She certainly gets off her ass when she winds up. That was beautiful. Thank you sir.
You're welcome. Very happy you enjoyed it 👍 😊
Nice one! I spotted myself standing line-side near Hursty.
..and now I check my photo I can see the gopro on 190 haha
I left the gopro there and met it in Hurstbridge. I didn't like the idea of sitting there with it 🤣🤣 Glad you had a good day 👍😊
Can the loco run around the train at Hurstbridge?
There is no run around track at Hurstbridge. The train went out with a locomotive on each end. 👍😊
Why are they using a locomotive with the tait train?
@@geoffreythorburn8030 that is a very good question which I don't have an answer to. Maybe for the attraction of steam to the general public as well? 👍😊
@@geoffreythorburn8030could be Incase the Tait cracks the shits and breaks down?
@@geoffreythorburn8030 There are a number of benefits to running like that - the Tait is much better suited to rapid loading/unloading compared to the E cars, so well suited for suburban shuttles. It allows a push-pull operation while only paying the operating costs for a single steam loco. The steam loco is operationally redundant, but brings in the general public crowds!
Wow ! I lived in Diamond Creek 1970 to 1973 .. Eltham 1973 to 1978 went to Hurstbridge high school (school long gone ) from 1970 to 1974 the memory's this bought back .. like Neil Marks throwing burning paper from a Red Rattler between Wattle Glen and Dimo and starting a bushfire , getting chucked off the Dimo platform as the train was coming .... a couple of epic after school fights on the Hurstbridge platform ( not me other dudes ) the young hippie teacher who came on the train and smoked dope every morning and evening, so much that you have brought back thank you so much 👍👍👍
There are a lot of memories their. And a lot of experiences. 😊 Very happy to bring them back for you to think of and glad you enjoyed the video 👍 😀
The electrified country branch line...
It's a bit like that 👍😊
If you think it is country now, imagine how rural in 1926. Shame they didn't do Whittlesea and Healesville too.
I once went from Eltham to Hurstbridge on a Sunday, it was a single Tait motor and the overhead was supported by wooden poles.
Excellent
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Putty Cat Thank You for that nice ride and have a great weekend.
