Very nice and clear explanation of the topic and what is important. You explained it in simple form, good for newbies like me. The only thing that Im missing is maybe some basic tips or examples for e.g. universal oil thickness for different RC cars sizes which is nightmare for very beginners. Otherwise one of the best explanation videos Ice seen since I bought RC car. 👍
Thanks! There are just so many variables that it’s so hard to make a good recommendation. What do you want to do with the car, ur driving style, the powertrain you’re using, the gearing, etc. all influence what would be the best set up. I do think if you’re using the drivetrain supplied with the car, the manufacturers do a pretty good job of giving you a nice balanced baseline recommendation in the manual.
I genuinely wanted to watch this and truly believe it would be beneficial for everyone who needs it but from a production standpoint including the music in the background without proper audio mixing to increase your voice made the video unbearable to watch the truth is music for a tutorial video should be limited to intro/outro
Appreciate the input. Most “production” is done by my 11 year old daughter. We aren’t RUclips pro’s or trying to become famous. She likes RUclips and is learning editing, i love RC, and we combined our interests over covid to share something fun which is our channel. We got a lot of feedback early on from folks that videos with just talking are a little dry and boring and some music underlay helps. Everyone has a personal preference. However, I think what we are learning is everyone’s sound is a little different and the background music seems to have different levels for various watchers. It’s really subtle and less than 5% mix when she did it and tested before posting up. We’ll keep working on it…..or she will, ill just keep running cars:)
I agree that, while giving a tutorial, it’s easier to focus when there isn’t music in the background when you’re speaking. However, I wouldn’t call it unbearable! Thank you to you and your kiddo for putting in the effort to help others. Music while bashing is cool though…all the best!
Beautifully explained. How you worded everything along with the visuals aloud my brain to actually understand it! Thank you!!
Thanks for all the efforts you put into explaining difficult arguments like this in an easy way!
You're very welcome!

I just watched the whole video and didn't even notice the music lol
music could prob be toned down say 10-15% but it was in no way distracting or did it hinder me from hearing the talking points.
