board can get away from you quickly. I read she went out after 8:30 pm. It could easily have been dark out there.
Yah going out alone in the real outdoors like that is always risky but hopefully they do find her alive , it's terrible when someone you know is missing
The 31 federal dams, including Hungry Horse reservoir, are owned and operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. The FBI has jurisdiction. Invite the FBI CAST group to create an electronic footprint for her including a Geo Fence where she launched from and where her board was found.
The disappearance of Emily has haunted me. She has so much in common with my wife. I have been praying for her, her loved ones, and those searching for me. May God sent comfort to all involved. If someone harmed her be sure that their day of reckoning will come. God almighty will be their judge.
I know the easy answer for most people is foul play, but that is very rarely the case. Much more likely that she wasn't wearing her paddle board leash, fell into the cold water, couldn't get back to her paddle board, and drowned. Hoping she is found soon so that her family can have closure
That would be very strange due to her board being found with the paddle tethered to it, directly across from where she parked at another parking area, which are sparsely scattered along the reservoir That board was put there on purpose by someone
The number of women going missing is astounding. I often wonder if predators prefer to hunt in these far away places, hoping to come upon a single woman. They are easy prey when they are alone, even if they are armed.
Accidents can happen to anyone, and one lone person (especially female) is a target for those with bad intentions. I wish people would be firm about going out in pairs. There is safety in numbers. So sad to keep seeing these disappearances.
It's so crazy how people hiking (as far as we know) can just disappear in 2024. PCT hiker disappeared a few years ago and nothing belonging to him or himself have been found in 7 years, crazy weird stuff.
Of course this could just be an accident. Banking on foul play. Her paddle board found on the other side of the lake could be a decoy. It certainly has kept people focused on her being in the lake. That’s a big body of water. If she fell off and lost contact with her board in the middle of that reservoir, the most likely thing is that she drown. Does anyone know if she was a strong swimmer? Did she wear a lifevest when she paddle boarded? Did the paddleboard have a leash? Someone could’ve found the paddleboard and then stowed it. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
Going into mountainous area ! Should be 2 people at all times ! Maybe more than 2 ! Go in a group ! Many disappear going into Parks nowadays ! Be safe ! Beware ! 🌊🏄🏼♀️ 🌊 👥 🤔

Considering Emily’s outdoor skills. She was extremely capable in that environment . Something happened. I suspect foul play. Here’s a few possibilities. She joined up with someone out on the lake that was a predator. They lured Her to that remote Cove maybe under guise of needing help or something? Or she decided to check that cove out herself and ran into a bad situation. Question. Are Motorized craft allowed on that body of water? If so . She could have met foul play by a predator in a Boat. Then the Boat towed Her paddle board to that Cove . They load up the Boat and Emily and split the scene. 🙏s big time. Her Board made it to the Cove. No one has come forward reporting finding the Board stranded in the Water!!!
Yes there are motor boats and is getting to be a pretty busy reservoir. Next, evidently there was a weather event sometime during the evening she went missing including high winds and therefore waves that could have surged her paddle board onto higher ground or to a position that made it look like it was stowed....the information concerning her board and paddle seems a little vague and that is kind of critical as far as I'm concerned.
She obviously made it across the water and stowed her paddle board. Sounds to me like foul play? You could blame her disappearance on an animal, but I doubt it.
Three bits of info that would be interesting to know: how cold/deep is the water, are motorised boats allowed on the resevoir and was there any indication of damage to the board? Could it have been an accident/panic/cover-up? If the water is cold and deep, she could still be in there. Otherwise it sounds like she deliberately went to the other side to meet someone with further intentions unknown.
Motorized boats are allowed at all launch sites. An interesting fact is that all fishing and boating users are Permitted! Break-out that spread sheet… The reservoir is vast! It is 34-miles long!
I’m praying for a positive conclusion to this but as soon as I saw that area her board an paddle were found, I had a sinking feeling she went on land to be social and ran into someone nefarious possibly. I’d be curious to know if her board was found on land or afloat in the water? Prayers!!
She definitely didn't drown if her paddle board with paddle attached, were on the shore. My guess is she went to use the bathroom before her trip back. It sounds like she was kidnapped.
If she fell off her paddle board, due to a current, And the board got caught on some tree snags the first thing she’s going to do disconnect herself from that paddleboard. She could’ve very easily been sucked down and when that happens it’s extremely difficult to ever find the body. People come to Montana and think they can go climbing, hiking and get in the water and they end up falling, drowning and getting attacked by bears. She wasn’t a native Montanan and these things always happens to out of staters cause they don’t know the dangers. All they see is isn’t this pretty……
I would say she was kidnap while she was out on her paddleboard And I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if they find her body on one of the islands in the vicinity
Judging by the location and the facts known, I’m guessing she either got caught in some wind, and got disconnected from her board or she crossed and something sketchy happened when she made it to the shore. I know the pain of having a friend go missing and not be found. I hope they get closure ❤
Only the insane can be fearless. Then there's stupid. No one should go into the wilderness solo. The days when solo adventures and travel were safe, those are long gone. Not in the USA, not anywhere.
Few people go missing in the wild, the overwhelming amount of people who go missing do so from cities. These cases just get so much attention because of their rarity. Most solo hikers return safely. And there have been many cases of people disappearing from groups as well. Life is not without risk, and to live in fear is to not live at all.
They need to start installing cameras at these park areas to help identify suspicious activity. It would help give leads on missing persons as well as catch thieves stealing from parked vehicles.
She likely paddled across the reservoir, stored her board and tried to get a ride or walk back to her car. Something fishy happened after she stored her board. I highly doubt she drowned.

This one seems like a serial killer like murder. A two hour paddleboard trip directly across the reservoir>? If she followed the shore it would of been even longer. Someone planted that paddleboard. I say that because the spot is directly accessible by vehicle, Both her entrance and exit. She might not even had made it to the reservoir and her abductor may have learned that information from her before she even ever arrived. If she drowned her body would of floated>? Or is the water too cold for the body to float>? Did she normally wear a life vest>? I dont know this one just has too many red herrings of human involvement so im sorry my mind went there.

My first thought....this is of a nefarious origin. The area is remote, and mobile criminal activity is unheard of, including mobile drug labs.
This is a very weird missing person case.
Target of Opportunity?…Predator staking out the lakeside watching for prey?🤔
Did I miss this?...What about her dog?
Was her dog found?
I understand her dog was home ❤
