What a marvelous performance, thank you so much for sharing with RUclips. FYI all three of these musicians are superstars in Europe. Eberle and Skride are soloists who have won major competitions and performed with major orchestras. Veronika Hagen is indisputably one of the world's greatest viola players -- has performed with her siblings in the Hagen Quartet for more than 30 years.
Bravissimo, More; rather than Less is more. All of the Above. Bravissimo!
This is so god! I learn new things about classik musik every day....This consert I put in by my favorites!
2 sec in the Scherzo: "oh, that's Dvorak :) "
Beautiful music beautifully played by three beautiful ladies, what can be better! Thank you
Why would anyone bother to detract from this artistic gem of a performance
Magnifique ❤
This is a great piece of music!
That was wonderful. A big thank you to all three musicians.
Simply outstanding playing especially the scherzo and trio.
Kammermusik vom Allerfeinsten! Welch ein Wohlklang! Bravissimo!
Beautiful ! Thank you for posting :)
wonderful. Heart melting melody
Beautiful music and playing.
Excellent; many thanks!
Espetacular!!!
Playing this now using violin viola cello transcription. So able to follow using score. Love the sparkling performance of the highest level. The freedom in the 4th mvt is an eye opener. Bravo!
Could you perhaps tell me where you found the violin-viola-cello version? Many thanks.
Stunning!
Wonderful!
Que hermosa y delicada versión de una obra tan intimista.
Perfection.
really nice
Bravoo....
Bravissimo !
Bravo
Expect the next 10'000 views to be from me.
Well done. Baiba Skribe would have preferred to play first part.
👏👏👏 Kvorak
Would like to hear more of the beautiful second violin tone sometimes - first violin deploying 'screamatura' ie the soprano vocal style of singing louder the higher it goes? Or maybe it's just how it comes across in the recording.
Agree that 2nd violin needs to be more assertive. The "background" notion must go. We need to hear all the harmonics clearly.
Pagina musicale poco abusata, ma di eguale efficacia al pari della cameristica del compositore più nota!
Much better than the with cello trio!
Microphones are hitting the music stands! Other than that, marvellous playing.
I don't think the microphones are hitting the music stands but that it's Mrs. Eberle's stomping. Fully agree however, marvelous playing.
Hitting the music stands? You can hear them? Can you imagine the musicians playing also hearing what you hear? Are you suggesting that your hearing is better than theirs? Apparently we have some very odd characters here exercising their typing fingers and hearing things that don't exist!
This is terrific playing that is defaced by the excellent violinist, Veronika Eberle, constantly pounding her foot. This is an amateur mistake and you have to wonder whether anyone has told her how damaging and annoying this habit is? Her other performances often exhibit the same flaw. Please, for those of us who love the way you play, find a way to stop doing this.
Seriously? I have watched and listened to this -- and many another -- Hochrhein performance countless times, and have failed to notice any such "flaw" in any player's movements. It would seem that you are simply annoyed by a deviation from your own rather high-strung opinion of 'proper decorum'. May I suggest, when you listen to a performance in the future, that you simply close your eyes and think of England.
@voilaviolamh Maybe someone should "put their foot down" and speak to her. Other than that the performance of a beautiful piece by Dvorak that I've not known was played flawlessly and that's no small "feat" for any "feet" ha ha
this is the most dramatic thing I've ever read lololololol Thanks for the laugh
It is somewhat distracting.
@voilaviolamh Rudolf Serkin used to hum. I can doubly and honestly say I've heard him in the Mozart D Minor. He was somewhat close to the key, sometimes. In the second half he played the Brahms B flat, and needless to say he was way too busy to hum. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.
