@@FlashForwardmg You forgot to demonstrate how do you remove and install the head on the legs. That's one of the main features of the Aktiv System for me. I often work on a tripod and slider intercahangably. Swap is literally done in singlke digit seconds with camera levelled at the same time.
Sachtler is not a low cost option, but they are in no way overpriced, their price is completely justified. Now I have Aktiv 12, but I work with a 30 year old Sachtler 18 quite ofren and it still works perfectly.
Whoever is serious about this job shouldn't ''save'' money on tripod. Good tripod makes it easier to work, with less frustration and it also saves money. To me the worst possible thing is if I can't ballance the camera the way i can let it go and it will stay exactly there, same goes if the frictions behave inconsistently, but the worst are the tacky heads.

I’m curious about the head system and I think the latch looks super sick and practical. However is the head removable and able to be put on a dolly with a tie down still?
It is but you need one of the aktiv series proprietary mounts to make it all work

these legs cost more than I paid $1450 for Sachtler FSB 6 + speedlock cf 75's (open box / new state), insanity. The speedlock 75's have same system as this one and weight almost half (2 kg vs 3.5 kg).
idk m8, seems like a rip off unless you find it on a good sale
