@@contentm3893 Thank you! That really depends on your budget and the scope of what you’re planning to use the camera for. If you plan to do it professionally and intensively, I would say go for the A1 for that extra level of extra speed, 4K 120fps, better weathersealing(I used both cameras under intense dusty conditions in the field and the A1 handled it like a champ), dual card slot and handling of the camera. If you don’t have that extra budget, I would say the A7CR will do just fine. You’ll still be able to nail every shot you’d like to in the field when it comes to wildlife, landscapes or lifestyle content. Annnd, with the release of the new A1 mk ii, I think you’ll be able to grab a second hand A1 at a good rate right if you search hard enough. So I vote A1!
This is incredible! I have no idea why you don’t have millions of views and subscribers. Also how did the 200-600mm perform. I heard from a few people that it isn’t the best lens for African safari because the minimal focal length is 200mm. Instead they suggested I look at sigma 60-600. But I still went with 200-600 because I think sony lens has better and faster autofocus and they are also compatible with teleconverter. What’s your opinion?
@@syedinamuddin6703 Thank you for the kind words! It has been my go-to lens whenever I’m out in the field. I would say it’s a pretty effective range to nail all the angles you need (especially if you wanna get that exaggerated compression of the sun with your subjects) - though if you can afford a 100-400GM and have only one camera body, I would recommend that lens instead. Ultimately I would prefer to use Sony lenses for the compatibility and reliable autofocus 💯
Thank you so much! Yes I do manual focus whenever the situation calls for it (especially when the subjects are not in a clear open scenario) What I do to make it really convenient (especially when panning with your subject as it moves in an open area to e.g a bush) is to customize the button on my lens to switch to autofocus or manual focus which allows me to react on the fly to not miss a shot.
Thank you! I was there for 11 full days to film these scenes. And there's still so much more to capture. I can't wait to go back there and experience more of its magic and create a full video! ☺

How do you get and keep focus on the leopard when it’s behind the grass? Manual?
