I had a consultation for a standard tub to shower conversion; the quote was over $14,000. Too expensive! The commercial said it is affordable and that just isn't true. Similar looking materials can be bought at Lowe's and installed for much less!

They don't say it's AFFORDABLE! They say "for only 99 dollars a month!" and NOT tell you how many months. This is simple, gull-the-sucker selling.

Way expensive, 08.01.23 priced a rebuild on a small shower and it was $19,500!!! I could buy a car for that!!!!
We just had a consultation for a tub to walk-in conversion. With basic white and no up grades, $12,700. I live on Long Island in NY, and this was more than I expected, but I don’t know anything really about construction costs. I’m still thinking about it, or maybe I should see other companies.
HECK NO! For just your tub? They don’t even renovate the whole bathroom just cut out the old and drop in the new. I just scheduled an appointment but will probably cancel now after reading comments. What a scam. You can hire someone to redo your entire bathroom with tile for under 10 if it’s a small bathroom.
@@trevorjohnsondesign3530 these prices must only reflect areas around NYC. Believe it or not, the retail quote was $16,000. After a few discounts, the quote was $12,700. That would include removal of tiled walls and tub, installed acrylic panels from floor to ceiling, a shower pan, and shower head. We’ll get a few other quotes before preceding.
About a year ago my wife wanted the front and rear doors to the house to be changed and to include a screen door. The doors we had were about 75% glass, and with the increase in crime in the area, she wanted new doors with a small window set high. the end cost, $6000 !! I think we are done with any upgrades for now.
If you follow their long-winded spiel, you see an EXAMPLE the shows "$15000.00, over 132 months. Yeah, that's over ten years. They sell absolute shit, not gold, installed by local idiots, not "trained professional craftsman", in not a day, but WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT, SINCE THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR MONEY, AND MANY ARE OVER A MONTH.
ALL the formerly name-brand companies have been whored out, literally; Jacuzzi now stands for a national brand turned to shit by local idiots and a thousand strikes against it in local media blogs. Bell & Howell went the same way; now they sell cheap Chinese super LED lights, not cameras or projectors.
The one day installation is not enough
There is no way they can uninstalll the previous bathroom and replace it with their product in just one day without taking shorcuts.

Don't forget folks: unless your current tub/shower is literally disintegrating and falling thru the floor, REPAIRING IT WILL BE CHEAPER. Do you really want to rip out all the ceramic tile (which likely just needs patching) and cover it with shit plastic as thick as a credit card? They make their cost back a thousand times over with cleverly patterned shit like that. And ANYBODY can install grab rails, you just have to be able to find the damn stud. Wise up folks. Jacuzzi is now only a trade name, TOTALLY bereft of any and all connotations of former quality and assurance. January, 2019, they bought Jacuzzi and gutted it.
